i've already downloaded it, added all the stuff required, but i still can't get it. my icon doesn't work. is there another way to get to the program?

but it won't have any of the newer codecs and features of the later versions of QuickTime. It will be far better for you to get your XP upgraded to SP2. There are a multitude of bug and security fixes, so it's highly, highly recommended for all XP users.

Except for the use of capitalized extensions (which I don't think should cause a problem), the videos themselves look standard and should be playable on any system using any compatible media or plug-in players that support standard MPEG-4 content and the MOV file container.

I bought quicktime pro 7 a couple of years ago and have a registration code. At the time I used the program to make some time lapse movies. I'd like to make a couple of time lapse movies again but quicktime pro 7 is no where to be found. This probably ha something to do with updating the os between then and now. The question is how can I get quicktime pro 7 running again? The unlocking instructions I have for quicktime pro 7 that I received with the key do not correspond with what the system preferences now show. Any assistance would be appreciated. I am currently running OS X version 10.9.5 on an older iMac.

I finally got the quicktime to download and I also downloaded itunes but it won't work right. When I click on the icon to pull it up so that it will recogize my ipod it tells me it has a error for me to check with microsoft. I had a shuffle at one time that worked and when you plug your unit in it should take you to your playlist and things put it doesn't do that it just tells me I have a error.

In Macintosh HD/Library/Quicktime/ delete any files relating to DivX (Perian already has them), particularly any DivX extension to Safari. How can I get Quicktime videos to play fully screen?

I recently downloaded Quicktime Pro to my windows computer in order to be able to play Quicktime movies in full screen, but they still only play in the small video pane. Everything seems to be properly installed using the key I received, and my programs now indicate that I do have Quicktime Pro installed. Why doesn't it play in full screen?

Do you have QuickTime associated with that file type?
You set them using the QuickTime System Preference / Advanced tab MIME Settings button.

MOV is a container, not a codec. so if it uses a codec that iMovie can read, then it should work.
.m4v should work. Codecs that work include h.264, DV, HDV, Apple Intermediate Codec, Apple Animation Codec, Motion JPEG/A and a few others.
Some.commercial .m4v's may have copy protection that would prevent iMovie from opening it.
Also, if any of these movies have extra tracks beyond the audio and video tracks, they will not work. This would include Chapter Tracks, Tween Tracks, Closed Captioning Tracks, and the like. These extra tracks could possibly be removed in QuickTime Pro.
.3gp would never work without converting it to something else.

Firefox, I would make sure you update your Desktop to Firefox 14.0.1, as the version you are running is quite old and out of date.
Then, do you have your Sync Recovery key, username and password? If you do, you can re-add Firefox Sync to your computer.
