How do i add a description that will populate in iPad podcast app?

In iTunes on the computer, I can click on the i (information icon) and get a description. However, when I click on the i icon in the podcast app on my iPad, the description information does not appear. Is there a way to make this info appear on the podcast app? Thank you for your help!

You need to have text in the 'itunes:subtitle' and 'itunes:summary' tags - the 'itunes:subtitle' should be kept short. Many people have only the 'description' tag and while the Store will usually read this if the other tags are not present it's possible that the Podcasts app does not (it's not something I can check).

Just a bit more info. E-mail can be used, but has potential problems -- often related to the client machine that you have no control over. Use the data submissions (either FDF or XML) rather than the full PDF so you do not have to deal with Reader Rights and the related license issues. The FDF and XML data files are easily imported into the original form so that you see what the client sees. With those aspects in mind, just go ahead and try one. Be aware that you can add form fields using the form tools in the Advanced Editing tools, OR use the forms menu that will take you to Designer. You might want to try both to see the pros and cons. Be sure to keep such a test simple so you are not wasting time on your final form just for testing. I typically create a 1 page form that has all of the possible fields for such a test.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

How can I make a button that will work on iPads? (animate only on Mousedown)

I am making an interactive page in Adobe Edge Animate. It will double as a low-mem website and also as an iPad page and is part of a larger flash website which is highly animated.
This website sports two kinds of buttons; the ones linking to a label in the timeline and the ones linking to a URL.
The problem is that I do not want the buttons to work on mouseover because that will be completely useless on iPads and similar devices. That is why I want the thing to animate on mousedown.
What I did initially was to load the on and off states of the button to my timeline and made them into a symbol, after that I made two labels inside of that symbol; one for the on state and one for the off state. Below the first label there is a "sym.stop("ONstate");" action and then my off-state button graphic has a mousedown "sym.stop("skipON");" action. Then comes the tricky part, I wanted to reference the label on which it should land in a onclick action on a root level. It didn't work at all. I used "_root.stop("label");". As you can see my programming abilities are extremely poor, I'm a graphics guy.
Next, I decided to leave the mousedown action inside the symbol and do the onclick action on the main timeline, which did work for the most part, however it behaved weirdly. First off, the mousedown action worked perfectly, but not at the same time with the onclick action; You would click on the mousedown thing and it would stop on the frame and then you would need to click it a second time to go to the label.
There must be either something I'm doing wrong or this function is not supported by the Edge Animate beta. But my programming abilities are so poor to pinpoint the real cause of the problem.
Can anyone help me please?

Part of the problem is that you're using ActionScript syntax in a JavaScript environment. Instead of using _root, you can access the Stage object. If your symbol is only one level down, you can use sym.getParentSymbol().stop("label");. If you have a nested symbol, you may find sym.getComposition().getStage().stop("label"); more effective.
That being said, you might want to rethink your UI model and focus your iPad interactions on the touch events, which are much more performant than the mouse events.

Is there a reason why the assessment date and notes are part of the eligibility rule? Looks like the assessment date and notes are just two bits of information to be collected, but which aren't really part of the eligibility determination?
Normal practice is to keep the eligibilty rule 'pure', i.e. just containing the eligibility logic, and to separate out other attributes which may need to be collected, but which are not really eligibility criteria. For example:
the Immediate Needs Assessment is complete if
the Immediate Needs Assessment Date is known and
the Immediate Needs Assessment Notes is known and
it is known whether or not the person has an immediate need for assistance
or if you just need to know the assessment date or the notes:
the Immediate Needs Assessment is complete if
either
...the Immediate Needs Assessment Date is known or
...the Immediate Needs Assessment Notes is known
and
it is known whether or not the person has an immediate need for assistance
As long as the interview has been completed (regardless of whether or not the person is eligible), the decision report for "the Immediate Needs Assessment is complete" will show the assessment date/notes, and then the logic tree for the main eligibility rule.

Add your description as you normally would. Then export the photo using the File -> Export command. In the resulting dialogue you have a number of options. If you check the box at Titles and Descriptions then these wil be written to the IPTC metadata of the files, and available in any app that understands this metadata.

Does anyone know of a VI or how to go about writing one that will prevent the computers clock/time from being disabled while an application is running. The time and date can normally be reset while an application is running by clicking on the time/date in the lower right-hand corner of the computer screen. I have an application that runs over several days and it is critical that the time and date of the computer not be changed. Is there an easy way to lock this out from the user? Note that I am what I consider an advanced beginner in LV.

That is not something you can do from LabVIEW, as it is an operating system operation, and it will depend on the operating system that you're using. On Windows you can use a group policy to control this. Please Google on "prevent time and date change in windows".

It is possible. Add your text fields and in their Properties set them to have Rich Text Contents (under Options). This will allow the users to specify all kinds of formatting settings for those fields (by pressing Ctrl+E and using the Properties bar).

The results in the bottom three rows (Apr, May and Jun) are correct for the simple formulas given and for the data entered in the Amount column as the empty cells are evaluated as containing zero. In practice, you would want a formula that suppressed the calculation until something was entered in that row of the Amount column. That's easy enough to add, should you think doing so will be useful.
But it won't make Numbers read your mind.

Try using FireFox. IE will only run on a Mac if you run Windows on the Mac.

You can middle-click or Ctrl left-click the Home button on the Navigation toolbar to open the Home page in a new tab.

If the apps that are on your son's iPad were purchased under his Dad's Apple ID, then signing your Apple ID onto the iPad will not help you with updating those apps.
Also, if the iPad was sync'd with his Dad's iTunes library, then hooking it up to your computer/iTunes library, will require you to reset the iPad, and everything that was loaded under the other Library and Apple ID will be wiped out.
Can you provide a little more info about what was set up under which Apple ID and what iTunes library the iPad was sync'd with?

Now i have been trying to work on this for a while now and what i want to do should be simple but its apparently not.
Here is an example of what i want to happen.
I will have 2 tabs: Contact | Sales
Now Contacts will have the list of names and various information about a customer, While Sales will have one drop-down box for each Cell Row that will show the names of the person in tab contacts
for what i am wanting to do i cant use the data format pop-up menu because the list is edited everyday several times a day.
Now how do i do this, Excel can do this so how can numbers do it?

How do I build an application that will run without being installed?

I have seen some of the prior posts on trying to do this, but most of them were older, so I'll ask:
Using 7.1, how do I build an application that will run without having to install the runtime engine? I have a client that wants to run serial port monitoring VIs to watch some custom hardware we built for him. His IT dept. won't let him install anything. If I could make this VI run off of a USB thumb drive without needing anything installed on the system it would be ideal. Space is not a problem, so I could include any runtime files needed. Can anyone tell me how to do this?

Under what operating system was it running under back in the 90's when it was working?
I think that starting with NT platforms (applies to 2000 and XP, but not 9x) the hardware abstraction layer (HAL) prevented direct I/O to serial ports. Serial port related code that ran fine on 3.x and 9x would not run under NT platforms without modification.
Just some food for thought, do not know if it applies to your situation.
