How do I attach a .pdf for download?

hi all,
I am designing a site and would like to include a .pdf pricelist for clients to download off my site - can't figure out how.

Welcome to the discussions. In general, you can hyperlink a file by setting it up in iWeb Inspector's Link tab as "Link To: A File. The following video tutorial shows an example of a PDF document being linked for downloading, but it can alternatively be an MP3 or other file:

Note that you won't be able to test the hyperlink in iWeb itself — only after publishing will you be able to test the hyperlink in a browser.
A PDF hyperlinked in iWeb as "A File" will open in the current browser window/tab. At the bottom of this test page (not mine) there are a couple of text links to PDFs — click on them and see what happens...

Thanks for your replie.
Nice alternative, but it still doesn't work on a Windows machine when the
mail software from Microsoft doesn't react on PDF actions.
You can do many things in Acrobat, but it is a problem when it doesn't work
on Windows and iPad.
So now I am looking for alternatives like interactive magazine software
(based on html5).

You can use the Share button on Preview's toolbar. Choosing Email pops open Mail with the PDF already iconified as an attachment. If it doesn't behave this nicely for you, select the PDF in Mail and choose the right contextual menu, where you will find View as Icon. I also have Send Windows-Friendly attachments enabled.

I attached a .doc file to the message and it appeared as an icon, so I did not have to convert it. I attached a .jpg image — it appeared as a full image, but when I Command+clicked the image, the view as icon window did not appear on the screen. Likewise, I again checked the Mail Menu Bar, and did see 'View as icon.' Side note: I routinely use Mavericks Mail in Classic Mode, so I decided to try both modes. Same results in both modes. I checked my Mail Preferences, but couldn't find anything there, either. I'll continue to look around, but this has me stumped. Thanks for your assistance.

After reading dozens of forum, I still don’t found the answer.
I made a photobook with full-colur and B/W photos for Offset printing. I want the B/W to be in grayscale to avoid color possible color shades. It seems InDesign doesn’t support grayscale, the images become way to dark. Even with exporting without any colour conversion or destination and/or including original colour profiles, the grayscale pictures are being exported to dark to PDF.

Yes, the Photoshop & ID CMYK working spaces are the same
This can get difficult because the 3 programs handle soft proofing differently.
The working spaces don't matter, it's the document profile(s) that manage the preview. So here is the same grayscale image placed in ID on top and PS on the bottom. I've set my Photoshop info to show the doc profile in the lower left corner. I can see my InDesign's Document CMYK profile in my Proof Setup (the Working CMYK is different and isn't being used). Both profiles are effectively the same Coated FOGRA39 (Black Ink FOGRA in the case of PS).
But the previews don't match because I have Overprint turned off, so the InDesign preview is Gamma 2.2 or a "screen" media preview.
If I turn on Overprint preview I get a match because I'm soft proofing for print:

- to send email : SO_NEW_DOCUMENT_ATT_SEND_API1
How I execute SM36:

3. Spool List Recipient : select my own address as internal user (I didn't tick any of the check box for the general attributes)
When I go to TCODE SO01(SAP Inbox)
The attachment I see is just a link to the output of my classic ABAP view report, it's not a PDF File.
But I in SO01, I create a mail and attach PDF file, receive it my SAP inbox and can also open the attached PDF directly by just double clicking it.

I want to recreate my groups recall roster for download to a smart phone, IPhone and Android. Is there a way to make a phone number clickable so that the hyperlink takes you to a call/text box and can I make a street address open up in a drive to function? Any help is appreciated. Thank you.

I don't believe this has been implemented, at least with Adobe PDF viewers. There is no such action defined in the PDF spec, so this would have to be implemented separately in a PDF viewer, kind of like how Reader interprets URLs in the text of a document as links even though no actual link annotation is present.
