How can I create webpages as PDF or Jpeg form for client to proof

Hello All,
I am doing a website for a client and need to send a proof to him at the end of the day.
Is there a way to export the page with the actual pixel dimensions in a jpeg or PDF without publishing each time. I tried doing a screen capture (apple +shift +4) but if you have long vertical page you can't get the capture to scroll down.
any other suggestions how I can export a single page as a graphic.

Try Paparazzi@. It can make pdfs, jpgs and other image formats of your web pages even if they are too long to fit on the screen for a screenshot.

Using data from a spreadsheet, how can I create multiple completed PDFs from a form template?

Note that I am completely new to adobe acrobat.
I have a form template for a completion certificate for students who take a summer workshop where I'm working. It includes data such as their name and the program they completed. I have all the necessary information for each student in an excel spread sheet. Rather than sit here and enter data into the form 300+ times, I want to automate the process. I'd like to be able to specify the spread sheet and either have acrobat just print out all 300, or save them as seperate files so I can print them easily.

Thanks for the response! I'd be interested in writing a script for it (I've actually been researching it a bit already). I'm completely new to Javascript (and scripting) but have a fair level of experience with c/c++ so I feel it shouldn't be too bad. I've looked at the Acrobat JavaScript API Reference (http://www.adobe.com/content/dam/Adobe/en/devnet/acrobat/pdfs/js_api_reference.pdf) a bit but am having trouble finding a way to read the spreadsheet's data in (I was planning on using a csv file). I found Doc.importTextData(), which can parse a tab delimited file and from the sounds of it fill in the forms automatically (though I would much prefer a c style file interface that lets me write the parsing logic). Every time I try to call importTextData it returns -1 though, which means "Warning: User Canceled File Select". When I call it direct from the JavaScript Debug Console I just get a -1, but when I have it execute when I save I get "NotAllowedError: Security settings prevent access to this property or method.". I did a bit of research on that and modified my script to look like:

I've also tried running Acrobat as an administrator, but I still get the same error. I could just not be understanding privileges correctly.

        - read the row in from the file
        - fill out the fields in the PDF using the read data
        - save the file with a new file name.
If there is a better method to do this, just let me know.

You can make a PDF file out of you notes and handouts but using the Adobe PDF printer.
Open your PowerPoint Document then go to “File” “Print”
Select ‘Adobe PDF” Printer
Under slides, select which way you want to print. Note it will not print to a printer but to a PDF file.
After then go into printer Properties and Setup PDF properties, do the following: (see second image below)
Default: PDF/A 1-b
Adobe Security: none (change as needed)
Adobe Output folder: Prompt for Adobe file name
Adobe Page size: Letter (change as needed)
Check the following check boxes
View Adobe PDf Results,
Add Document Information,
Rely on system fonts only,
Delete Log files for successful jobs.
Select OK
A pop will ask you where you want to save the document. The file extension should be PDF. After giving the file name select okay and the file should popup as a PDF. Down side is if you want to speaker notes included then you will have to do another file, like wise with just screen shots then combine into one PDF document.
I used Acrobat IX Pro. So to do this you need Acrobat IX or X Pro.

On the first page I would like to choose the job_title from adf read-only table.
After clicking on the "create new employee button" a creation form appears in which the job_id field is set with previous selection.

Hi,
usually the foreign key is only set if the VO you select is dependent from a master. If e.g. you have DepartmentsVO1 that has an EmployeeVO3 as its nested VO, then creating a new instance of employees automatically add the foreign key. If you add EmployeesVO1, which is not dependent to DepartmensVO1, then the foreign key is not set. So if this is the case in THURA (keep in mind that this is not an Oracle demo but a sample used in a book about ADF) then all you need is to take the independent VO when building the new employee form.

Well that's the question - how do I create an email list sign up form for my iWeb website?
Could someone tell me what's the simplest way using iWeb to create an interactive option
for users to enter their email address and the info be forwarded to me so I can add to an

It would be great if, since I'm using a Mac computer & iWeb, there was a way to have the
submitted emails automatically added to a group in my Mac Addressbook.
I got this MacBook Pro in Sept 2010 so I believe that's iWeb '08 I'm using.
Anyway I'm thinking there should be a way to do this with some system involving an HTMK
Widget and an email account.
By the way this is for hosting through a 'real server', not MobileMe (which I plan to get later
when I can afford it).
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

Website forms require some code in a snippet and a formmail.php script on the server to process the form and send the info to the required email address. You can do all this when you switch to a "real" server.
In the meantime you can use a form or marketing service or, better still, an application like MailShoot which generates the form, handles the database and sends out the bulk emails.

i want to create a pre calculation(contribution accounting) for Materials in BI-Integrated Planning. These Materials aren't in the master data. So I create a new Info Object for pre calculated materials with only a material-number as key and a text-description.
Now I want to write a Exit-Function, which creates new materials in these Info Object. The user should start this function in a planning application in BexAnalyzer. There the user should have the possibility to enter a text-description for the new material. How can I create such a Text-Field in BexAnalyzer and how can I read this text filed in a planning function (exit).

Hi Jürgen,
you can create a parameter for this in the exit function and a variable for the parameter. In BEx Analyzer then create a button for the planning function; in the button parameterization use VAR_NAME = , i.e. use an Excel formula here to get the value from an Excel input field.
The command range should be some 'hidden area' in your Excel sheet.
But may be you don't need this. Use a characteristic without master data. Then ensure that that the query uses the option 'key' as display. In new lines you can then enter the key, the system creates a SID on the fly (but the text table will not be updated). In this scenario you may take text also from the key. May be you can update the text table (online or in batch) by simply using function modules from function group RSNDI_MD (not released by SAP).
But observere that the system in BI Planning reads only the active version, i.e. if you change something on the fly the changes may not be visible.

The jpeg created by JPEGEncoder was in true color (24 bits) , how can i create or convert the jpeg to 256 colors . Because i want to convert the jpeg to gif in further , but the gifencoder i found can only accept the images that with 256 colors only , so any one can give me a help ? Or the ways that convert a jpeg to gif using java ?

To reduce the number of colors in an image, try:

This does a very good job of reducing colors without making the image look too different.
Further, if you want to encode a GIF file, try using:

I think you can use either 'Submit' button or web service for the validation. When we use the web service then it will work in offline mode also(user has to be on intranet - either via remote connectivity using VPN or office network) .
if you are going for 'Submit' and If you want to validate the number when the user enter value, then write the code in 'Exit' event .
Write the below code in the event.
ContainerFoundation_JS.SendMessageToContainer(event.target, "submit", "", "", "", "");
This code will trigger the submit event in the web Dynpro component.

Hi ,
On the tool bar you have an option "Browser" which is next to "HTML Editor" .
You know that for using these elements wo have to map them with Data Schema.
Step by step
1. In data Model Under Data Schema Add a child and name it Read_More.
2. In the left hand corner ,click on tab Type and from the drop down select "rid"
3.Click on the "Browser" from the toolbar (as told earlier) and drag and drop it on the form.
4. Drag the Data schema which u have made(Read_more) and drop it on the browser on form. On right hand side u will se the mapping done.
5.Click on the "Browser" which is there in the form and on the right hand side of the form u will see the property window.
6.In property window change the value of action property to "Item Entry point"
7. Repeat step 3 and 4 in Render and show form but using "label" nad not browser.
Do not forget to add Save button in Edit Form.
This will solve your problem.

How can I create an accessible PDF using Pages?

I am interested in being able to use Pages (and actually also Keynote) to produce accessible PDF documents, ideally following the PDF/UA standard.
Government agencies require that electronic is created and shared in an accessible fashion.
I know it is possible to create accessible PDF (or well-tagged PDF) in Microsoft Word - but only on Windows unfortunately. I could also use OpenOffice, but to be honestly I find Pages is the more productive tool for me.
Any pointers as to whether and how to create accessible PDF from Pages would be more than welcome....

Hi there, I suppose I didn't make myself very clear. I am working for a regional organization for persons with disabilities and we create publications that are accessible to various kinds of disability, i.e. deaf, blind, etc. We convert ordinary reports to accessible text for the benefit of the blind. There are programs/apps that provide sound/voices that will 'read' the text. Acrobat PDF has such a feature called 'Readable PDF', which if composed properly via tagging, etc, will be converted and saved as 'readable PDF'. You can do this using In-Design. But I am also looking at the possibilities for Pages (I like this program a lot because it's easy) but I am not sure if there are tagging features here that will allow be to prepare the report as a 'Readable PDF' file. There is nothing simple with iOS due to the restrictions imposed by Apple. Your best option would be to create a proper eBook or self-contained app using InDesign or Flash and export it specifically with the app packager for iOS. Anything else will be a matter of "maybe, maybe not".

How can you create a swatch from a jpeg in Illustrator CS4?

I am trying to create a jpeg image into a swatch in Illustrator CS4. In previous versions you could simply drag the image into the swatches toolbar and it would convert it automatically. Now when I do that nothing happens. When I click on new swatch it creates a colour swatch instead of the actual image itself.

When you say you would drag the image itself into the Swatch Palette and it would show the image itself? How would then use this swatch? Can you give an example of what you would apply a jpeg to as a swatch? The only palette that I can think of off the top of my head that you can drag a jpeg into and have the icon appear as the jpeg is the Symbols Palette. Is is possible that you were using the Symbols Palette in the past and not the Swatch Palette?
