How do I change the firefox appdata path

Hi, I'm usually answering, but today I need an answer. My school are looking to get firefox, but we have a problem. To lock preferences, we're using addons. The problem is that we have active directories etc setup, so each user has their own appdata. Now we need one of 3 things so that we can lock down:
1. A default appdata folder - a way to set firefox so everybody that uses our firefox uses one profile (run is disable, no profile manager)
2. A way to disable the firefox addon lock down by default. I found the extensions folder in the install directory, but when a new user uses firefox, it asks if they want to install the addon. That would mean if the user clicks no, they can bypass our proxy etc.
3. Setup firefox so every time a new USER (notice user, not profile) uses firefox for the first time, their account grabs settings from somewhere else.
Most importantly, this needs to be suitable in a school environment. People have already took advantage out of our old proxy system, we've got a new one on it's way. Some people break the law just to go on Facebook at school. This can't be a vulnerable system. Unless of course you need access to the C partition to exploit it, GPO stops that.

If you lock a pref then it is impossible to change such a pref on the <b>about:config</b> page.

You can compare a copy of prefs.js before and after having changed a setting to see which pref(s) to lock.

Hello,
Make sure that you have created the directory in transaction code AL11 with the help of basis consultants.
You can link your PC directory to the application server.
You can maintain the path whether your file needs to get saved in OBPM4 against your DMEE structure example GB_BACS etc.
If you do not maintain any path in OBPM4, then the file gets saved to temporary directory. If you give the directory path name in OBPM4, then the file gets saved to that directory with numbers 0001, 0002, 0003 etc till it reaches 9999 and reset from the beginning.
If you give the path as well as file name as ABCD, then the file gets generated to that directory folder with ABCD0001, ABCD0002, ABCD0003 etc. till it reaches ABCD9999 and reset from the beginning.

How can I change the log file path instead of storing log in server.log

I have created one domain and modified the attribute "log-file" in element "virtual-server" element to point to the new log file path.
But when I start up my domain, it still saying: "Log redirected to DOMAIN_LOCATION/logs/server.log.
Why?
Why it doesn't log to the file I specify? How can I change it?

I have changed the logging option to my specific path in admin console as what you said. I have also changed the logging in domains attribute too.
But still there is some logging info in domains/<dom_name>/logs/server.log instead of the path and file I specified.
Is it possbily related to linux user role setting? the Sunone AS is installed and configured by root user. But the domain is created for another user, hence I want to forward all logging info to that user's home path.

Just type ''about:config'' into your browser
ui.textSelectBackgroundAttention is the entry you want to modify. Just add the hex value of the color you want.
If that entry isn't there, you can create it.

hello,
i looked, but cannot find where to change the default save location ( c:\users\ . . . .) that lumira uses.
i need to be able to select a location on my hard drive. is this possible?
the save field has a find option. when i click on it, nothing happens. has this option worked for anyone?

We have in our company (130 000 employees) a global Hana implementation going on and we would like to use Lumira for our frontend financial reporting. However I would need to know the timeline when can Lumira deliver fallowin reporting needs: We want to have current monthly financial figures from Hana views straight from the source.The historical data we would show using existing Bex queries. And In the lumira we would like to smash up historical data and the Hana view current data all together. The users would access this with the BI launchpad and with single sign on, they would just press one button and refresh the BW query data, plus hana view data from one report. My question is: When would this be possible in Lumira ? Atleast what I have understood, is that BW queries (exit variables, time dependent hierarchies, variants) is not yet supported. However when I was in teched in berlin 2014 november, Lumira developers told me that end of March 2015, this would be available. The General tab, Temporary Internet Files, of the Java Control Panel allows this to be set.
I suspect that Vista's Security/ALC will be upset if you mode it to a different security zone, however.

Is FF downloading the file as a .txt file? If so, go to "Folder Options" in the windows control panel. Click on the "File Types" tab. Scroll down until you reach the TXT file extension. Look to see what that extension opens with (lower part of panel). It probably shows notepad. Click on the <Change> button. Scroll down until you find "Microsoft Word." Select it and click the <OK> button. That should show the TXT extension is now associated with Microsoft Word. Click the <Close> button at the bottom of the panel.
If FF is downloading the file as any other type, use the same process as above except look for the corresponding extension instead. If the extension is not listed click on the <New> button and create an association using the extension in the file name and then associate it with MS Word.

I had creative cloud for a while. Today i changed the default installing folder, from the creative cloud settings/prefferences(can't remember) menu, from C to D. Then i uninstalled all the programs from adobe cs6 to take the new cc programs. When i want to reinstall adobe creative cloud it is installing on D and since there is no operating sistem on D i can't install the creative cloud. It keeps installing on D. How can i change the default path of installation if i uninstalled creative cloud?

Or how can I change the prefered installation folder that can be changed from creative cloud menu/prefferences when i have uninstalled creative cloud?

When starting the silent installation the JRE is correctly installed into this path but the Java Webstart installation procedure doesn't care about this path and installs JWS in 'D:\Programme\Java Web Start'.

I did nothing to change them, but after the event tried to change them using "preferences-Fonts"which had no effect. ATT seems to have made a change in their email.
