How can I put my SystemConfiguration Folder back where it belongs?

After an unsuccesful, paid support session with Apple, via phone, I was left with the SystemConfiguration folder on my desktop.
I would like to put it back where it came from, but have no idea how to get it there.

You were instructed to drag the /System/Library/SystemConfiguration/ onto the Desktop to create a backup.
Then you were told to delete the 'System Configuration' Folder.
The files are recreated (automatically) when you reboot.
The 'SystemConfiguration' Folder on your Desktop is just a backup copy.

Lost my Itunes Library... how can I put the older one back on?

Okay well i started iTunes and it asked me to load my library ... so i just did one but it was an older one that had like only 100 songs... now i lost my really big one with over thousands of songs and playlist...i cant even connect my ipod because it will delete everything..
1- How can i get the older Itunes library back...
I didnt lose my music files and all but I just dont want to lost my playlist and all the PLAY counts and everything.

I store all my music in an external HD and when i dont have it hooked up iTunes displays everything with a question mark ... but thats normal ... so when i do connect the HD i have to go in my preferences and change the iTunes folder to my external HD. then everything is back...
But right now im so mad at this stupid iTunes because i lost all my plays!!!! its nice to see songs u played 50 times and others 30 and then you make playlsit called "TOP 50 rock" etc... now its all gone... anyway i can get this back?

How can I put my emix files back into mail.

I've trawled the forums and think I've tried all suggestions. My mail froze when collecting mail and on restart the messages were in the viewer window but when double clicked they came up with the message about them not been downloaded from the server. I then rebuilt the mailbox and all messages disappeared apart from one. The messages however, were in the correct folder as emix files, which can be read when double clicking on them. I've tried copying them into a new folder, I've tried putting the messages folder in a new folder xxxx.mbox and when I try to import it goes through the motions (quickly) and says it can be retrieved in import 5, which doesn't exist, and if I drag the xxxx.mbox folder into the mailboxes folder in my hom/librarymail it appears on the tree but doesn't show any contents, even when rebuilt. I have 10,000 messages in this mailbox. I have subsequently got a new MacBook Pro and even starting from scratch the problem remains - any help would be much appreciated. Thanks, Will

The problem is probably that the index is corrupt and you need to completely re-create it rather than rebuilding individual mailboxes. I have no idea what the situation really is now after having tinkered with the contents of ~/Library/Mail/, though, so the following procedure may or may not work.
Verify/repair the startup disk (not just permissions), as described here:
The Repair functions of Disk Utility: what's it all about?
After having fixed all filesystem issues, if any, and making sure that there’s enough space available on the startup disk (a few GB, plus the space needed to make a backup copy of the Mail folder), try this:
1. Quit Mail if it’s running.
2. In the Finder, go to ~/Library/Mail/. Make a backup copy of this folder, just in case something goes wrong -- e.g. by dragging it to the Desktop while holding the Option (Alt) key down.
3. Locate Envelope Index and move it to the Trash. If you see an Envelope Index-journal file there, delete it as well.
4. Open Mail. It will tell you that your mail needs to be “imported”. Click Continue and Mail will proceed to re-create Envelope Index -- Mail says it’s “importing”, but it just re-creates the index if the mailboxes are already in Mail 2.x format.
Note: For those not familiarized with the ~/ notation, it refers to the user’s home folder, i.e. ~/Library is the Library folder within the user’s home folder.

HT1848 My iTunes is transferring all of my purchases into my trash. How can I change the download folder back to the backup folder?

Firefox crashes for unknown reason lately, so I removed it and reinstalled it. How can I put my Favorites (bookmarks) back into the newly installed FireFox???

Firefox crashes a few times when I was on Facebook and with email, also watching dramas online. Most of the time due to Adobe Flash and I did submit crash report. Later it crashes for unknown reason while I have email and Facebook on different tabs -- when I was on the tab of email, it looks system hang and not responding. This happened to my laptop that uses Windows Vista as I noticed. I don't remember it ever happens to my desktop that uses Windows XP.
It's pretty annoying of such known crash, but before removing Firefox, I did try to update all add-ons or plugins and it looks like doesn't work out. After updating for couple times and it still crashed like that, I removed Firefox and reinstall it.

It is possible that there is a problem with the files sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.
Delete the sessionstore.js file and possible sessionstore-##.js files with a number and sessionstore.bak in the Firefox Profile Folder.

The one file you need is named "domain.sites" and is located in your Users/Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder.
If you recovered your home folder files it might be in tha folder. However, with Mt. Lion that folder is invisible. Here's how you might be able to open your websites in iWeb if you have restored your files from a backup (if you didn't restore your home account then ignore the following):
In Lion and Mountain Lion the Home/Library folder is now invisible. To make it permanently visible enter the following in the Terminal application window: chflags nohidden ~/Library and hit the Enter button - 10.7: Un-hide the User Library folder.
To open your domain file in Lion or Mountain Lion or to switch between multiple domain files Cyclosaurus has provided us with the following script that you can make into an Applescript application with Script Editor. Open Script Editor, copy and paste the script below into Script Editor's window and save as an application.

Just launch the application, find and select the domain file in your Home/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder that you want to open and it will open with iWeb. It modifies the iWeb preference file each time it's launched so one can switch between domain files.
WARNING: iWeb Switch Domain will overwrite an existing Domain.sites2 file if you select to create a new domain in the same folder. So rename your domain files once they've been created to something other than the default name.

How do I put the "downloads" folder back on the dock?

I accidentally clicked and dragged my "downloads" folder off of the dock today and it of course disappeared.
My question is how do I get it back? I went to my "downloads" folder on my HD and I dragged it back to the dock. But when I did that I got the paper icons but not the folder icon.

You're almost there! Just control click the icon in the dock and select Display as Folder. Then control click once more and select Fan, then one last time and select Sort by Date Added. You will then have the original behavior of the Downloads folder.

Yes using third party software. First connect the ipod to the PC and wet it to "Enable Disk usage" by rightclicking it in iTUnes, hitting options, then checking the box.

How to put the ratings filter back where it belongs?

The 1.0 version suddenly moved the ratings filter away from the rest of the filters on the left-hand library column, and stuck it with the horizontal file browser at the bottom of the screen. I've tried and tried to drag the filter back into the vertical column, but it doesn't want to budge.
The only problem is I hate the little scrolling thing at the bottom and always use Lightroom with it turned off.
Why they split half of the filters into the library control panel (file name, date, etc.), and tacked on the other half (rating and flags) into the bottom panel is beyond me.

Not "learning how...", just "learning too...". In other words, you can learn to like having it on all the time, and that was just one of three options I gave you.
As for "an option like most everything else", none of the panels in LR are tear-off and relocatable like those in PS.
I'm sorry you don't like this change. I hope I've explained why it's like it is. You don't have to agree with it but, if you are to use the program, you are going to have to choose one of the options I mentioned above.

and if I put the parenthesis hardcoded like this:
write:   /123 '(', t_bsid-pago1,')'.
when the variable are printed the parenthesis is write very separated from the amount.
I know that maybe I can use the CONDENSE or CONCATENATE statement but for that I need to create a variable type N, or STRING and if I do that I don't know how can I put the decimals points back.
