How can I get my panel to appear faster?

Hi all,
I have a GUI that displays a panel when the user clicks a button on another panel. The new panel displays very slowly and almost in parts. It contains three sub-panels that are tabbed and I wonder if that is causing it to load so sluggishly. I have put ProcessDrawEvent commands all over the place to try to get it to draw faster but with no real luck. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Is there a reasonable motivation for such a complicated structure? Wouldn't it be simpler if the tab control is placed directly on the panel and shown / hidden / disabled itself? I'm pretty sure you know that you can also show / hide / disable individual tabs.
In any case, in all situations in which I observed a panel shown in steps it depended on the application having in the meanwhile other threads / timers to communicate with external devices: the amount of time taken to serve these additional tasks were limiting GUI responsiveness.
So I'm asking again: is the application executing some separate task(s) while you are displaying the panel? How much time these tasks take to execute? Could you suspend them for a while during DisplayPanel?

As Don already pointed out, exactly what the recipient sees will depend on how they've set up their machine and what unnecessary 3rd party apps they might've installed to display attachments the way they want.
In theory, that is true. In practice, Attachment Tamer will cause more of your messages to show up as plain-jane icons on the other end. The problem is, after all, people running Outlook 2003 and 2007. These people likely aren't doing many system modifications.
If I were you, I'd use the free solutions provided above, save my money and let my recipients decide how they will handle their mail.

Oh nice, there's a PassKeeper application for the iPhone and iPad. Simply install it and it should talk you through steps, otherwise their website is probably a great place to check.

How can I get applications to download faster? Its taking hours for them to download. For instant, I downloaded an application this morning around like 9:00 a.m and it still hasn't completely downloaded and its 9:00 p.m.

How can I get still photos to appear in menu templates?

I can't get photos to appear in the menu templates in Premiere Elements 11, whether I drag them in or Browse them out. I tried two different templates, and 5 different photo file formats. From what I'm reading online, this is a known bug that has been around since v. 9. How is that possible that a major element of a top-of-the-line video editor doesn't even work? Is there a bug fix or a workaround?

Thank you for your kind response. Now that I’ve calmed down some, I’m willing to keep trying, to a point at least. I’ll try responding to your questions.
I failed to mention that I did update to 12.1 before my last failure. And I still had the problem. So far, I have only deleted the Prefs file and not the entire folder, mostly because the program went into permanent crash mode and I couldn’t even get it to run, let alone try editing my project. That’s when I reinstalled it.
The project is simply a PowerPoint presentation with a soundtrack, which I exported from PowerPoint as an mp4 file. It’s only 7:30 minutes long. So it’s a very tiny file. There is only one menu page and no scene menus.
Yes, I have successfully burned it to disk, once with the gray rectangle on the menu (to confirm whether it would show as a gray rectangle on the TV screen, which it did), and once with the picture on the menu, the one time I succeeded in getting the picture to appear in the menu.
I have tried the picture in multiple image formats, but the one I mainly try is a .bmp that PE generated using the snapshot tool, or whatever it’s called in PE. I figured if PE won’t even load images it created, the Adobe programmers need to start back with square one.

Not all of my albums for a particular artist appear in the artist list. How can I correct this?

Each audio or video file in iTunes has several settings and tags that can be easily modified. These options can be accessed by selecting any file in the iTunes browser windows and selecting "Get Info" from the File menu. You can add song lyrics, artwork and set special playback options. The "Info" tab lets you edit information about the file including artist and album info.

The dashes aren't necessary for the actual call so the Blackberry doesn't waste space (memory) holding the character.

The Airplay icon only appears if there's an Airplay enabled device that the iPhone or iPad can find in the same network, or connected via bluetooth.

yesterday I updated logic pro, I have just discovered that my IK Multimedia ARC system has disappeared from the plug in drop down window, can anyone advise how I can get it back. It seems that old logic files where it was previously loaded still have the plug in live, but on a new project file it simply isn't there to select and activate.

Not sure about your issue. What did you update from and to? Is ARC still in the plugins/components folder?
I'm an ARC user too. I have it plugged in to Audio Hijack Pro which is set to hijack audio from Logic. This way ARC is after logic and you don't have to remember to bypass the plugin before you bounce.

How can I get a folder to appear in the Folder list when I am trying to import pictures?

There is a folder on my hard drive that does not appear in the list of folders in the import dialog. I have tried expanding all the other folders around it (my photos are filed by date of capture) to see if it was somehow imported as a subfolder. It is simply not there. I can find and open it and access all the pictures in Photoshop Elements but not in Lightroom 4. Any ideas?

I would try this:
In Lr import one photo into a different folder that you can see in the list.
Then in your OS (mac Finder / Win Explorer) move the photo to the folder that you cannot see.
In Lr the photo will now appear with a question mark on its frame. Click directly on the question mark and select <Locate photo>. Navigate to the folder, open it, and click on the photo.
Maybe this will help Lr to recognize the folder.
If this doesn't help try renaming the folder in your OS.
