How creates or modiyfiys the ivi.ini?

I am using serveral Ivi - Devices (ag3634a, ag3499 ,ag3220 ag53132) in a ATE system. The System is using TestStand 2.0.
I would like to use the IVI Step Tpyes for these devices.
But it failed with code -31617 (channel name not vaild)
After spending a hour in this great Forum, I found that i have to use the the channel names defined in ivi.ini.
But on the ATE - maschine there was not this file.
After copying the file from the my developer maschine to the ATE everything was working.
why was this file on my dev. maschine and not an the ATE maschine --> Both are using the same drivers
please tell me

Hello Juergen,
Ivi.ini depends on the version of IVI engine. This file is obsolet for last IVI engine (for version 2.0 and higher) and thay are using XML config store. The best way how you can configure and change your settings is MAX.
Specific cahnnels:
ag3634a has specific channel "1"
ag3499 depends on the module (see attached PDF file)
ag53132 has specific channels "1","2","3"
see attached screenshot. Remember that you must press save icon after all changes are done ;-)

    Which VI or function are you referring to? There is neither an "IVI New Session.vi", nor a corresponding "Ivi_NewSession" function in C.
    The Ivi Class Drivers determine which specific driver to use at run-time, by looking up the resource descriptor (a Logical Name, or Virtual Instrument) and determining the associated Instrument Driver. That configuration information is settable by the user through MAX (Measurement and Automation Explorer).

  • When creating SCCM boot.wim what modifies the winpeshl.ini file?

    I need to add a command to run before tsbootshell.exe in the winpeshl.ini. Other than cracking the boot wim and manually modifiying winpeshl.ini how can it get Configmgr to do this automaticlly? The post for putting it in the unattend does not work for me
    because tsbootshell.exe has already run at that point so the only place i can make this modification is in winpeshl.ini.

    I am in a similar situation and wanted to add a sleep.exe command to winpeshl.ini as mentioned in this thread:

    I discovered that you can create a customized winpeshl.ini file in this location and it will be automatically be integrated into the final boot image when you use SCCM to update or create new boot images. I think you're trying to do exactly what I was trying
    to do and this should do the trick.

    You can know the user details with version management.Please find the
    below procedure to know.
    Go to table->Utilities tab->version->Version management->Compare the previous one .

    Have an album I created on my iPhone5 that I want to be able to see all those photos on my MacBook Pro in iPhoto.  But when I have my iPhone connected (wirelessly) to iTunes, and iPhoto open, I can't for the life of me figure out how to seamlessly merge the iPhone album so I can have easy access in iPhoto.  I can't find photo stream anywhere in iPhoto (it's not showing up on the side menu bar, have already looked).  Any other suggestions?  I would think this should be an easy fix, but can't for the life of me figure it out.

How do I get the nav bar to load up and show? It was a disaster loading up my site as it changed the case of the letters and at first no pages were seen, so I had to go through and change the letters that were supposed to be cap, back to cap in every file. I don't know if this has something to do with it or not. The tech support doesn't have an answer. Please let me know if you have any ideas and solutions. Thanks bunches!

  • How do you apply the same password policy to every PDF document you create with inDesign?

    I don't know if this is really supported with inDesign 5.5, but here is my my use case:
    I constantly create more than 10 PDFs a day using inDesign
    On  all PDF's I create, i want to apply password security to protect them
    But in order to do so, within inDesign, I am   always forced to go to the "security dialogue" pane to set up the same permission  and passwords over and over again
    This gets tiring :/
    So what I am hoping to do is  the following:
    Like acrobat, I want to create a password policy within inDesign
    I want all PDFs created to have such a password policy  be automatically applied
    I know acrobat supports something like this (http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7d68.w.h tml), but, unless I may have missed something, the Acrobat feature is limited. That is, the help link  does not tell me how to automatically do this with Acrobat either (the link does not explain to me how to "automatically apply the same password security policy to every PDF document I save within the application). I think the only way to do so is via "Adobe LiveCycle Rights Management ES", but for non server users, I am hoping there is another way.
    So my questions are:
    Is it possible to create password security policies in inDesign?
    Is it possible to apply the same password security policy to every PDF i create in inDesign?
    If not, can I change default settings within Acrobat ProX to automatically apply a password security policy everytime I save a PDF?
    If all fails, do you guys know of any extensions that can support this?

    Thanks for your notes. To follow up on your response.
    Bummer. I kinda had a hunch at this inDesign limitation.
    I have been aware of the method for setting up of a security policy within Acrobat. While this feature does cut down some of the work involved in creating and applying password policies to pdfs, what I am looking for with Acrobat is to apply the same password policy to every document I save from the app. Automatically. Without having to manualy select a policy.
    I think my solution will have to lie in me creating some sort of script to help support this need. I don't think Acrobat Pro X has the capabilities to allow me to tinker with, say, creating a save PDF preset that will allow me to automatically apply a password policy.
    PS. I am using acrobat pro x.

The problem is, once I create a document in Pages and turn it into an ePub to be opened in iBooks, I delete the document in Pages, because I don't need two copies taking up space on my iPad. Before Maverick, iTunes would backup everything in my iBook app on my iPad. If something ever happened to my iPad, all of my created ePubs would be lost and I would be screwed. I suppose I could keep everything on Pages and go to iCloud and download my documents to my Mac, but that is a lot of steps. I may have to do that if there is no other way, but I am hoping someone will have the answer for me. Pretty disappointed in iBooks app for Mac at this point.

    iBooks only syncs purchased books. Others must be synced in iTunes.

    As long as you computer is authorized for that iTunes account, the songs will work with iTunes Match. The user does not need to be logged in on that computer.
    Husband's computer and husband's iTunes account signed in.
    Songs from wife's iTunes account on computer and computer authorized for wife's account. Songs from both will work with iTunes Match.

    If you remeber the password to that Apple ID then follow these steps
    1 - Make sure you have an email address that is NOT an Apple ID
    2 - Go to AppleID.Apple.com
    3 - Where it reads Manage Apple ID - Sign in
    Once you are signed in want to make sure the email address you are wanting to use is NOT set up as a "Recovery/Rescue" email for this account.
    [To check this - Main page where you see Primary ID - below do you see the email address you want to use listed towards the bottom? Yes - Delete / No - Good ./. If made any adjustments "Save" Next on the left select "Password & Security" - Answer your security questions you set up "if you have any" then scroll towards the bottom and check to see if you see the email address you want to use. Yes - Delete / No - Good] <-> Also you can change your password on this page as well. Any adjustments made "Save"
    Once this is done go back to the main page where you should read "Primary ID" and change the email address that is showing to the new email address youo want. "Save" Done
    I learned this not to long ago and worked for me. Hope this helps you!

    You need to add PRIMARY KEY using something like this:
    SQL> alter table a add constraint pk_a_bm primary key (bm) ;

    When ever we copy any text/table cells from any frame, and paste it directly on page, A new Frame is created and the pasted text is placed inside that frame.
    Now to capture this frame creation, We have two possible solutions:
    1) Attach Observer on Document 'kDocBoss' on IID_IHIERARCHY_DOCUMENT and it will notify on frame creation in update function.
    2) Notification event on new story creation.
    Now, I need to perform some changes in the newly created table, for example:
    a)  Need to delete XML tags from newly created frame
    b)  Need to perform action on table cells if any in the created frame.
    But the problem is, when the event comes, I can access basic properties of frame like it's name, type etc, but it does not give me the
    XML element on frame or tables in frame until the event is com pleat.
    I know it's quite a specif requirement, but I guess many of you might have faced these kind of challenges, while processing the event.
    Does any one has any idea how I can get the reference of XML element on frame as soon as it is created?

    Anyway, I'd keep the story creation responder to recognize the copy, then combine it with an observer on the backing xml story to catch the associated XML element which is created there. Something like below:

    InterfacePtr<ISubject> subject ( xmlStoryRef,IID_ISUBJECT );
