How do I create global settings for Firefox 6.0.2. deployment?

Hello everyone,
I hope someone can help. I'm getting very frustrated that Firefox 6.0.2 is not enterprise deployment friendly. Basically, I want to create a 6.0.2. software package that allows me to do the following:
1. set the home page for current and existing users
2. disable ALL updates
3. disable the "you're almost there page"
4. disable automatic updates
5. disable "check for updates" when clicking on the Firefox help "about" menu
I read all of the online documentation to create a prefs.js file and place it in c:\program files\mozilla firefox\default\. The settings don't get carried over for existing or new users. Each individual user profile can't be modified as this version is going out to 1100 workstations. Firefox 6.0.2. automatically upgrades to version 8 which isn't ideal due to some in-house plugins not being compatible.
I've tried other things such as channel-prefs.js, local-settings.js, lock prefs, mozilla.cfg, user-pref.js, user-chrome.css.... Absolutely nothing.... Very frustrated. Can anyone shed some light as to what I may be doing wrong?
The next thing was to create an alloborate script that copies the prefs.js file and find every single Firefox user profile on a machine and overwrite it. This is not ideal.
Any thoughts or comments are greatly appreciated.

I have downloaded the suggested add-on (gmarks-1.0.3.3-fx.xpi) but could not open and install it. Then I tried to install it by dragging and dropping it to the FF window. It installed and I restarted FF as instructed but it did not work.
Incidentally, I found the problem solved earlier, one week ago by thalgas on a similar problem ( unable to sign in from google toolbar) posted by giantjudge. The solution worked for me. His solution is as follows:

If you go to Settings > Notes > Default Account you will see "On My iPhone" as the default account and the only choice if you have not enabled syncing Notes in Settings >iCloud or Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars. If you have enabled syncing you can still select "On My iPhone" as the default account. When you are in the Notes app you won't see any accounts listed if you have not enabled syncing because they are all in the On My iPhone account and that is the only place possible. It is not a folder that you create.

Transfer global settings for Fiscal year

There are two entries are posted for Fiscal year in R/3.. In BW side, I know that replicate transfer global settings is good option to get R/3 data for the Fiscal year.. here there is no fiscal year option.. but there is fiscal year variant options.. i want to know how can i replicate global settings by which option and which mode should use.....

I doubt if we have such option for Fiscal variant. I maybe wrong.
But try to get the data for Fiscal Variant in a flat file and load it to BW.
or
Check the the table T009B if the Fisc variant is Updated.
If not, there must be some option for that.

Remember any restoring of bookmarks overwrites whatever he current set is, and you may not want to loose them.
Even if up until now you have not made any backups of Desktop bookmarks Firefox will have backed up some of them into sets of daily bookmark backups. Once you have backed up your current set you could look at what it has by restoring those bookmarks, you may find one of those sets is fairly complete.
By the way if you look at the profile files and folders that you should now have on the desktop you should see it contains a bookmarks backup folder, the size of the files within should indicate whether they contain anything.
You need to go into the bookmarks library and try the restore option. Backup each set that you look at if it has anything of use in it, before trying the next set. With look one of those will be a fairly complete set of bookmarks.

I do not use Firefox on mobiles, but before you try anything further you do need to backup the desktop bookmarks and learn what existing backups you have. Unless you master that you are in continual danger of overwriting and loosing bookmarks.

ATP Buckets of Global settings for Availability check

I have changed the Bucket Parameters and activated ATP time series in Global Settings for Availability Check in Devolpment Server.
I try to transport these settings but ATP Buckets (Active) are not transprting to the Quality.
Please give your suggestions , how to transport these settings to the quality and prodction envirorment?

There is a requirement before you transfer changes to ATP bucket paramters .

Make sure that the updating of ATP time series is activated in Quality and also in production system.
You set this indicator in Model and Planning Version Management from the SAP Easy Access screen by choosing Master Data -> Planning Version Management -> Model and Version Management.

How do I restore the settings for apps using Time Machine?

I believe there are problems with items within the Library Folder inside the System Folder. For example, there are two "Frameworks" Folders, but one has "(from old Mac)" after its name. I dare not try to remove or even move either.
Back in the day of OS 9, you could modify something, then search for it by "Last Modified" Date, and find where Apple has hidden itscontents. It's not so easy in OS X. I've had some success using Pondini's Time Machine FAQ's, though. Here is how I got to this problem:
Our family MacBook died. After getting a repair estimate of $500 to $700 "if it's the Logic Board," we decided to replace it. We purchased a MacBook Pro running Lion. (Later, we brought it to an Apple Store and were quoted $435 in house or $280, but they would have to send it out. Incredible repair: Logic Board, Top & Bottom Case, Super Drive, Battery, all for $280. No wonder they're #1). I pulled the Hard Dive out, erased it, and installed an older operating system, but during the repair they installed 10.6.
Restored the MBP from the TM backup of the MacBook. OK
The Macbook is repaired and the store showed me how to restore the data from the TM backup.
Restart and the passwords do not work due to restoring a 10.6 machine from a 10.7 backup.
Tech support guides me through resetting an admin password using the password utility on the install DVD.
changed the other passwords inside of Accounts in System Preferences. Then changed the password or the other Admin.
Restart, get a circle with a line through it.

Restart, half my Apps do not work.
Tech support says to re-install 10.6.
I did but I thought it would erase and install but it just re-installed 10.6.
Most Apps work, except iPhoto. Mail is OK sending but only receives on one of 3 accounts.
Is there a fix for iPhoto & Mail? If not, I would plan to erase and use the finder to drag the user folders from TM to the MacBook. Can I just drag the Apps too? How about all of the settings for those Apps?

If you don't keep a backup, you can't restore your machine to any state except the state in which you received it, brand new, with none of your own stuff on it. That makes a pretty convincing argument for backing up, doesn't it?

You do not need to create trash cans for individual drives. The trash can on the desktop holds deleted files from all mounted drives.
TimeCapsule manages its own space. If it fills up it will delete older backps to make space for newer ones.

You need to use LiveCycle (PC Only) to create a dynamic form like that.
The best you can do with Acrobat to view all of the text in a field is to set the field to multiline, and set the size to "Auto" (If you don't set the size to 'Auto', you can enter as much text as you wish, but the user will need to use the scrollbar to view all of the text.)

Another thing you can do is to set your Homepage to a website that you have a password logon saved for and use the Master Password feature. It won't completely stop someone else from using the internet but it will slow them down or make it appear they need a password for access.

It is an extension to protect the profile with a password, but being an extension that protection can easily be bypassed by starting Firefox in [[Safe mode]].<br />
So do not rely on it.<br />
If you want to protect content then you have to use methods supported by the OS like a separate user account with a password or an encrypted file system.

The default values are
Em-base : 16px
Row width: 62.5em (62.5em x 16px = 1000px)
Columns per row: 12
These and other default values can be changed. The fact of the matter is that if you stipulate a section width of 2 or 3 or 12 columns, the widths will automatically be calculated for you.
In your case, if you want 7 columns, all you need to do is change the number of columns per row and the rest is done for you.
