How critical is the wily agent name?
The wily Introscope 7.2 installation guide suggests using agentName = SID_instaceName_serverx.
The e2e diagnostics managed system wizard asks for agentName = SID_hostname_serverx.
Does anything break if you followed the wrong instructions? If so what?
I am running e2e diagnostics SPS 15.

Hi Andy,
I would assume that it would be a given that a faster data connection would result in faster downloads, but it should not make a difference to the very popular phrase on the discussion groups of "failed download"
I've tried downloading on the office connection which is a 1MB 1:1 ratio link on a fibre backbone as well as on a normal 384k DSL line. The only difference being that it fails the downloads faster on the office line. All my tracks will start downloading, restart a while later and eventually it fails them. Before the Comes with Music became Nokia Music I could download on the same pc without issues.

How to deploy the Workspace Agent Services as a Window Service!
Hi all,
does anyone know how to install the Workspace Agent Service back as a Windows Service after i re-installed an reconfigured the workspace completly i do not see the Agent anymore in my Windows Services. I sure would like to avoid to have to uninstall and set it up completely again.
The agent start file is located in common\workspacert\9.5.0.0\bin.
Your help is much appreciated
Cheers
AndréI hit the same problem after reinstalling workspace.
It seems that the config tool does not create the workspace agent service on subsequent configurations.
A quick search of the configtool.log from the original installation/configuration yields the following:
com.hyperion.avalanche.config.CoreService, INFO, Running command: D:\Hyperion\common\workspacert\9.5.0.0\bin\wksagent.exe -RegService -Auto -Name HyS9Core1 -DisplayName Hyperion Workspace - Agent Service -Description HyS9Core1, Provides service infrastructure to run services locally
Dropping the above line at the command prompt fixed the issue for me.
Cheers,
Aaron

How to get the current schema name
Hi,
Can anybody please tell me how to get the current schema name, there is some inbuilt function for this, but i am not getting that. Please help me.
Thanks
Jogeshok folks, I found the answer at Tom's as usual.
http://asktom.oracle.com/tkyte/who_called_me/index.html
I rewrote it into a function for kicks. just pass the results of DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_CALL_STACK to this function and you will get back the owner of the code making the call as well some extra goodies like the name of the code and the type of code depending on the parameter. This ignores the AUTHID CURRENT_USER issues which muddles the schemaid. Quick question, does the average user always have access to DBMS_UTILITY.FORMAT_CALL_STACK or does this get locked down on some systems?
cheers,
paul

How to get the field row name of database from a form?
Hello experts,
I am newer in OIM and developments with the API's.
I have this environment,
one resource that have the attribute department
relationship with the database row
UD_RESOURCE1_DEPARTMENT and other resource with the same attribute in, UD_RESOURCE2_DEPARTMENT
I am programing one java class that put values in the
form field through the table name, sample,
UD_RESOURCE_DEPARTMENT.
I let some code:
# Hash table with the value of Department
myMap.put("UD_RESOURCE_DEPARTMENT", value);
# and save in the resource form
tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf tcform = (tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf)tcUtilityFactory.getUtility(dataProvider,"Thor.API.Operations.tcFormInstanceOperationsIntf");
tcform.setProcessFormData(Long.parseLong(formKey), myMap);
But this solution implies know the name of the field in the database and not is a global solution.
I am interesting in know how I can obtain the name of the
row field of the database for the atribute. Does anybody know how to obtain the row field name of database from an IT Resource or through the field name of the form?
Is this the correct way to store data in a form?
Thanks in advanced.Hi,
Thank you.
I have seen this function in the OTN help, but how can i get the index number. My requirment is when saving the data, I need to save both the value and the element name into the database,
Also it is tabular block, more than one rows

How to get the actual font name from a font file?
Hi
I have only the font Path I have to get the font name from that path. Any idea how to get the actual font name?
Thanks,I would ask you these questions:
Why do you need to do this? What are you ultimately trying to accomplish?
Are you really asking about the InDesign SDK?
Do you really need to get the "name" of a font from an arbitrary file? Or do you want information about a font installed on the system? If so, what OS?
Do you need to be able to handle any font format?
Which font "name" do you mean?
What language do you want the name in?
(1) It's not clear what you're trying to accomplish. A bit more information about your ultimate goal would be helpful.
(2) This question is not at all specific to the InDesign SDK. Are you really trying to do something in the context of an InDesign plug-in? If so, you probably want to look at IID_IFONTFAMILY and the IFontFamily::GetFamilyName function.
(3) If you are asking more generally, Windows and Mac both have system API calls to get this information, although those tend to deal with installed system fonts, not with arbitrary font files per se.
Also, you can parse the name table from a True Type or Open Type font without using any system APIs; as True Type and Open Type are well-documented standards. I would start by reading these:
The Naming Table
Font Names Table
(4) Although there are other standards, such as Type 1 (PostScript) fonts, and True Type Collection files and other formats, especially on Mac.
(5) Also, when you start down this road, you will quickly realize that your seemingly simple question is actually ambiguous, and that the answer is kind of complicated, because a font can have many names (a family name, a full font name, a style name, a PostScript name, etc.).
(6) And not only does a font have multiple names, it can have each of those names in multiple languages and encodings.
Any clarification would make this a better question. -
A very simple question: how to obtain the mail server name?
In our JSP application, at one point an email will be sent to notify one event. Currently, that is done by using the html tag: mailto. To have more control on the email in tems of context format (a bad layout right now) and others. I would like to have it processed at servlet by using the JavaMail API, so that it have a nice format and have the sender's email address right in case email client is not installed in the machine where the browser in. The JavaMail API is straight forward. The question is how to obtain the mail server name, and the sender's email address if there is one?
Thanks.
v.How to obtain the mail server's name? It's your server, you should know its name. Or if it isn't your server, you should ask the administrator for its name. Point is, you need to decide in advance what server you are going to use and hard-code its name into the program or into a properties file.
And how to obtain the client's e-mail address? You have to ask the client, probably by putting a box in the HTML and asking them to type it. -

How to change the TestStand directroy name?
Hi,
I'm interested to change the TestStand directroy name to 'TestStand' instead of 'TestStand 3.0' or 'TestStand 3.1'.
I'm facing a problem with this name. Here is an explanation:
Right now we have TS3.0 and TS3.1 installed on several computers. We work on projects that share modules (like GPIB). These modules are in a ClearCase system, so each one of us can use them and modify them. These modules call to some TS files like 'tsutil.fp' (which is located on the C drive). As a result of different TS names, the project which formerly called a file in TestStand 3.0 directory is now looking for the same file in TestStand 3.1 directory which it doesn't find...
Can you advice me how to modify the TestStand directory name to 'TestStand'?.
Thanks
RafiIn TestStand, if you go to the Configure>>Search Directories menu, you can add user defined paths to search directories. You have the option to add/remove/move up and move down the search directories. However these options are valid only for user defined search directories. The paths to directories that come shipped with TestStand cannot be removed or moved up/down. In your case, I would suggest that you create a custom path to the directory where you want to search and move it right to the top of the list using the "move up" button. In this way that particular directory will be searched first.
Thank you

How to get the report server name in Forms 10g.
How to get the report server name in Forms 10g.
I'm using the Application Server 10g 10.1.2.Hello,
I do not think that you can get this value from anywhere. A solution is to put the Reports server name in an environment variable stored in the /forms/server/default.env file, then to query it at Forms runtime with the TOOL_ENV.Getvar() built-in.

How to identify the psa table names in bi 7?
Hi all,
How to identify the psa table names in bi 7? i need to know the psa table name in bi 7?
as well as i need to check whether any historical data loads is there for psa for a particular period?
How to filter for a particular data in the psa in bi 7?
Thanks
PoojaHi Pooja,
A)How to identify the psa table names in bi 7? i need to know the psa table name in bi 7?
Double click on the PSA and CTRLSHIFTF5 --->in PSA properties -->PSA table ..u can find the name here ....
B)as well as i need to check whether any historical data loads is there for psa for a particular period?
usually as SAP best practise we will not keep data in PSA for not more than 30 days or at the amx 60 days..you may not find historical data here..however to find the oldest data -->Right Click >Manage>Give some old date ,say 01.01.2005 in the Request newer than ...and Refresh.....
Other way is to find out in the Data provider i.e in the Cube or DSO ...
How to filter for a particular data in the psa in bi 7?
a)Do not map it
b)in the DTP...Filter it ....i.e from PSA -->CUBE/DSO....
c)Or write a routine also in start routine ...
