How do I change the default of "Set code completion" to OFF??!!

When editing a script component, by default, ENDFIX's, ENDIF's, brackets and who knows what else get added automatically, but not where I want them. I have really, really tried to get used to this but it is driving me 'round the bend! Can I, or even better, the developers, PLEASE set the default to OFF?
If you want to improve the editor, add highlighting to bracket pairs or a comment behind the ENDFIX referring to the FIX area or something like that.
Please don't "pop in" additional commands by default!

Ok, If you really want to turn it off, there is no easy way and here are the steps. The path mentioned below might be different on your computer.
Go to C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\CalcMgr0\tmp\servers\CalcMgr0\tmp\_WL_user\CALC_11.1.2.0\qxf61x\war\js\com\hyperion\calcmgr\web\common
Edit ScriptEditorEx.js and change this._codeComplete=true to this._codeComplete=false, save the file.
Go to C:\Oracle\Middleware\user_projects\domains\EPMSystem\servers\CalcMgr0\tmp\servers\CalcMgr0\tmp\_WL_user\CALC_11.1.2.0\qxf61x\war\modules\com\hyperion\calcmgr\web\scripteditor
Edit scripteditorxx.js (there may be 3 files scripteditorFF1, scripteditorIE1, scripteditorIE9).
change _codeComplete:true, to _codeComplete:false, save all the files
Restart calc manager and delete your browser cache.

Ok. I believe you do. I just wanna know how. i'm using servlets. So, to print out the page, i use.

If "some_text" contains special characters, they are printed correctly. No problem about that.
the problem is when the string from the database/resultset has special characters. Those aren't printed correctly. And that's what i want to fix.
Any suggestions?

We have two macs in our editing suite. Both are running FCP studio 2. One of the macs has a default setting for the drop shadow of 2 in the motion tab. The other mac has the default setting of 10. How can I change the default settings (not as a favorite) so that when I open a clip in the viewer the default setting will always be my preference (1.5) instead of the standard 10. I also want to change the opacity to 90% as the default.

Below is a step-by-step process for changing the default font in CS6, Illustrator, Mac, Mountain Lion, 10.8.2.
There are several additiional steps needed to make this work.

To Change Default Font in CS6-Ai-Mac-Mountain Lion, 10.8.2
On desktop menu bar, hold down Option key, go to GO, pull down to Library.
Open Application Support, ~ Adobe, ~ Adobe Illustrator CS6, ~ en_us ~ New Document Profiles
Six choices appear (you can change each that you use, one at a time)
Example: Double click Basic RGB.ai
A Basic RGB.ai blank document window opens
In Menu Bar, go to Window ~ Type ~ Character Styles
A sub-window opens with (Normal Character Style) highlighted in Blue
Double click the highlighted name and another sub-window opens
In left of this window, choose Basic Character Formats
Change to desired Font Family, Font Style, Size, etc.
Click OK when finished, widow disappears to reveal Character Styles sub-window
Click anywhere on the blank document in order to get option to Save
Save the document
Close Character Styles sub-window
Quit Illustrator
Re-launch Illustrator CS6 ~ New document … check Font tool to confirm changed default font

How do you change the default setting for RTF documents from TextEdit to MS Word, I download forms from the Canadian government and they use RTF as a standard, they are supposed to open as MS Word documents (Yes I have Office for MAC 2011) but when download the document it goes to TextEdit which messes up the form format. I can down load it right click and go "open with" MS Word but how can I get the default chnaged to save this step.

That has nothing to do with styles nor Pages, it is a System/Printer Driver setting.
You can experiment to see if the Printer Settings stick with your document, but in the past this has not worked.

Try setting the check boxes in Edit>Preferences>General for the following:
- Make Hand tool select text & images
- Make Hand tool read articles
- Make Hand tool use mouse-wheel zooming
Adjust these as needed but does it make any difference?

I'd opened file with the 'Open with' feature then clicking Adobe Reader,
but that didn't do it. When I used 'Open with', then 'Choose default

All tool icons EXCEPT Replace(Ins) show "Tool Default Properties" as an option when right-clicked. When I right-click a particular replacement in the document and select "Properties," there is no option to set current as default.

Hi Hannah,
Inspector > Text > Tabs Button > Tab Settings > Default Tabs.
To set a tab stop on the go, click in the ruler.
If you can't see the ruler, Menu > View > Show Rulers.
To set tab stops for lines (paragraphs) you have already typed, select those paragraphs and set them all at once.
Also, have a look at Menu > Pages > Preferences > Rulers.

On my MacBook Pro, I have a 250 GB solid state drive. More than 140 GB of that space is taken up by images and video in my iPhoto folder. I want to purchase an external hard drive to store my iPhoto media so I can free up space on my Mac's hard drive. I can drag and copy the images/video to the new external hard drive, but in the future how can I change the default location to the new external device? I looked at iPhoto preferences, but see no setting that would re-direct media from my camera. Please help.

Copy the library to the external hard drive. Then launch iPhoto with the option key held down and choose the library on the external hard drive.
Run the external library to make sure it has all of your photos and works as expected. It will not be your default library.
Once you're sure the external library is good you can delete the library on the SSD.

Create a new document and change the settings to what you want i.e. Times New Roman, 12 pt. and save as a template from the Edit menu. Then go to Pages Preferences (Cmd +,) and under general change the template to open to your saved template that you want as your default setting.
