How can an user update "Decision Table" in BRM?
Dear Friends,
I have some query related to BRM and I am using it for the first time. So my query could be very simple but kindly reply friends.
Lets say, I would create a set of decision tables in BRM....but the values in the decision table are to be maintained by the user...so how would the user maintain these values in the decision table? I know about only these 3 methods....
i) changing the values directly in rules composer
ii) upload an excel file and get the values updated in runtime
iii) use http link '\rulesmanager' to update the values
But none of these methods would be suitable for the user to update those values right. I mean, How can we give the admin privilege to the user so that he can modify using rulesmanager!
So these are my two basic queries:
1) Can we update the values in the decision table from a WebDynpro GUI? OR
2) Can we automatically generate a WebDynpro GUI by giving Decision table as input and the GUI as output? We can give this GUI to the user for value maintenance.
If (1) is possible, we need to do lot of work in creating different Webdynpro GUIs for maintaining the values. So what I would prefer is (2).
Could anyone please let me know how can I do (2)? If (2) is not possible, then please tell me how to proceed with (1)?

Thanks for your quick reply. As you said, rules manager is the best way to let the user interact with the rules (we just need to maintain the privileges).
But consider this scenario in BRM. If the data that we need to maintain in the BRM decision tables are system generated then how is it possible to maintain the data? Is there any way to access and update the decision tables from the WD GUI?
Let me give you another scenario. If we need to create a rule to get a property of a particular product and if there are so many products (say 25,000 - 50,000) then should we maintain these many records in the decision table? It would be difficult to maintain this rule right. Is there a better way to do this? Or is it that the oracle DB is a better way to handle these kind of scenarios?

The point is that, I want the user to fill the form inside the Test view and click submit, and when the submit is clicked, I want a new entry in the new table to be created. But first of course I need to create the table. Should I create it using SQL query
through MySQL workbench? If yes, then how can I connect the new table with my code? I guess I need some DB context but don't know how to do it. If someone can post some code example, I would be glad.

How can I write into a table cell (row, column are given) in a database using LabVIEW Database Toolkit? I am using Ms Access. Suppose I have three columns in a table, I write 1st row of 1st column, then 1st row of 3rd column. The problem I am having is after writing the 1st row 1st column, the reference goes to second row and if I write into 3rd column, it goes to 2nd row 3rd column. Any suggestion?

Go to Solution.When you do a SQL INSERT command, you create a new row. If you want to change an existing row, you have to use the UPDATE command (i.e. UPDATE tablename SET column = value WHERE some_column=some_value). The some_column could be the unique ID of each row, a date/time, etc.
I have no idea what function to use in the toolkit to execute a SQL command since I don't use the toolkit. I also don't understand why you just don't do a single INSERT. It would be much faster. -

I've added a hyperlink column to my table, it is used to display the current record details in a new page.
I have defined in my SessionBean a getRowkey/setRowkey methods.
When the user click on a "View" hiperlink the following code is executed:

Hi Experts,
Pleae tell me or give sample code, how to create dynamic nested internal table ?
I have seen threads saying creation of dynamic internal tables using some table structure only. But now the requirement is to create dynamic nested internal table.
For example the internal table contains two fields viz., one is field1 of dynamic internal table and other is normal field2 and values as shown below:
Nested internal table:
field1 | field2 ...
<table content1> | value2..
<table content1> | value2..
Here the [table content] should also a dynamic internal table.

i have apps to be updated but when i try to update them a message pops out saying "You have updates for other accounts, please sigh in with the other id". Can some one help me how can i still update the same with the new apple id ive created. As i dont have the access to the earlier id anymore.
You cannot. The apps are assigned to that Apple ID and there is nothing you can do to change that. You could choose to download them again with the new Apple ID, any paid apps will need to be purchased again.

If you mean from the Updates tab in the App Store app then you can't - any updates that you've downloaded will disappear off that last in 30 days. If you don't want to install an app update then as far as I know they can't be removed from the Updates tab.
If you want to got back to a previous version of an app then do you have a copy of that previous version anywhere ? If you do then you can delete the app from your iPad (which will also delete its content) and sync back the previous version.
If you mean an iOS update that you've installed then you can't, downgrading the iOS version isn't supported by Apple. -

I bought Pages ages ago using an iTunes account that no longer works as the email address has been closed down. How can I now update my Pages app, if it asks me to sign in using this now defunct email address?
All apps are always tied to the account from whaich they were purchased and will always have to be updated using that account.
Just because the e-mail account is shut down, has nothing to do with the itunes account. Why did you create a new account? Why not just change the e-mail associated with the old account? -

If we creating a screen using the table having four fields(for e.g.). The screen has the functions of display, modify, delete, save, exit etc for the fields. The front-end of the screen having I/O fields of the table using internal table. How can we declare the internal table in the screen?

Create one WA for your Internal table and then map it to your fields.
For Example,
Data : begin of wa,
name(10),
age type i,
end of wa.
data : it like table of wa with header line.
Then in screen create input fields with the name, age and ***.
Then the user entered values are stored in name age and ***.
then you can manipulate with that values using wa.
