I noticed that you have several blanks (white spaces) in the url. Please remove them and try again!
Link should be:
web.show_document('http://127.0.0.1:8889/reports/rwservlet?server=test report=c:\1.rdf&desformat=htmlcss&userid=scott/tiger@test &destype=cache','_blank');
This should work perfecly (if of course you have started the Reportsserver 'test'). Also try copy that link and paste it directly into your browser. If it works there, it should work in Forms!!!
You can check the environment of that Report with following link:
http://127.0.0.1:8889/reports/rwservlet/showenv?server=test
And what you can additional do is to check the Reports Que:
http://127.0.0.1:8889/reports/rwservlet/showjobs?server=test
The Reports Que is my number one to check for errors. You'll see a red circle/x after an unsessfull Report. Click on that icon for complete error message.

You can run the report from within a program unit, using following :
Run_Product(REPORTS, report_name, ASYNCHRONOUS, RUNTIME, FILESYSTEM, param_list, NULL);
Here, report_name contains report file's name (test.rdf in your case) its type is Varchar2.
param_list is of ParamList type, it contains the name-value pairs for parameters you want to pass to the report. You'll have to add parameters to this using addParameter() function. see the Help for addParameter().
this will run the report using Report Background Engine.

How can print a report from form 6i, when I press a button?
When i press a button from Form 6i, the report should print through printer.
I have done it by using report parameter DESTYPE Printer but problem is that when I press a button printer dialogue box appear and then I give command Print to printer, I don’t want to show Printer dialogue box.
I want when I press a button form Forms 6i , printer will print my report directly.
Please send me the solution of this problem.

If You are using Client server application then to passing to Add all Print Parameter in the Host Command.
Means Print command in unix to Host(lp.............) and Other Parameter to file name of the report to print.
If You not Use Client Server Application the Also Passing a Host Command in Button-Pressed Event and Run.

Unable to run report from forms developer.

hi....
i m not very much in developer 9i.from last 2 month i m doing developer 9i.I m desiging and running
report from report builder.but i m not able to run that report from forms developer.Can anyone help to solve my problem?is there any particular extension i have to follow or any configuration(Application server) i have to made change?What code i have to write to run a report from forms?

Actually what i did,i created a report and save that report with .rdf extension.I set reports_path(In Registry) property to the particular folder where i put all of my reports.In forms developer i add the report as report object from that folder.i set the following few lines in a button click event

How can i call report 9i using developer form 6i

hi all
I want to run report 9i using form6i.
for example i create report in report 9i that use java class.
i must run this report with form 6i.
I use RUN_PRODUCT built in.
if my report dont use java class i haven't any problem
but when i import java class in my report, in runtime
with form6i i find "Report contains uncompiled PL/SQl"
message.(there is not uncompiled pl/sql)
is there any way to solve this problem?or is it possible
to do this?

You need to use RUN_REPORT_OBJECT built-in instead of RUN_PRODUCT. Refer Integrating 9iAS Reports Services in 9iAS Forms services paper at http://otn-stage.us.oracle.com/products/forms/pdf/frm9isrw9i.pdf.

Ok, I was able to figure out the functions that were confusing me. For my own record and for those that do not know, I will list how to create the objects necessary to add a new report to a menu.
1-Write JSP (should be written just how Oracle writes theirs)
2-Creat function for the new JSP page as System Administrator responsibility
3-Use Sys Admin to add the function to a menu somewhere
4-Using AK Developer responsibility, create an attribute with the label of the attribute being the name of your function you created. Oracle's convention is the name of the attribute has FS in it.
5-Using AK Developer, lookup the ASF_FUNC_SEC_REG region
6-Drill down into that regions attributes
7-Add a your newly created attribute to this region

(note:here test is a folder which is in ORACLE_HOME\reports\j2ee\reports_ids\web and the path has been added in reports_path)
then what is wrong with this bcoz i am not getting report
as i run my report successfully with the following url

In former url i got server name by using
http://machine_host:port/reports/rwservlet/showenv
which shows "server rep " under the heading of

No test between reports and rwservlet. It is the context path of the reports servlet. (Since you have put test in
REPORTS_PATH, this should work

How can I run RT code in development mode on ni 9068?

This is my first time using NI 9068.
I set Disable RT Startup App in MAX and restart the RT, then click the RUN button on the vi. I saw the User FPGA 1 LED is flashing orange. I don't read any data the modules. I guess FPGA code not running.
Do I need re-deploy FPGA code when run in development mode?

I wanted to add in something for anyone that may find this thread via Google at a later date.
The orange STATUS LED blinks in specific patterns to provide information about your cRIO. This is the LED you can go to your manual to read about the behavior.
The USER FPGA 1 LED is something you can set in your FPGA code. The behavior of this is not something that you can look in the manual to understand. The behavior is determined by the programmer, not the hardware. While it was a heartbeat in this case, it could be something as simple as turning the LED on when the program starts and turning it off when the program stops for another program. The programmer could opt to leave it off entirely. These are all appropriate uses of the FPGA 1 LED. These could all also be programmed to represent an error. That would also be an appropriate use. Use this LED as you see fit to tell you what is taking place on your cRIO. But, do not look into the manual for guidance as to what the LED is telling you. For that information, you'll need to take a look at the code.

How can i run Java class form other java application.

I have problem to run java class from my java application,
I am using the class ClassLoader in order to launched the Java class , it�s work fine whenever, the class exist in the same folder , however , when i am trying to run class that is not in the current folder ,
i got error (see below),

What does "run an class" mean? You don't run classes. They're not executables.
I bet your problem is the classpath. You are aware that the classloader looks only there? Unless it's an UrlClassLoader.

How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?

Hi,
In Report builder 10g, I would like to create a Report with Form Line Style and this report included a Image field.
I can choose this Style only when Select Report type is Paper Layout. Because, If I choose Create both Web & Paper Layout or Create Web Layout only then in the next Style tab 03 option Form, Form letter and Mailing Label be Disabled.
But in Paper Layout, my report can not display Image field.
I tried with Web layout and all the other Styles (Except 03 mentioned be Disabled) then all Styles are displayed Imager field OK.
How to create a report in Form line Style and can display Image field?
I was change File Format property of my Image field from text to Image already in Property Inspector. But report only showed MM for my Image field.

Here you go..Just follow these steps blindly and you are done.
1) Create a year prompt with presentation variable as pv_year
2) Create a report say Mid report with year column selected 3 times
- Put a filter of pv_year presentation variable on first year column with a default value say @{pv_year}{2008}
- Rename the second time column say YEAR+1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)+1
- Rename the second time column say YEAR-1 and change the fx to CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)-1
Now when you will run Mid Report, this will give you a records with value as 2008 2009 2007
3) Create your main report with criteria as Year and Measure col
- Change the fx for year column as CAST(TIME_DIM."YEAR" AS INT)
- Now put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = greater than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report
Use values in Column = YEAR-1
- Again,put a filter on year column with Filter based on results of another request and select these:
Relationship = less than or equal to any
Saved Request = Browse Mid Report (incase it doesn't allow you to select then select any other request first and then select Mid Report)
Use values in Column = YEAR+1
This will select Year > = 2007 AND Year < = 2009. Hence the results will be for year 2007,2008,2009
This will 100% work...

How to call a report from form in developer suite 10g

i want to call report from a form that is developed in Builder 10g. Reprot is also built in Reports Builder 10g. I now want to run report through form.Please give me any solution.

I am finding that this document is unhelpful also with respect to running a form which calls the report in the testing environment of Oracle Developer Suite. I have Googled for forms integration with reporting and most refer to this document, but it does not help.
I have download and used the "run_report_object_doc" procedure they provided, along with a supporting function. And used that.
This document indicates that if the sever is not specified then it will use the in-process server. This does not happen. When I do not specify the server I get the notorious "FRM-41211: Integration error: SSL failure running another product." I suspected that the in-process server is not getting called.
When I look through the rwservlet.properties file I find that the servlet is configured with in=process "yes". I have since changed this file so that a server is actually named. I called it "local".
This time a local.conf file is created, not a rep_local.conf file as indicated in the documentation. Anyhow when I try the form again I get the same FRM-41211 message.
Alternatively, I have change the report invocation parameters to supply a server name "local". This time I no longer get the FRM-41211 message. I get the error FRM-41214: Unable to run report.
When I use the servlet to get information, I get (can anyone see any setting that is a problem?):

Well you have to install ORACLE developer runtime on your client side. then just copy your complied forms (fmx) files to your client machine and set it up to run.

How can I run the report for different input values at the same time?

Reports version: Report Builder 6.0.8.13.1
Oracle version: Oracle8i Enterprise Edition Release 8.1.7.0.0
I want to run the same report for different input parameter values and spool each o/p to different file and ftp to a server. For this, as a first step, I am spooling different input values in to a file, reading those values through a loop and calling the report for that input values. Each report run/execution is taking 15 minutes. Total report execution is taking approximately 4 hours (assuming 16 different input values) to complete. So I have to wait 4 hours to see ALL outputs.
I would like to run the report parallel for ALL the input values and I should be able to see the ALL outputs with in 15 or 16 minutes.
In my shell script, I added & symbol at the end of the report call to start/run the job in the background. Due to this the control passed to the next step after the report call. At this place I have an ftp command to send the output file to a different server and it is giving error some thing like o/p file is not available/created yet". This is due to the fact that report writer is NOT yet completely started/initiated or it is NOT completed the spooling.
How can I run the report at the same time for all the input values and save the time?

Increase the number of server engines running right now it seems there is only one engine running ,increase it to 4 or 6
and then atleast 4 or 6 reports will run simultaneously.
For FTPing the output add to your sript to check whether it is locked and if not then only try to ftp .
Also for more better functionality read the document (chapter 15 ) for 10g reports for its new fuinctionality.
