The methods to save a VI front panel image to a file don't work on executable applications. How can I save an EXE front panel image to a file? (LabVIEW 6.1)

i wrote some vi that save FP to image and created exe and it works fine. How do you save FP to image in VI?
If you use VI server method "Get Panel Image" and use "Write JPG file" ( or BPM) it works fine.

Hi,
I have attached here an example of doing the same using shift registers and local variables. Take a look. Shift register is always a better option than local variables.

How can I embed video on front panel ?

I need to embed the IMAQ vision window on the front panel(video acquistion).

The newest versions of LabVIEW (7.0) and IMAQ (2.6) give you an easy way to embed the image on your front panel. They have a image control that you can put on your front panel and wire your image to.
If you don't have LV 7, your only option for display is the WindDraw window (for fast display). This can be embedded on the front panel by using the "Make IMAQ Child.vi", which can be found on the Developer zone. It takes a little more work, but looks pretty good.

Save sub-vi's (possibly closed) front panel image to a file

Hello,
I would like to dump a file of a sub-vi's front panel when that sub-vi completes execution. I was thinking of using the "Front Panel:Get Image Method", however the target sub vi's front panel might not be opened. I am looking through the help file, and it says
"If you do not want to display the front panel but want the image to reflect value changes, create a Property Node from any front panel terminal on the block diagram of the VI for which you want to create a front panel image."
I'm not quite sure I understand what that means. Can anyone provide an example?
I am running LV 8.2 for the record.

What that means is to create a property node for something (anything) in your Sub-VI.
I have attached an example for you with a dummy property node. And the front panel of the Sub-VI gets updated on the Main-VI. Try removing the property node in the Sub-VI and you will notice that even though the values are correct in the main-vi, the image of the sub-vi doesn't get updated.

How can I hide the main front panel when I run from the executable?

Hopefully this is an easy question. I have an application where the front panel is not the main GUI and I would like to hide it when the program runs, but only when it runs from the executable. How can I do this?

How can I close a remote front panel by closing only the browser window?

I control a remote front panel in a browser (from the client PC). If I don't use the 'close' - button in my program to end the remote front panel, but instead of this the 'x' of the browser window (in the right bottom corner), my program won't be close, it continues on the server. Do you know how to end a VI by closing only the browser windows?

But I could not find a solution yet. Now I know how to end a VI by clicking on the x of the VIwindow.
My problem is, to end a VI by clicking on the x of the BROWSER window after I loaded and controlled a remote panel VI in a browser (e.g. IE).
If you have any ideas ... I'd be happy.

How can i edit graphs on front panel?

My problem is the following:
I need a front panel, where i can edit the graph. It doesn't need to be very complicatted. It means, there is 5 steps. For example: It will control a thermal chamber, and it should give 25 celsius for 2 hours, then cool down until 2 hours to -40 celsius, 4 hours on -40, then back to 25 celsius until 2 hours, stay there for 2 hours, up to 105 celsius until 2 hours, 4 hours on 105 , 2 hours down to room constant, stay 2 hours there. But i need to be control the levels. The temperature levels, and the time periods. It's nessesery to control this on front panel. I've found a vi , which is reading in *.lvm files with datas x,y and then it's interpolating. But it is not setable after setting.

If you want to specify the profile graphically then you can use cursors to do it. An old example can be found here. You may find others by doing your own search (hint, hint).
Otherwise, you can simply use a multicolumn listbox to specify the indvidual profile segments, and a graph can be used to display the entered profile whenever the listbox changes.

I need a vector smart logo that is on a PSD layer as a vector file in illustrator so I can plot cut on a vinyl cutter. How can I make sure the logo transfers as .ai at the exact size showen in the Photoshop document? I remember doiing this a few years ago but forgot the proceedure. It's probably a very easy step and once I have the answer I'll say "oh that's right I remember now" The export path to Ilustrator only gives me the saved paths in this document.

How can I save a Numbers spreadsheet as a tab delimited file?

Okay, I would like to save a Numbers spreadsheet as a tab delimited file. But of course I can't do that, since Numbers only saves as a comma separated values file.
Plan B: I can open up a CSV file created by Numbers in TextEdit, and I would like to Find and Replace all the commas with tabs. So I open up the Find window, enter a comma under Find, but of course when I put the cursor in the Replace blank and hit the Tab key, it just goes to the next blank instead of giving me a Tab.
Is there a way I can get a Tab into that blank so I can replace all the commas with tabs?

When we use TextEdit as I described, rows are separated by Returns.
It appears that your program requires LineFeeds.
Here is a neat soluce.
Save this script as an Application Bundle.

Is this possible, I'm an old user of Cubase, and before SMPTETrack (someone remembers?) so Midi files are for me an obvious think. Sorry, GB doesn't output any midi data, neither streaming nor as a file. You can open GB files in Logic and then export them as midi.

How Can I save and upload a Muse website as .htm files?

I have recently updated my website www.silverdogmusic.co.uk with Adobe Muse. The problem I have is that all my lovely SEO that I have built up over the last five years is pointing at .htm and there is no way to save a .htm file extention with Muse, only an option to save as .html, so I am currently paying a coder to change this for me every time I upload a new page or link, which not only defies the object of using Muse in the first place but is also costly and time consuming.
