How can I filter the rows displayed on an ADF Table ? pls help urgent..
Hi All,
I have a page with ADF readonly table, based on who is logging in I want to filter the rows to be displayed when the page is firstly loaded. This page is called from the main menu.
I have created a custom method in the Application Module Impl :
public void setInvoiceFilter () {
ViewObject vo = findViewObject("BrowseInvoice1");
ViewCriteria vc = vo.createViewCriteria();
ViewCriteriaRow vcr1 = vc.createViewCriteriaRow();
vcr1.setAttribute("Userid","xxxx");
vc.add(vcr1);
vo.applyViewCriteria(vc);
vo.executeQuery();
The question is : where and how should I call this method ?
is this a correct approach ?
Thank you very much for your help,
xtanto
I assume you're talking about a JSF application.
I think you should be able to do this in the constructor of a backing bean.
1) Add an operation binding, bound to your service method, to the page's pageDefinition.
2) On the JSF page flow Overview tab, add a managed property to the backing bean. Call it, say, myMethod, give it type oracle.bindings.OperationBinding, and give it the value #{bindings.nameOfYourOperationBinding}
3) Add a myMethod field of type OperationBinding, with getter and setter, to your backing bean class.
4) In the backing bean class's constructor, add code like:
myMethod.execute();This will execute the method every time the page is loaded.
Now, if you want to execute the method only the first time the page is loaded, it's a bit trickier. You need to set, and use, a session variable:
Map sessionVars = FacesContext.getCurrentInstance().getExternalContext().getSessionMap();
if (sessionVars.get("hereBefore") == null)
myMethod.execute();
sessionVars.put("hereBefore", "true");
}

How can I use the find button in Edit ADF Table in JDeveloper 10.1.3
Hi all,
in JDeveloper 10.1.3
How can I make the find button work in
the same Edit ADF Table without adding new view ?
thanksHi there,
it depends on what you mean by adding a new view object. You[b] don't have to create a new viewobject. You do have to add a second instance of your existing view object to your page.
Form scratch works more or less like this. Drop your view object as ADF table on the form. Add the find and execute operations. Drop the same view object on your form but now as ADF search form. Place the fields form the search form in the corresponding columns next to the existing fields. For each #{row} field ,and the find button, set the rendered property
#{bindings.testUserIterator.findMode ==false}. For each inputfield, and the execute, set the rendered property #{bindings.testUserIterator.findMode ==true}.
Now it will work.
I hope this is what you are looking for.
Good luck

How Can I have the MB display (1280X800) and a 1440 x 900 ext not in miror
How Can I have the MB display (1280X800) and a 1440 x 900 ext not in miror mode ???
I have a Lenovo external display :
H19-inch (483-mm) viewable image size
Optimum resolution: 1440 x 900
Tilt stand for viewing comfort adjustments
16 x 10 aspect ratio
Analog attachmentI just bought a wide screen display that also uses 1440 X900 resolution. In mirror mode mine also only allows a maximum of 1280 X ???. I think may be a limitation of the GMA 950 graphics chip set. I never use it in mirrow mode so it doesn't bother me. I prefer extended mode. That way I can keep more windows open and visible.
I use the question mars because on mine I can use 1280 X any of the resolutions that go with it. -

Your problem isn't the archive table! I tried to remove the 2 selects from the select-clause. Furthermore you have a lot of nested loops in your explain, which is a performance-killer. Try getting rid of them, perhaps use /*+ USE_HASH(?,?) */.

hey i have a iphone 4s 64gb but and using the internet share .. how can i change the nat type from strict to open please help me
You will have to configure that with your router. Type your router's IP address in the search/domain bar and allow port forwarding.
What is requiring you to have an open NAT? That issue is usually for gaming consoles, etc. -

How can I filter the LOV rows at the runtime
I am working in oracle forms 6i.
My lov is based on a view. If I selected one row from LOV, that row should not appear in list box.
I would like to restrict rows before saving a form. How can i filer the LOV rows at the runtime?
Please help me.Dear Mr.MH_BD,
Thanks for your immediate response,
My form is built based on master and detail link. On the multi row detail section I am invoking this LOV. The record group containing the following query:
select fees_id,fees_name,term_fees from sk_fees_mst where fees_bal>0;
fees_id
fees_name
term_fees
12
Tuition Fees
2500
13
Smart Class
100
14
Admin Fees
300
If I selected the fees_id 13 for the first row of detail section, then the LOV should display only the following in the next row:
fees_id
fees_name
term_fees
12
Tuition Fees
2500
14
Admin Fees
300
(ie.) Before commit form I need to filter the already selected fees ids from record group.
Thanks in advance. -
How can I change the Video Display Mode when the Monitor displays UNSUPPORTED MODE?
While setting up my new monitor, I changed the computer Video Display mode to 120 Hz by accident. Now I can't see a thing on the monitor other than the words UNSUPPORTED MODE.
My system is a newer HP Pavilion p7-1423W running Windows 8.1 with Intel i5-2320 3ghz
I have tried the Startup mode by tapping ESC on powerup but the startup options don't help. And the F11 option on the menu just makes the Startup screen disapear and returns the monitor to UNSUPPORTED MODE. Tapping F8 doen't work and tapping F12 just puts me into the bios menus which don't help.
How can I put the integrated Video Card back to a supported video mode when I can't see the screen?
This question was solved.
View Solution.Try the shift key + F8. If you can get in- doing a System Restore to a day before you messed up the setting should work without a need for Safe Mode.

How can I get the row number of display automatically on a table?
I have a table of measurements, and I would like the row number to be displayed on each row. The challenge is that each time I run the program, the total number of rows will be different, so I would like the numbers to update every time I run the program based on the current number of rows.
I have attached a picture to illustrate what I am trying to do.

How can I select the row after a cfgrid refresh?
I have a form that is bound to a cfgrid. The grid is populated from a database. When you navigate in the grid the data displayed in the form changes to match the selected row. I can edit the data in the form and update the database. After updating the data I refresh the cfgrid, which then displays the updated data.
Unfortunately the cfgrid always highlights the first row, row 0, after a refresh. I want to highlight the same row that was highlighted when the data was edited and saved. Can anyone advise as to how I can do that?
I have tried setting a listener when the grid is initiated that responds whenever the store is refreshed and triggers the function refreshSelection():
g.getStore().on('load', refreshSelection) ;
Before the form data is saved, the row number is stored in selectedRow[0]. When the grid is refreshed, refreshSelection is run:
function refreshSelection() {
if (0 >= selectedRecords.length)
return;
alert('Selected row is Row ' + selectedRecords[0] ) ;
g.getSelectionModel().selectRow(selectedRecords[0]) ;
selectedRecords[0] = 0 ;
The alert shows the correct row number each time, but highlighting the last row viewed works intermittently, and only if the alert line is active. If I comment out the alert, this fails every time, with row 0 being highlighted. selectedRecords[0] is reset to 0 after the attempt to select the row so that navigation through the grid, such as choosing "Next Page," will properly highlight the first row of the page rather than the last row number that was edited.
