How do I add my JApplet to my website?

I have the code all written, like
public class Blah extends JApplet implements ActionListener{
...code...
How do I put it on my website. I searched on some search engines, and found stuff like
<applet code="TumbleItem.class"
codebase="examples/"
archive="tumbleClasses.jar, tumbleImages.jar"
width="600" height="95">
<param name="maxwidth" value="120">
<param name="nimgs" value="17">
<param name="offset" value="-57">
<param name="img" value="images/tumble">
But, where do I put the actual code?

Is "GradesApplet the package?
Can you use curl or wget or the like to grab the class file, outside of a browser? This is just to confirm that you've set up the web site right. (You can also try pointing your browser directly at the class file, not at the HTML file with the applet tag. If the site works right, the browser will probably try to download the class file onto your hard drive.)
Not all web sites support applets. You should check your web site hosting company's documentation to confirm that they support it.
