How can i run java application at system startup just liks as services

How we can run java application at the time of system
starts up just like as services.

Hi,
At first you have to create an exe of the class file.
for that go to the site www.duckware.com/java2exe.html
Click on the j2exe23c.exe(75k) download it and install in ur system. convert the class file to windows exe.
The put the exe in the startup folder in windows.
If ur not able to find that folder search for it and put that exe in that folder.

  • How to start a java application by double clicking just like windows gui?

    Hi,
I want to open the user-defined file in my java application. The way is like the notepad in windows:1.double click the file name 2.the file is opened in the java application 3.if this file has opened at the same time ,then the last opened will be read-only.
Could you tell me how to carry it out ? Thank you

!!! Please give me a help! i am thirsty for itSo, to get this straight, you have a Java application in a jar. For some reason, you do not execute this directly. Are you aware that you can execute a jar directly without the need to write a C++ exe to do it?
Anyway, for some reason, instead you have a C++ application which launches the JVM with your jar main class.
Well, you want to do two things. First of all, on Windows level, you need to associate the file type of your user file with your application. Note that they have to have a specific file extension that you choose. To associate the file type with an executable, you open a windows explorer, go to View, Folder Options, File Types and add an entry for your file type and specify it to open with your application. If you do not know how to do this, google for "windows associate file type with program executable" or something alike.
Now, if you double-click one of your user files, the associated exe will open, and it will receive the file name as a command line argument. In your C++ application, you will need to pass this argument, a file name, to the Java application where you launch it.

  • How do i run java application on IIS

    Hi,
Can I run java application on IIS(Internet information Server)?
If yes, How do i do that?
My java application contains JSP,Servlets and EJB.
To run java application on IIS which plug in should i use.
Can anybody help me This is urgent...........
    Thanx

You can try using Macromedia JRUN version 4. Any of the version will have an ISAPI filter which you can add to the IIS site of your JSP/Servlet.
The JRUN ISAPI filter will establish connection to the JRUN proxy listener on a port. This port is called proxy listener port. Basically once you install the ISAPI, it will have config file called jrun.ini
Check for the ProxyPort entry in jrun.ini (or something like this - sorry, I can't remember the exact entry). It should match to the proxy listener port where of the server where your JSP/Servlet is intalled.
    Good luck !

    Hi
Check this article on JGuru. It explains how to use Tomcat together with IIS.
    http://www.jguru.com/faq/view.jsp?EID=776546
If you also need to use EJB's you probably also want to have a JBoss installed - check www.jboss.org

Can i use EJB components in it?Yes, you can use EJB components. IIS uses Tomcat as a plugin and Tomcats feeds IIS with HTML code. Tomcat performes all the JAVA work including EJB. This links shows you how to install it:
    http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-3.3-doc/tomcat-iis-howto.html
Shoud be the same for version 4.1

  • How can i run Webdynpro application

How can i run Webdynpro application without using Developer Studio? Where should i put a whole project and how shoud i start it.
    Thanks!
    Maciek

    Hi Maciej
You wouldnt require a Developer Studio to run you
application. But you would require it to deploy (if are
using the JDI ,atleast to perform an Activation).
However you can launch the application once deployed
through the Web Dynpro Content Administrator
    http://<servername>:50000/webdynpro/welcome/
The deployed applications are present on the
lefthandside. They can be expanded to drill down to the
    Application and the press Run

  • How Can One Run Only In The System Administrator ( ie root ) ?

i have the Log In screen from a startup , either Safe Boot or a Boot , and i have my own specifc Apple Verified Account , plus the Other... ,
which the Other... of course is the System Administrator ( ie root ) .
How Can One Run Only In The System Administrator ( ie root ) ?
Is there a way in Terminal with sudo su to make it work ?
Shall i just always log in with Other... System Administrator ( ie root ) , and just forget the my own specific Apple Verified Account ?

As of EHP3, you could still install some EHP components. On an ERP 6.00, you could just push SAP_APP to 6.03 and move on. Now if you want another component in your system with an EHP4 version, you can't have some components at EHP3 and some at EHP4. You would install EHP4 for the new component you desire updated and part of the work will be to also update SAP_APP to 6.04.
EHP4 is an UPGRADE process, with shadow instance & all the joy of an upgrade process. You can either run ressource minimized or downtime minimized. In resource minimized, the shadow instance runs on the same server as the main instance. Downtime minimized allow to run the shadow instance on a separate / new server. Anyway you go, you will always have a "Downtime Phase" when you bring back the updated components from the shadow instance toward the real production one.
As with any UPGRADE project, the benefits of installing EHP4 for your business has to weighted against the downtime cost.
Our tests so far on small systems (few data, few users, 120GB database) show ~3 days process from EHP3 to EHP4 (all components) with a downtime phase of about 22 hours using the "resource minimized" path, i.e. shadow & main instance on the same server (4 CPUs, 16GB RAM). Until you give a try at your Sandbox or DEV systems, you won't have realistic figures for your environment.
    Good luck!

  • How can I run other application?

    Hello everyone!
I have few questions, for example I use this to run other application:
Runtime.getRuntime().exec("C\\Program Files\\Opera\\Opera.exe");1. It works, but how can I run Opera.exe, when I don't know where was install Opera?
    2. I want open URL, but I don't care what browser will be use. How do this?
    p.s.
I hope, you will understand my English =)

In Windows, to open a URL in the default browser you simply use the START command, like this:START http://www.canadiantire.ca/Try that at the command line. You can use Runtime.exec() to do this, as has been discussed in several hundred earlier posts in this forum.

  • How can I run another application from my Form

    Dear Gurus,
Can anybody tell how can I run a non oracle application from my Forms..
Can it be done thru DDE package..
    If yes then how..??
Can it be done like Excel calling thru DDE package???
    Thanks in Advance..
    Regards
    Swati..

Keep in mind that HOST will execute where the runtime is located. This means for Forms 6.x and older, if the application is running as client/server, HOST will correctly execute on the client. If your application (Forms 6.x and newer) is run via a web browser, HOST will execute on the server and not the client machine.
Without knowing exactly which Forms version you are using and where you want the call to be executed it will be difficult to offer suggestions.

  • How can i run Java class form  other java application.

    Hi ,
I have problem to run java class from my java application,
I am using the class ClassLoader in order to launched the Java class , its work fine whenever, the class exist in the same folder , however , when i am trying to run class that is not in the current folder ,
    i got error (see below),
Do you have any idea what is wrong?
    java.lang.ClassNotFoundException
         at SimpleClassLoader.loadClass(SimpleClassLoader.java:110)
         at SimpleClassLoader.loadClass(SimpleClassLoader.java:53)
         at Run.main(Run.java:31)

What does "run an class" mean? You don't run classes. They're not executables.
I bet your problem is the classpath. You are aware that the classloader looks only there? Unless it's an UrlClassLoader.

  • How can I run a application on a machine without JDK installed?

    Hi all,
I'm new to java,I want to know if there's a way to run a application on a machine without JDK installed, I noticed that some server application such as Domino have CORBA applications running in background, how can I set up such environment without JDK installed?
    Thanks.

I believe there are two basic ways you could go about this.
    1) Install the JRE (Java Runtime Environment) on the machine in question.
    2) Use JSP to make a server side app that interacts via browser on the local machine.

  • How can i convert java application of bibeans to java applet?

    Hi Bibeans PMTeam,
Bibeans provide two type client:java application and web client(JSP/Servlet),because web client's function is weaker than java app,so we want to convert java app to java applet, thus,we can embed java applet into web browser(our system framework is in web browser).
That is,we want one applet client that commution with a server side service(can by socket, just like oracle 9i form service)that provide the data that applet need,or the applet connect to olap server and bibeans catalog server by socket(this need security authentication if olap server, bibeans catalog, web server is not in one machine).
so we need you provide whole resolve scheme, thanks a lot,if this answer is not clarity, please connect:[email protected],thanks a lot!

    hi tomsong
well, in my experience 20mb are quite large for an applet. also take into account that you need a certain jvm that supports this type of application (my guess is that internet explorers native vm isnt an option)
i personally would tend to deliver the functionality via java webstart (look at the sunsite):so you can centrally manage the software, download it once and opertae an application on your client (i mean an APPLICATION and not an applet)
regarding 2: well but there is NO bibean service in ias: so you have to open the former mentioned jdbc connection to the olap service from your client
for the availability: you have to check with the pm team
in the meantime: what about the following approach: give power users a java application and lightweight or random users a handy html client ?
    regards,
    thomas
