How do I combine text with numerical data in an array?

I an acquiring analog data in real time, and I am able to create, output, and save the data, but I would like to place comments next to specific measurements. How do I do that in Labview 7.0 Express? I can place numbers at in a column next to my measurements, but i cannot cobine text and numbers into one array to save and read with excel... Thank you!

I would suggest you to use some other BAPI that would attach your text to BP than SAVE_TEXT.
If you still wanted to use SAVE_TEXT then first make sure how the TDNAME is generated. It depends on the text determination procedure. For examples, it can be guid of BP, GUID followed by date or time or else the BP number itself.
Just go to BP transaction, double click on the text pad, it will open you the SAP Script editor. Click on menu GOTO and select Header which will give you info about your TDID, TDOBJECT, TDNAME....

i have a text file with numerical data in three columns,(first i need to skip the few lines of text within the file above the three column of data values)then i need to convert the numerical values above "-999" to zero,then take the average of each 500 values in the first column (second and third colum needs the same operation separately),thus found average values are to be stored into a text file and finally plotted in a graph separately. i need to update this table everytime i execute the data. Every time version shd get incremented when i execute the program. When i excute the program next day version shd be updated by '1'.
i wrote the code for version updated i'm not getting the logic how to put a check with the date.

You need to implement below logic:
1. check if field_date = sy-datum. in this case do nothing.
2. else . move sy-datum to field_date .
3. modify your internal table with field_date .
4. populate final table to database table .

How to load the text to Masster data

Hi Experts,
I am not able to load the text for master data.
We have postal code(0POSTALCODE) Master data InfoObject , in this we have field called Prizm, it's 'Z' field (ZPRIZM).
I would like to load the description for this filed(text), for example we have 1 to 50 prizm code,for all the call the prizm code I need to add the description.
Postal code master data has flat file data load and it has attribute but not the text.
Can anyone help me out in this.

ZPRIZM is attribute of Postal code master data InfoObject , As you advice to click on With Text check box, I clicked on that I am able to see the text table name as /BI0/TPOSTALCODE but When I am checking the object, I am getting the warning message.

Reporting Services is used for rendering the report with data retrieved from datasource. In Reporting Services, we can retrieve data from the datasource then design a report, after the report processed, data is fixed on the report. So it’s not supported
to have the end users selection and do summary. For your requirement, it’s can’t be achieved currently.

How to fill internal table with no data in debugging mode

I modified one existing program.Now I want to test it.I am not given test data.So in the middle of my debugging, I found that one internal table with no data.My problem is how to fill that internal table with few records in that debugging mode just as we change contents in debugging mode.If I want to proceed further means that internal table must have some records.
Please I dont know how to create test data so I am trying to create values temporarily in debugging mode only.

In the debugging do the following..
Click the Table button..
Double click on the internal table name..
Then in the bottom of the screen you will get the buttons like CHANGE, INSERT, APPEND, DELETE..
Use the APPEND button to insert records to the internal table..

I would like to have a little help from you. My goal is to create a view where data must be in appropriate format. In this format i would like to have for each group one header.
I have 3 tables which they ar connected to each other (representing hierachical data where financial plan breaks across different groups).

View will be used in oracle form where will be possible to edit data - I will arrange that through insted of trigger.

One way is to do a UNION of 2 separate queries: (1) to generate just the parent rows, (2) to generate just the child rows.
You could also join the 2 tables and use GROUP BY GROUPING SETS. The super-aggregate rows would be the parent rows.

I want disable this feature because I write a program that process (encrypt) and copy every element recursively , I used chain encryption algorithm that mean if one bit change or shift all result will be wrong
when I encrypt, for example count 323 run in one textelement but after encryption and when I want decrypt in same textelement I just get 322 run, I think this problem caused by PDFEdit combines text.

Pdfedit can and often will write a completely different set of operators. It converts the operators to an object representation, then wites opererators for the objects. you cannot stop this, it is what it is supposed to do.

bro it is not working on string format coz of the missing quotes. e.g. 'smith' or smith. so the quoted string will be compared. in set_block_property u have to include extra quotes on the variable. e.g.
set_block_property('emp',default_where,'where ename='''||:emp.ename||'');
or with conditional statement
set_block_property('emp',default_where,'where ename='''||:emp.ename||''' and dname='''||dept.deptno||'');
there i included two extra qoutes before joining ename and in the an extra quote to complete to string. if u would like to debug at runtime to show if the qouted string condition is proper then assign the where clause to a variable and message it up.
like
myvariable:='where ename='''||:emp.ename||'';
message(myvariable);
message(myvariable);

after the string is quoted properly the execute query will work fine, also use the function upper or lower to compare strings.

i have created the button from webdynpro library(i dotn have 2 separate native and activex libraries at all)
