How come sortable col in a report does NOT sort?
Instead it displays the "No Data Found Message".
Could it be that the Name that I use in Column Link too long? It's 28-char long, like "Pxx_abcdefghijklmnopqrstuvwxyzab".

In a different page (say Page#20), I also have reports, with sortable columns and PPR=Yes, within page. They work fine - no problem.
And in this page (say, Page#30), I have reports, with sortable columns and PPR=Yes, within the page. But the sort does not work (ie: upon clicking on the sortable columns, No Data Message shows up.) As I mentioned earlier, I noticed that there are very long column name + link column in the report.
Thus, could it be possible that
1) ApEx sort has the column names or/and link column character limitation? (However, by turning PPR on and off appears to prove that it has nothing to do with the length of column names.)
2) is there any limitation on the number of sortable columns in ONE single application?
Anyone can shed some light??

I hadn't restarted after disabling SearchMenu. Having restarted, it would appear that the problem was, in fact, SearchMenu. Which was my suspicion. Once Find highlights a "word" SearchMenu interrupts to offer its services. I guess I'll post on their board, to see if there's a solution.

How come #of songs on my Library does not match #of songs on my iPod?
I had to re-intall manually all of my songs from my iPod (Thank God I had them all!). Since via Senuti the songs did not import in order, I did it album by album; I took them out and put them on a folder. The thing is, on my iPod I have 4266 songs and on my library I have 4277!?!?!? The worst thing is that on my iPod it says I have 47 days of music, but on my Library just 13? How could this be? Can anyone help...

Report does not come up when called from Forms
I have installed Oracle 9i database and dveloper suit on my pc. When I run reports from forms, the report does not come up. I have Adobe Acrobat reader 6. The report does get created, I can see it in the cache directory.
It created an error file, I am posting the begining of this file here.

Looks like this is not a Forms side problem or even a Reports Servlet problem
Some guesses.

it looks like engine crashing. Did you see the server GUI up and running ? Server might not have started
Give
rwserver server=<server_name> in command line.
The server GUI should come up and show "ready "
You have multiple Oracle Homes on the same machine. So this could be a PATH problem.
1) Go to ControlPanel -> System - Advanced - Env variables - System Variables
Copy the IDS specific PATH to clipboard
Go to iDS_HOME\bin\ and open a command window. Set only the above PATH here. Start a standalone server
rwserver server=<server_name>
and try
(If this works you could write a batch file later)
2) For trouble shooting purposes use a different server name to start the standalone server.
3) Also look in your registry
HKLM\Software\Oracle\Home<x>\
Here please see whether you have any "very long" environment variable (say more than 256 chars or 512 chars).
This is just a guess.
4) To confirm this is not a Reports servlet problem
give
rwclient report=<report_name> + ..... <server=server_name>
If you get same error, then it is not a servlet problem. It could be that Reports server is crashing

Report does not work in 2nd instance after transported
My SAP Script report does not come out correctly after its transport into a 2nd instance. The fonts displayed in the report don't look the same like what we have in instance #1.
The report originally created in the instance #1 is good, but after the transport, the fonts in instance #2 are larger and some of the contents are not properly aligned. Some part of the boxes are also missing. I would appreciate any suggestions of how to fix them. Thanks, SamHi,
There might be a possiblity that the necessary style used in the SapScript is not transported to the New Instance and hence the Cosmetic issues...
Check whether all the associated objects like Style are transported to nre Instance or not? -
I have an apple iphone 4 that I want to download audio books from my library onto. I cannot figure out how to do that. The iphone does not show up on my mac laptop as a connected device. Does this kind of download have to run through itunes? Thanks
Yes it is done through iTunes. The iPhone will never show up in Finder as a device. BI Publisher Word Template The report does not contain any data fields.
I have OBIEE BI Publisher report (10.3.4) working fine using BIP but using MS Word 2003 I want to create new template and want to add charts etc.
Step 1. In MS Word I successfully login Oracle BI Publisher as Administrator
2. Oracle BI Publisher -> Open (I open the report)
3. Go to Insert -> Table Wizard
I get this error:
The report does not contain any data fields. Please make sure that the reports generates data with the default settings or provide a valid XML file.

AR aging report does not print alphabetically by customer name in 8.8
AR aging report does not print alphabetically by customer name in version 8.8.
It is possible to create a custom layout for the receivables aging summary report (to print alphabetically by BP name) to overcome this problem. However, itu2019s not possible for the u201Cdetailed receivables aging reportu201D or u201Ccustomer statement reportu201D.
Why has SAP changed this functionality? In version 2007 SAP takes the order of the rows set on the screen unless other order is specified in the layout.
How can we make the u201Cdetailed receivables aging reportu201D and u201Ccustomer statement reportu201D print alphabetically by customer name?
Steps to reproduce:
Business partners > Business partner reports > Aging > customer receivables aging
Doubleclick on customer name to sort it in alphabetical order.
Click on preview and select u201Creceivables aging summary reportu201D.
The system layouts do not print by customer name in alphabetical order.

Also, customer statement report does not print by customer name in alphabetical order.
In SAP 2007 versions, when a marketing document or aging report is printed, SAP takes the order of the rows set on the screen unless other order is specified in the layout.
In SAP 8.8 although it works the same way for marketing documents, it doesnu2019t work like this for Aging reports.
I was able to change the order for the u201CReceivables Aging Summary Reportu201D only. We cannot overwrite a System report, I had to create a new layout called: u201CBusiness Partner Aging (Summary) (Alphabetically Sorted)u201D.
I couldnu2019t set up the order based on BP Name for the other 2 options: Detailed Receivables Aging Report and Customer Statement Report (One page per Customer).
Iu2019ve checked print settings and properties, and I donu2019t see any way of changing the default order for these reports.Reported it to SAP support + they plan to fix it in a future patch.

Report does not display some data
Hi,
Using:
- Crystal Reports 2008 SP3 as development platform.
- Visual Studio 2008 to launch the crystal report.
- SQL Server 2005 SP3 as database
Crystal Report:
- rpt file has been set up for a couple of months, working fine uptill last friday
- dataset comes from a SQL Server stored procedure with some parameters. Executing this stored procedure with these parameters, returns the correct result set
- showing the report using the Crystal Reports Viewer, some fields remain blank since the beginning of this week. Why does the report does not show all the data that is in the result set of the stored procedure ?
Any idea for a solution ?

But in my testcase, I finally dropped the link between the ttx file and the stored procedure. Doing so, I was able to run the report from the designer with the stored procedure as datasource instead of the ttx file. At that moment, I still had missing data in my report, while the resultset of the stored procedure returns me all the correct data !
In the mean time, I changed the layout a bit, especially the text fields containing name, address, country and postal code and city of the customer, by just adding some spaces between those seperate databasefields. In fact, there is one text box with all those database fields concatenated one to the other.
And by just adding some spaces in between, my report works fine again ?!

I have enabled File screen audit and Record file screening activity in auditing database options in file server 2008.
I am getting details of file screen audit in Event log , But incident report file screen audit report does not contain any value.
Getting report for each incident of file screen audit , But it does not contain any data in report statistics.
Data available in scheduled report of file screen audit.. not available in incident report only..

The FND_REQUEST.SUBMIT_REQUEST will call another Host program which will send an email with the specified Body and Subject.
The report pdf output will be an attachment along with the email.
Issues faced
When I click on the Report Concurrent Program output, I can see the XMLP pdf output, but when the pdf file comes to my email address, it does not open,
because, it is actually an xml file with the extension of pdf.
I am actually picking up the file output from fnd_concurrent_requests. When I check the file it is xml, but in the conc manager it opens as a pdf,
Is there a way by which I can pick up the pdf file and not the xml file. Is there any other location where this pdf file gets stored, which I see in the Conc manager output window, but not in the fnd_concurrent_requests table.
I also notice that the pdf file gets generated in the Conc manager output window, irrespective of whether or not I use the code for
fnd_request.add_layout.
But when I use : fnd_request.add_layout, the Host program ends with a Warning, whereas if I don''t use it, then it completes successfully.
But still the problem of the attachment persists.

2. another way is,
in your after report trigger, call another program. In that program, wait until your original program completes. After it is done, get the path and PDF file name, call your host program, passing the PDF file name as parameter. You need to modify your host program, a bit. -
Hi. How come iTunes keeps saying:"this iPod can not be used because the required software is not installed. Run the iTunes installer to remove iTunes, then install the 64 bit version of iTunes?" Wth...i am using the 64 bit version of itunes. Why does it keep saying that? Will someone Help me please!? This is is getting frustrating. I already had done a full removal of everything! Now it's saying that the required software isn't installed. Hmm, could it be referring to Apple Mobile Device Support? That is supposed to be installed with when iTunes gets installed right?
