How can I get the locale of a country?

There is a way to get the a locale from an ISO 3 chars country code (Country examples: USD, CRC, MXN) or from an ISO 3 digits country code (840, 180)?
Thanks

If you know the ISO-639 language code you can instantiate a java.util.Locale.

  • How can I get the local computer's ID and IP address in Labview?

    I want to get the local computer's ID and IP address, but i found i can't do it in labview.
    Could anybody do me a favor to give me some guidance?
    Thank very much!

    Under the Communication palette, under TCP, there are two functions you need to get this info':  'String to IP' and 'IP to String.'
    1.  Drop the String to IP function on the diagram.
    2.  Do not wire any input to it.
    3.  Take its Output and wire it to the 'net address' input of the 'IP to String'
    5.  Display the Output of the 'IP to String'
    Depenging on the True/False input to the 'IP to String' function, you get the machine name versus IP address.
    See attachemnt... guess it's easier than explaining
    Hope this helps.

  • How can i get the local path to my cached app in jws

    Hi,
    sorry, i think it is a stupid question of me. but i'm a newbie in java and jws...
    So my question is...
    is it possible to get the absolute path to my downloaded an d cached jarfile? (e.g. c:\program files\java web start\.javaws\cache\http\Dmy.server.com\P80\RMmyapp.jar)
    thanks a lot for any help.

    I just answered this elsewhere, but here it is again.
    This code seems to work. I found it last year in one of the forums.
    I use it to find resources in Jars or to find images when I am in an IDE
    The "SetIcon.class" below should be changed to the class you are running from.
    Note: If you are running a class in a package, this returns the root of your application instead of the "folder" containing your package. This would mean that the "images" folder I refer to below is under the root folder, not the package folder.
    javax.swing.ImageIcon img;
    URL imgPath1;
    String imgPath2;
    imgPath1 = SetIcon.class.getProtectionDomain().getCodeSource().getLocation();
    imgPath2 = imgPath1.toString();
    imgPath2 = imgPath2.substring(6); // strip off the "file:"
    imgPath2 = imgPath2 + "images/sample.gif";
    Hope this helps,

    You don't. Delete 'stuff' you don't need or buy a phone with more storage. you can not increase or upgrade the internal storage in the iPhone.

  • I would like to read a text file in which the decimal numbers are using dots instead of commas. Is there a way of converting this in labVIEW, or how can I get the program to enterpret the figures in the correct way?

    The program doest enterpret my figures from the text file in the correct way since the numbers contain dots instead of commas. Is there a way to fix this in labVIEW, or do I have to change the files before reading them in the program? Thanks beforehend!

    You must go in the labview option menu, you can select 'use the local
    separator' in the front side submenu (LV6i).
    If you use the "From Exponential/Fract/Eng" vi, you are able to select this
    opton (with a boolean) without changing the labview parameters.

  • How can I get the variable with the value from Thread Run method?

    We want to access a variable from the run method of a Thread externally in a class or in a method. Even though I make the variable as public /public static, I could get the value till the end of the run method only. After that scope of the variable gets lost resulting to null value in the called method/class..
    How can I get the variable with the value?
    This is sample code:
    public class SampleSynchronisation
         public static void main(String df[])
    sampleThread sathr= new sampleThread();
    sathr.start();
    System.out.println("This is the value from the run method "+sathr.x);
    // I should get Inside the run method::: But I get only Inside
    class sampleThread extends Thread
         public String x="Inside";
         public void run()
              x+="the run method";
    NB: if i write the variable in to a file I am able to read it from external method. This I dont want to do

    We want to access a variable from the run method of a
    Thread externally in a class or in a method. I presume you mean a member variable of the thread class and not a local variable inside the run() method.
    Even
    though I make the variable as public /public static, I
    could get the value till the end of the run method
    only. After that scope of the variable gets lost
    resulting to null value in the called method/class..
    I find it easier to implement the Runnable interface rather than extending a thread. This allows your class to extend another class (ie if you extend thread you can't extend something else, but if you implement Runnable you have the ability to inherit from something). Here's how I would write it:
    public class SampleSynchronisation
      public static void main(String[] args)
        SampleSynchronisation app = new SampleSynchronisation();
      public SampleSynchronisation()
        MyRunnable runner = new MyRunnable();
        new Thread(runner).start();
        // yield this thread so other thread gets a chance to start
        Thread.yield();
        System.out.println("runner's X = " + runner.getX());
      class MyRunnable implements Runnable
        String X = null;
        // this method called from the controlling thread
        public synchronized String getX()
          return X;
        public void run()
          System.out.println("Inside MyRunnable");
          X = "MyRunnable's data";
      } // end class MyRunnable
    } // end class SampleSynchronisation>
    public class SampleSynchronisation
    public static void main(String df[])
    sampleThread sathr= new sampleThread();
    sathr.start();
    System.out.println("This is the value from the run
    method "+sathr.x);
    // I should get Inside the run method::: But I get
    only Inside
    class sampleThread extends Thread
    public String x="Inside";
    public void run()
    x+="the run method";
    NB: if i write the variable in to a file I am able to
    read it from external method. This I dont want to do

    Hi,
    You can use SimpleDateFormat class under java.text package.
    SimpleDateFormat formatter = new SimpleDateFormat("dd-MMM-yy h:mm a z", new Locale());
    //formatter.setTimeZone(timezone);
    String dateTime = formatter.format(new Date());

  • When you expand to show local and remote sites, in DW CS6 how do I get the local to be on the left?

    When you expand to show local and remote sites, in the previous verions of DW, the files type (local or remote) selected when not seeing both, automatically came up on the left.  I liked local when I am editing and when I am ready to upload I expand to see both local in remote.  Before, the one you had selected, in my case local, was always displayed on the left.  Now in CS6 when I have local selected before I expand, the local is on the right and remote on the left. For me that is not correct.  I find that having local on the left works best for me like reading, left to right, I want the local on the LEFT so I can put the updated from left to the remote on the right.
    -->In DW CS6 how do I get the local to be on the left?

    Thank you so much!  That did it!

  • How can I get the language of the user logged on using only DI API?

    Hello,
    how can I get the language of the user logged on using only DI API,
    without invoking the UI?
    Can I read the value from some table using sql?
    I could write to file the first user's connection to the language code in SAP and then use it from external program, but I do not like this solution ...
    I know only this possibility:
            '_SboCy ==> SAPbobsCOM.Company
            '_SboCys ==> SAPbobsCOM.CompanyService
            '_SboApp ==> SAPbouiCOM.Application
            CodLng Dim As String = ""
            Dim lng As SAPbobsCOM.UserLanguages _SboCy.GetBusinessObject = (BoObjectTypes.oUserLanguages)
            If lng.GetByKey (_SboApp.Language) Then
                codLng = lng.LanguageShortName
                'Etc. ..
            End If
            lng = Nothing
    Thanks

    Hi Enrico,
    The language settings are held on the user's Windows profile and not in the database. In SBO 2007A onwards there is an XML file that is created by the SBO client (previous versions stored the information in the registry). The file is called b1-current-user.xml and you'll find it in the temporary application data under the user's profile (by default this will be C:\Documents and Settings\<profile>\Local Settings\Application Data\SAP\SAP Business One for Windows XP). This XML file contains a node that looks like the following:
    <leaf kind="single" name="Language" type="String">
         <value>8</value>
    </leaf>
    where the value is the language id that should correspond to the same setting in the DI API. If your application will always run on a workstation where the SBO client is installed then you could read this XML file. Of course, this file may not exist for a particular Windows user if they have never opened the SBO client so you'd need to have a default setting.
    If you application will be installed on a workstation which doesn't have an SBO client installed on it then there is no way to tell what default language to use and you'll need to build this logic in to your own application (eg have a screen where the user can choose their preferred langauge and then store this as a config file in a similar way to how the SBO client works).
    Kind Regards,
    Owen

    Hi Michael-
    I do not have any problem with using shift registers in timed loops.  What version of LabVIEW are you using?  Can you please elaborate on why neither shift registers or local variables meet your needs?  I have attached a VI that saves a previous iteration and then computes and displays the difference.  Let me know if you have problems running it.
