How consume a RFC, BAPI, Group of Functions or program of other SAP server

I have a problem.
I'm working with 2 server
1. SAP Banking
2. SAP ECC
I did some programs, ABAP proxy, function on SAP Banking. But I have a problem. I process data information on ABAP Proxy about Collaterals objects , but in a subprocess I need create documents on SAP ECC, but I don't have any idea about consume a program, or functions, or RFC of other servers
**NOTE:
On the standard transacction of Collaterals Objects, when the user process this seccion of documents, the transacction opens a transaccion of SAP ECC to create this objects.

It sounds like you need to do this in the background to match what you see happening in the foreground?  You need to find out what the RFC-enabled functions are that you need to call and then just call them.  See the help files on functions for more info.  If there aren't any functions available, then you can certainly wrap any transaction or program in a custom function, RFC-enable it, and then call it directly or as a web service.  You must already have an ABAP destination available if you can currently make a dialog call from one system to the other.

  • How to implement the Oracle Group by function in Crystal reports?

    Hi all,
In SQL, for example we have a group function like:
select  district, state, country, continent, sum(no.of people) from world.
Now, How to implement this group function in crystal reports? Please advise.
    Thanks in advance..
    Regards,
    sriram

    Hi Vinay,
    Thanks for the prompt reply.
In one of our report, we are supposed to perform group by for 14 columns to get sum of 3 columns and there by displaying 17 columns in the report.
When we tried in crystal reports to implement this oracle group by functionality:
    1. We created 14 groups from the Insert->Group option.
    2. By performing this, we got 14 group sections vertically(one inside the other).
    3. Then we created the sum(15th column),sum(16th column), sum(17th column)  by Insert->Summary option.
    4. We suppresed all the group sections except for the last group.
    5. Then, dragged all the groups to the last group section along with the summary fields.
This is how, we tried to acheive the oracle group by function in Crystal reports.
Please advise, whether our approach is right. If not, please suggest the appropriate approach with a bit detailed explanation.
    Thanks,
    Sriram.

  • How to copy a Module Pool Program from one SAP server to another SAP server

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to copy some Module pool programs from one SAP server to another SAP server which do not have any link.
    Please advise on this.
    Regards
    Dipak

put all relevant objects inside a transport request and release it. this will generate two files, a control file in /usr/sap/trans/cofiles/ and a data file in /usr/sap/trans/data/
you can take these two files, zip'em up and e.g. email them to your destination. There they have to be put into the same directories of that other server and can then be added to the import queue and finally imported.
These last steps would usually be done by an administrator.
Both systems should be on the same release, as far as I know.
    Cheers

  • How to create RFC function module and how to call this function module

    Hi,
i want to know step for creating RFC function module and then How to  use this function module from some other sap system.
    Thnaks,
    jigar

    Jigar,
To implement a remote function module in ABAP, perform the following steps:
Register the module as remotely callable in the RFC server system.
In the function module Administration screen (transaction code SE37), set the field Can be called via REMOTE CALL. Registering a module as remote causes an RFC stub to be generated for it.
Write the code for the function module.
    Create the destinations.....................
    Displaying, Maintaining and Testing Destinations
To display, create or modify destinations, choose Tools ® Administration ® Administration ® Network ® RFC destinations or enter transaction code SM59.
Remote Destinations are stored in table RFCDES. The RFCDES table describes logical destinations for remote function calls.
It is not possible to maintain the RFCDES table directly.
You can also access logical destinations via the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Tools ® AcceleratedSAP ® Customizing ® Execute Project ® SAP Reference IMG.
In the Implementation Guide, expand the following hierarchy structure:
    Basis
    Application Link Enabling (ALE)
    Sending and Receiving Systems
    Systems in Network
Define Target Systems for RFC Calls
    Displaying Destinations
The initial screen for this transaction displays a tree:
Different connection types (i.e. partner systems or programs) are possible. For further information, see Types of Destinations.
To display all information for a given destination, double-click it, or place the cursor on it and press F2 .
To search for a destination, press the Find button and specify your selection. You get a list of all entries matching your selection. Place the cursor on the one you want, and press F2 or simply double-click the destination. All information for the given entry appears.
    Creating Destinations
On the destinations overview screen (transaction code SM59), the connection types and all existing destinations are displayed in a tree structure.
All available connection types are explained in Types of Destinations.
To create a new RFC destination, press the Create button. A new screen is displayed with empty fields for you to fill in.
If you want to create a new destination
As you create a remote destination, you can specify a particular application server or a group of servers for a balanced distribution of system load.
For details of the destination parameters, see Entering Destination Parameters.
    Changing Existing Destinations
On the destinations overview screen (transaction code SM59), the connection types and all existing destinations are displayed in a tree structure.
You can display all information for a given destination by double-clicking it or pressing F2 on it.
To change an existing destination, double-click it, or place the cursor on it and press the Change button.
For details of the destination parameters, see Entering Destination Parameters.
    Testing Destinations
To test a destination, choose the appropriate function from the Test menu.
Connection (also available via the Test connection pushbutton)
    Authorization (checks logon data)
Local network (provides a list of application servers)
You can use the CALL FUNCTION statement to call remote functions, just as you would call local function modules. However, you must include an additional DESTINATION clause to define where the function should run:
    CALL FUNCTION RemoteFunction
    DESTINATION Dest
    EXPORTING
    f1 =...
    f2 =...
    IMPORTING
    f3 =...
    TABLES
    t1 =...
    EXCEPTIONS......
The field Dest can be either a literal or a variable: its value is a logical destination (for example, "hw1071_53") known to the local SAP System. Logical destinations are defined in the RFCDES table (or the TRFCD table in R/2 Systems) via transaction sm59 or the following menu path: Tools ® Administration, Administration ® Network ® RFC destinations. You can also access logical destinations via the Implementation Guide (IMG) by choosing Tools ® Customizing ® Enterprise IMG. In the Implementation Guide, you can then choose Cross-application components ® ALE ® Communication ® Define RFC destination.
The remote function call concept, for example, allows you to access a function module in an R/2 System from an ABAP program in an R/3 System. If you want to read a customer record from your R/2 System’s database, create a remotely callable function module in the R/2 environment which retrieves customer records. Call this function from your R/3 System using a remote function call and listing the destination for the target R/2 System:

    amar
    [email protected]

    Hi,
    how to configure?
BAPI are remote functions that can be called by another system or same system...you can use standard BAPI or create your own BAPI. (transaction BAPI and SE37)
BADI are methods that you can re-define in order to change SAP standard logic for some functionalities...(transaction SE18 and SE19)
IDOC are structured files in a SAP format that can be customized and used to send or receive data instead of xml or txt or ....files. IDOC can be monitored and checked with a set of transactions.

  • In B2c - How to Pass Additional Data from UI to the Backend Systems in SAP?

Just wondering in SAP b2c how can I set/transfer data from UI to the back end database/SAP after confirmation step?
Edited by: Sayed Ahmed on Jul 27, 2008 6:47 AM

    Hi,
Just use extension data methods to send the data to backend systems.
This method is clearly mentioned in the above links.
If you want to send the data to a new function module then follow this process.

  • How to passing lowercase values to RFC/BAPI using webdynpro for JAVA

    Hi Exerts,
When we sending values to RFC/BAPI through webdynpro (JAVA), the values are sent in capital (uppercase) letters to ECC.
So if we fill xxxx, it is send like XXXX. Why? and how to avoid this?
    Thanks in advance,
    Joeri

    Hi,
There could be two possibility if you are storing this value in ABAP table.
    1. You are entering value in UPPERCASE in your webdynpro application.
    2. The data stored in ABAP table, converts value in small to upper case.
    1.  Can you tell me how you are passing this value, is user entering value in some input field which is binded to some context and this value are you passing to RFC/BAPI...???
Or else before passing value to RFC/BAPI you can use toLowerCase string function and the npass this value to RFC/BAPI
    e.g String name = wdContext().currentContextelement().getName().toLowercase();
Now pass this name to RFC/BAPI is should go as lowercase only..
This is from webdynpro java side..
    2. If you are storing this value in ABAP table, check the domain/type of variable in ABAP table for which you are storing the value. Ask ABAPper, so that this value are stored in small case letter.
There is one tick in domain which you need to remove so that it stores in lower case. I dont have exact information but you can consult this with ABAPer.
Hope this information helps guy ..!!!!

  • How to verify if the RFC/BAPIs on ECC6 ides are unicode (UTF16) enabled

    Hello,
I am not a SAP expert however I have knowledge about SAP RFCSDK. Let me give some background about what I am trying to do which would help to clear my question a bit more.
    1. I have a program written in "C", which uses RFCSDK to communicate with SAP server for  integration. This program works fine with non unicode RFCSDK 6.40
    2. For one of my need, I need to add UTF16 support to this code. So I am using unicode version of RFCSDK 6.40 with SAPwithUNICODE flag set. And using librfc32u.dll (Build : Tue Apr 08 09:22:11 2008, File version : 6405, 5, 228, 5755, Product version : 6405.5.228)
    3. I am using code page : 4103 (UTF16LE) in RfcOpenEx while communicating with SAP server.
    4. I am able to logon to the SAP server (version ECC6) successfully and also able to execute RFC_GET_FUNCTION_INTERFACE successfully to get interface info of the RFC. I am using function "RfcGetStructureInfoAsTable" from RFCSDK to get structure info, which also seems to be OK.
After gathering the above info when I am trying to execute a BAPI I am getting "RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION" error.
    5. I am trying to execute "BAPI_EMPLOYEE_GETLIST" and I have already checked all the import parameters (including field values in RFC_PARAMETER structure) and they all seems to be correct. On execution I am getting following error in the trace file (.trc).
T:3480 Error in program 'nleiact': ======> "SELECT ... LIKE ..." with leading, but no closing inverted comma.
    T:3480 Error in program 'nleiact': <* RfcReceive [1] : returns 3:RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION
    T:3480 Error in program 'nleiact': <* RfcCallReceive [1] : returns 3:RFC_SYS_EXCEPTION
I was wondering if the RFC/BAPI on the SAP server might not be unicode (UTF16) enabled as one of the cause of this failure.
Could somebody help me to point out a method to verify whether the RFC/BAPIs on this SAP server are unicode enabled or not?
Also (I know it is against guidelines of forum of having multiple questions in one post) could somebody point out if I am doing something wrong or missing something in procedure (as described above.) of using unicode RFCSDK?
    Thanks

Edited by: Prasanna Joshi on Feb 4, 2009 4:15 PM

Finding out the system code page you may need to first look this fm SCP_CODEPAGE_BY_EXTERNAL_NAME  and also check other function module under function group SCPA
PS These fm are not RFC's you may need to write wrapper above these to use.

  • File to RFC/BAPI - Async- How to capture response field value

    Hi,
I am doing File to RFC/BAPI Scenario. I have Two BAPI's. THe same source xml file is mapped to the Two Target BAPI's.
For the first flow i.e File to BAPI1, I need to capture BAPI Response, field value and pass this value as Input to the BAPI2.
How do I proceed with the Mapping. I am working on PI 7.1
    Any input would be Appreciated.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Varun

    Hi Varun,
apparently you need a Business Process:
XML -> BP (asynchronous), Map to Bapi1 request structure
    BP -> BAPI 1 (synchronous)
Transformations step with multi mapping merging XML and Bapi1 response to Bapi2 request structure
    BP-> BAPI2

  • How to set lowercase/uppercase checkbox in function module/RFC

    Hi2All
I m importing username and id in a RFC. i want this username as it is when we pass it in function module. if we set the check box lowercase/uppercase option when executing function module, it will keep all input as it is (means will not convert all inputs to CAP) .
So how can i keep this chechboc checked forever for my RFC?
    Bye....!!!

    Hi,
I don't think that's possible. I cannot able to find any SET/GET parameter assigned to it. If you are calling RFC from some other application, then you need to send your data as capital letters, or if it is custom RFC , then you can code into your code to convert small to capital letters. or if you are using a SAP standard then write wrapper function module.
