Actually I'm working on a project of automation framework. For this I want to link the "Record" button and "Menu bar"(at the top of the IDE).
I'm using Eclipse on Win7 Ultimate(x64).
Please provide the required links or documentations.

I have a custom java application that I would like to integrate with a report tool. I am reviewing Oracle Reports but I was not sure how I would integrate an Oracle Report.
I have read that I can use Active-X but. Has anyone ever done this? Also - is there any support for a java bean?
I am also wondering how I could pass in report parameters.
It is my understanding that Oracle will generate either pdf or html output which could be viewed through the browser or adobe acrobat reader.
Is this correct?

I create a URL that calls Oracle Reports Server running under IAS, using PDF or html as the output. The Java code calls up the commandline and starts the default browser with the specified URL, which then talks to Oracle Reports Server... and voila... the report shows up in your browser!

How can I execute a .bat file from inside a java application

I have a .bat file which contains an executable file(.exe) and some input and output file names. What commands can I use to execute this bat file from my java application.

After raeding tkleisas' reply; i am trying to invoke another application (which can be invoked from the command line) by using a batch file and trying Runtime.exec for executing a batch file.
My current code is:
Runtime runtime = Runtime.getRuntime();
Process trialProcess;
trialProcess = runtime.exec("cmd.exe /C start C:\\guns.bat /B");
And my guns.bat looks like:
cd C:\CALPUFF
echo trial
start calpuff.exe CALPUFF.INP
This is not working for me and i get the following in the error stream of the trialProcess:
Error :
The system cannot execute the specified program.
Process finished with exit code 1
Has anyone come across something like this and know what's wrong with this one??

Hi Everyone,
I am currently working on an application that will have the ability to start a program within Windows. What I intend on having is a button within my GUI that can start Microsoft Word. I am completely lost as to where I should begin in order to make this work. If anybody has any pointers they will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

If I have a codetable in database that has new or modified values I have to refresh the codetable in my J2EE application.
Most effective way would be send a message to initiate a table reload from J2EE app, but I don't know how to do this.
