How can I pilote an .exe from an external application (VB)

Hi !
I've got a problem, I want to create a Labview Application (.exe) an to run some methodes of this application from Visual Basic. I think it's possible to create an exe and a dll, and then to create a data socket between the dll and the .exe, and finally use this dll from Visual Basic...
Hmm... i hope you understand what i mean... anyway i'm not sure that's the best way to do this.. if someone has another idea, i would really appreciate it...

I'm really sorry, but i still don't understand...
that's what i've done:
1) I created a program setValue.vi (which fill a array of clusters, each cluster contain a name and a corresponding value). The array is saved as a global variable.
2) I created a program getValue.vi which allow me to get one of this value (i give the name, and this program return me the corresponding value).
3) I created an exe (containing these two vi), i enabled the option server active x
I included the tlb in VB. But the only way of accessing the fonction getvalue from VB is to give the path of the corresponding vi...and this don't return me the correct value!
Do you have any example ?

design it first with one page
page will have layout and Event handlers
Design the layout with the fields
in the event handler there are events
in the event On Initiailization or ON inputprocessing write the select query similar to what we write in routine ABAp and fetch the data into ITAB and that has to be passed to the Layout

When creating BSP applications, note the browser dependencies described in Note 598860.
steps:
1) start the transaction RZ10.
2) now u u have to select Profile name, so select the INSTANCE Profile from the list of options given with the Profile parameter list.U may find multiple instance profile in the list, so select the profile in which ur server name is given.
3) u will also find three options in the same window.
Administrator data, Basic Maintenance, and Extended Maintenance. So select the last one from that.
4) Now click on change button.
5) here u will find parameter icm/host_name_full, so now set it as FQDN.
6) Now copy ur settings with new version number.
7) Activate that version.
8) And now please restart ur WAS.
So this will set ur FQDN, and also don't forget to login using Admin User.
Now u also check for following service are active in your ICF setting or not,( just start transaction code SICF)

Did you solve the problem? I have the same question! So please let me know if you found a solution.
I saw the answer which was given to you, but I doubt that the reboot command would work from an embedded application, because it asks for IP address and MAC, while it is on the machine where the project is running that I want to send the reboot command. Did you try it?

This is my very simple inventory. On previous program I could sort by those items that did not have any figure in the row across. Then I could print a report of open inventory. Such as 149 Lidded Vase has not sales amount in the four colums across, thus it is open inventory. How can I capture all those items in one report?

From inside my application that run on an Automation PC, under Windows O.S, I want to call Adobe Reader using a shell command to open up an PDF Document containing some informations.

How can I restore the data from a single application in icloud?

Here is my situation. My iPad2 is constantly crashing. Whenever I use an app it runs for about 30 seconds and then the screen blinks black and I go back to my my home screen. At first I erased all the data and settings and tried to restore my backup from icloud. When I did this, it started crashing again right away. Then I erased all the data and reset it to run as a new ipad. In doing this, I redownloaded all my apps and everything is working fine. However, I have about a years worth of data in NoteShelf (note taking app) that is on icloud but that I cannot access. How can I just restore the data from that one app?

Unfortunately you cannot selectively restore from a backup, it's either all or nothing.

How can i erase the OS from an external HD but retain some data?

I have an external HD, a lacie 640gb triple interface, connected to my macbook pro via firewire. i have installed the OS to it as well as some data. The disk only has one partition. How can i erase everything [the operating system, applications etc] but keep some of my data in the disk? Which is the best way to do it? Should i use drive genius, which i have, to create a new partition to the HD, move the data that i do not want to be erased to it and then format the other partition and then reunite the two partitions or is there a better way to do it?

No, as far as I know from this site, Drive Genius is your only hope. I have never used the product or that function though. Another member here says it works.
Your other choice would be to store the data on another drive temporarily. Erase, partition and transfer back.

How can I transfer iTunes backup from my external hard drive to a USB thumb drive via my MacBook Air?

I sold my MacBook Pro to downsize to a more managable MacBook Air. I backed up iTunes to my external HD before selling my Pro, but don't have room for my whole library to the Air until I upgrade the size of my SSD. I want to see if I can transfer just the iTunes library from my external HD to a thumb drive using my MacBook.
Also, is there a way to manage and edit my iTunes library on my external HD so I can at least download some of the library to my Air?

How can I get hidden files from an external device with terminal?

Here is my situation. I have an mp3 player that is a Sansa Clipp. This version has third party firmware installed that not only hides the music files but will not let me copy them at all when I do a straight copy. All I get are empty folders. I want to install the actual firmware but first I need to back up the entire contents of the device because essentially I need to wipe the malicious firmware and everything else off the disc in order to to this. This device came from the Bureau of Prisons and is sold to prisoners. It is basically locked to the hilt and the only way to unlock it officially is to send it to the third party that installed the firmware and pay them $25. I know that I should be able to use terminal to get the files off of this but so far a "cp" command has only given me the files that I get when I drag and drop. The music files seem to be hidden in a partition that I can't access. Let me know if anyone has any help they can give. I just need to back up the full contents of the device. I have instructions on how to wipe it and reinstall but backing up is crucial to this. Thanks for any help and please ask questions if I haven't made my problem clear enough.

I assume the Sansa Clipp is a usb connected device. The method works for a flash drive. There is a different method for a harddrive..
First, you need to find the name of the device. Mount the device.
/Applications/Utilities/Terminal.
# run the df command. type command then press return.

How can I stop my SSD from detecting my applications on my HDD?

I just installed a SSD as my primary drive, and removed my optical bay and moved my HDD to that slot. I installed Yosemite on my SSD and everything is working fine, except that the Mac App store detects the applications on my HDD and keeps opening them from my HDD instead of letting me install them to my SSD. Yes, my SSD is set-up as the boot disk. If it helps, I just want to use my SSD for applications and my HDD for storing files.

Disabling Spotlight causes it to be reindexed when you reboot to that OS (or kills searching in the other OS).
Eject the second HD. You can setup an automator action or Applescript to do this on login.
If you rarely need to use the second HD it is better to setup /etc/fstab to never mount the second HD on boot. You can still mount the disk manually via Disk Utility. Ask if you think this is something you want help to setup.

Mac OS X can't write to NTFS drives by default. Drag them to the internal drive first.
