The QT Pro Player is not, in and of itself, a batch processing application. You can, however, parallel process your files easily enough. Simple open your additional source files and set up your export options for each. As each new export begings, a new progress bar will appear in your export window. If you wish true sequential batch processing, use an application like MPEG Streamclip (free) as your "front end" to access the QT structure for exportation.

  • How do I batch convert separate avi files in Premiere Elements 11 to separate mp4 files

How do I batch convert separate avi files to separate mp4 files

For batch conversions, I use DigitalMedia Converter by Deskshare. My version is an older one (2.7), and there is a newer version, in two flavors, "regular" and "pro." I do not recall what limit on number of files is, but have had about 10 in the conversion queue. The newer version, and especially the Pro version, has probably expanded the number of files in the queue, but I could not quickly find what that max number is. While not opensource freeware, my copy was only about US$40. I was so impressed, that I bought two licenses - one for each of my editing computers. I have been meaning to upgrade to the new Pro version, but as old 2.7 works for what I need to do, just have not gotten around to it.
Now, Premiere Pro can do batch conversions too, through the AME (Adobe Media Encoder), but that would be a much, much more expensive solution.
I am certain that there are other conversion programs (some might also be free), that can do batch conversions, and with the H.264 CODEC for your MP4 output.
One caveat: if your AVI files are SD (Standard Def), you will NOT be pleased if you convert to MP4 in HD (High Def), as there will be up-rezzing, and the results will not be pretty. If you need to up-rez to HD, when using SD material, you might want to look into something like Red Giant's Magic Bullet Instant HD. Many users have been impressed by its up-rezzing capabilities, though some have not.
Also, I think that Corel's video editor has an up-rezzing capability, but have never used it, so cannot comment directly - might be great, or not so great.
    Good luck,
    Hunt

If you mean that you want a separate TIFF file for each page in the PDF, try using the saveAs JavaScript method in a batch process (Action): http://livedocs.adobe.com/acrobat_sdk/9.1/Acrobat9_1_HTMLHelp/JS_API_AcroJS.88.524.html

  • ITunes 11 has converted some songs to Quicktime movie format. How can I convert them back to MPEGs? format

iTunes 11 has converted some songs to Quicktime movie format. How can I convert them back to MPEGs?

I didn't mess with the iTunes Media folder previously, so I don't think that was the cause. Anyway, I manually fixed most of the songs, but I still can't figure out how to fix the movies that became listed as songs.
Here is a screenshot of what it looks like when I click on "Get Info" for one of the movies (which has ended up in the music section on iTunes):
There is no option to change the media kind to "movie" or "video" even though it is a movie and it still plays as a movie if I press play.

  • How do I batch convert .ai to .jpg or .png in Bridge CC 2014?

I have found where you could "Export" them out in older versions of Bridge but no "Export" function exist in CC 2014.

You could do it like this: http://www.santoshgs.com/blog/189/how-to-batch-convert-png-to-jpeg-using-photoshop-cs2/
But can I be honest? I'd do that with a more efficient and far faster conversion utility like IrfanView. Photoshop is incredibly slow for this type of work. For example, I did a quick test to demonstrate the difference in performance:
folder with 10 images in jpg format, 5600px by 5600px. Simple jpg to png batch.
    Photoshop: over six minutes.
IrfanView: one minute and 40 seconds.
That's a rather big difference - and with large numbers of images I just do not have the time to wait for Photoshop to finish the job. It's too slow.
Another issue is that during the conversion process Photoshop cannot be used - while with a simple conversion utility you can leave it running in the background, and continue to use PS for other work if required. This matters if you have hundreds of images to convert.
Btw, Irfanview (windows only) is free to download @ http://www.irfanview.com/
The batch processing you can find under File-->Batch Conversion <b>
ImageMagick is also free and open source. It is a command line tool, and easy to use for conversions. Will also work on a mac. But it is much slower than IrfanView, a tad faster than PS.

  • How do I batch convert 700 sequences to .mov and .mv4 files?

I have 700 separate sequences in FCP. Each one is 20-30 seconds long. I need to rename them and convert them to .mov files and then also .m4v files?
Is there an easy way to batch this or do I have to do them one by one by one by one..........

Try using the *Export Queue* (in FCP click Window > Export Queue).
    1. Once the window is open, in the Browser window, highlight the sequences you wish to export.
    2. Click and drag them into the *Export Queue* window. You should see a folder called +Batch 1+, with all your sequences.
    3. Click on the +Batch 1+ folder and press the Settings... button at the bottom of the window.
    4. Set your output destination.
    5. To export full res, the format should be *QuickTime Movie*, and the settings should be *Item Settings*.
    6. Include *Audio and Video*, or *Video Only*, depending on what you need.
    7. Check the *Make Self-Contained* check box.
If your sequences are NTSC DV, to export .m4v you will want to use Compressor 2, so that you can fix the aspect ratio (NTSC is 720x480 while the iPod size is 640x480 or 320x240. This is the difference between square and rectangular pixels.).
    1. In the *Compressor Preset* window, find the +iPod Video+ folder, and the +iPod Video+ preset inside the folder.
    2. Click the preset and press the *Duplicate Selected Setting* button at the top of the window. A setting called +iPod Video-Copy+ should appear in your Custom folder.
    3. Click on your new setting.
    4. In the Inspector window, use the 6 buttons to change the settings to what you need.
    5. Make sure in the Encoder section, that you choose your size (640 VGA or 320 QVGA) and pick the proper aspect ratio (4:3).
    6. Save your settings.
    7. Drag the full res files you exported from FCP into the Batch window. *Select All* (Command + A).
    8. Right-click in the Setting column and choose your +iPod Video-Copy+. It will apply that setting to all your videos (it may take a while depending on how many you do at once.)
    9. Save your batch.
    10. Submit!
For renaming, you might try an Automator script. Search the forums or Google, if you need help with that!
    Hope this helps!

  • How do I batch "Export For Web" from Quicktime, one at a time

I have 20 quicktime movies in folder A.
I would like to "Export for Web" for all 3 options (iPhone, iPhone (cellular), and Desktop) to folder B.
How do I create an automator script to complete this action one at a time, until they are finished converting?
Also, I do not want to delete the originals.
I have never used Automator, but I'm guessing it should be easy to execute a shut down command when it is done...
    Thanks a lot!

iTunes does not handle the import of photos/videos from the iPhone's Camera Roll.
If this is not the computer you sync your iPhone with, you should have been provided a warning message that your iPhone is associated with an iTunes library on another computer and when trying to transfer any iTunes content from a different computer, a warning message is provided indicating that all iTunes content on the iPhone will be erased first.
When connecting an iPhone to iTunes on another computer, none of the options under the various tabs for the iPhone sync preferences with iTunes are selected automatically. This means you had to select Sync Contacts under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes on your wife's computer.
Assuming you are syncing contacts with a supported address book app on your computer, connect your iPhone to Tunes on your computer and without syncing, under the Info tab for your iPhone sync preferences below the Advanced section, select Contacts for replace info on this iPhone followed by a sync.
For importing photos/videos from the Camera Roll which can be done with a computer that is not used for syncing the iPhone since syncing with iTunes is not involved.

  • Converting a swf to quicktime mov file

I created a swf file useing Flash and need to convert this to a mov file. I watched a training video and under Publish Settings > Format their should be a Quicktime mov option. I do not have this option on my CS5 Flash version. Also, if I try to export as a mov file, nothing happens. I have QuickTime Player version 7 on my computer. It just will not show up as an option in Flash. How do I convert a swf file to a mov file without going online and purchasing a converter?

I tried using the movie export option. A popup comes up titled "Recording Flash Content." It freezes and does not ever finish creating the file. I tried downgrading the player from Flash Player 10 to Flash Player 5. This did not work either.

  • I get a General Error message when I convert my film to Quicktime Movie.

I've compressed my film down to 24p etc etc. That worked fine. Before I did the compression there were some things I had to reconnect, did that, there was only one that didn't reconnect but the compression worked fine. Then I go to turn the film into a Quicktime Movie, I get to about 60% then I get a General Error message. Anyone have any ideas why thats happening?

Have you tried the compression with cinema tools?
make a quicktime movie of the stuff at 25 that you want to compress at 24 and go to cinema tools. make sure you create a new database at 24fps and try menu clip / comform. notice that cinema tools doesn't duplicate the clip, so it converts the one you are importing, make sure it is a copy of the original at 25

  • How does Apple link external "play" buttons to quicktime movies.

If you look at some of Apple's demo movies on their website, take Motion 3 demo for an example, they use external controller buttons to control the quicktime movie. Anyone know how they do this?

Very complex javascript files is how it's done:

Use the Safari Activity window to view them.

  • How do I batch convert many kinds of files to PDF/A

I have thousands of files to convert to PDF/A for archival purposes. In Acrobat Pro when I convert to PDFs to PDF/A, 5/6 times there is an error that pops up. Errors are often, "Embed fonts (even if text is invisible)" or "Fix glyph width information" and the PDFs end up my error folder.
When I try to convert Word Docs to PDF/A, my computer (a mac) hopelessly tries to open Word over and over again, and ends up at a blank word document, and the whole process stalls.
I've been trying to figure this out for days and am close to resigning myself to the 20 hours it will take to do each one individually on a free online PDF converter that doesn't ever have errors- which seems crazy, because what's the point of having Acrobat Pro??
    Thanks

I'm moving to Win8.1 and I don't want to loose my manual sorting.
Manual sorting is not meant for a permanent sort order nor is it designed to do so, when switching to a new window or other sort order you will loose the previous sort order. However there is a way to retrieve the last sort order used with a script Paul Riggott once wrote. But I'm not sure you can transport this sorting to a new system version because when you install a system from scratch you also need to recache the files for the Bridge Cache library. It might be possible to also copy the hidden file with the last sort order but that would mean a trial and error procedure.
Check this post, at the bottom is also a link for the site where you can get the script and how to install and use it:
    http://forums.adobe.com/message/4748987#4748987
Personal I would use batch rename to keep the sort order safe. You can select all files in the content window and add a sequence number in front (with enough digits to match your number of files) of your existing filename. In this way you can easily resort your collection when your manual sorting is lost for whatever reason and also the files will have the correct sort order on your system folder also.

  • How do I batch convert wav files to mp3?

Just wondering how I can convert a batch of wav files into mp3 files (including metadata).
I was looking thru features in both soundbooth and bridge, but I can't find it (if it exists).
    Thanls

Found this FREE easy to use mp3 converter called All2Lame, here:
    http://members.home.nl/w.speek/all2lame.htm
You will also need to download LAME MP3 encoder, and copy the lame.exe & the lame_enc.dll files into the all2lame directory to get it to work:
    http://www.rarewares.org/mp3-lame-bundle.php
The program offers a lot of command line type options, so you need to read the documentation to understand all your choices, but here's a 'quickstart' line you can put into the 'switches' line that will make highest quality stereo mp3's using variable bit rate technique:
    --vbr-new -V 0 -q 0 --resample 44.1
If you prefer mono to save space, use this line:
    --vbr-new -V 0 -q 0 -m m --resample 44.1

  • Lightroom 3- How do I batch process a group of photos with the same preset?

Using Lightroom 3/Mac.  Attempting to apply a preset to a group of photos. I read the forum already but what I read didn't make sense to me. Sorry. Also wondering if anyone else is plagued by Lightroom's tendency to take over the monitor. Whenever I want to switch to another application, I end up having to "Hide Lightroom" to get it to move. Any thoughts?

If you are on Windows, you can use this autohotkey script to minimize (#n) and restore (#b) Lightroom (# means win-start key):

Get unique window identifier of Lightroom's main app window.
Initial motivation: Make sure Lightroom will be the recipient of emitted keystrokes.
