How do I declare the extra variable?

List the customer number, name, (first and last), order number, order date, employee number, employee, name (first and last), product number, product name, and order cost, (orderline.qty*prodprice) for products ordered on January 23, 2009
I have no column called order cost in any tables. How do I declare a new variable called order cost in the query? And to date line is missing a right parenthesis. The exact line worked with a different question but accept that I have added on the date in this line.
SELECT C.CUSTNO, C.CUSTFIRSTNAME, C.CUSTLASTNAME, O.ORNO, O.ORDDATE, E.EMPNO, E.EMPFIRSTNAME, E.EMPLASTNAME, P.PRODNO, P.PRODNAME, L.PRODNO, L.QTY, Order_cost
From Customer c, Orders o, ORDERLINE L, Employee e, Product P
where(C.CUSTNO=O.CUSTNO) and(O.EMPNO = E.EMPNO) and (O.ORDNO = L.ORDNO) and (P.PRODNO = L.PRODNO) and Order_cost= (L.QTY*ProdPrice)
and (o.OrdDate >= to_date('23/01/2009', 'dd/'mm/yyyy') and o.OrdDate <= add_months(to_date('23/01/2009','dd/'mm/yyyy'),+1)-1);
Thanks.

Format your code so that it's easy to see (among other things) that
(1) the arguments to TO_DATE match each other, and
(2) parentheses are balanced.
For example:
SELECT      C.CUSTNO
,      C.CUSTFIRSTNAME
,      C.CUSTLASTNAME
,      O.ORNO
,      O.ORDDATE
,      E.EMPNO
,     E.EMPFIRSTNAME
,     E.EMPLASTNAME
,     P.PRODNO
,     P.PRODNAME
,     L.PRODNO
,     L.QTY
,     L.QTY * ProdPrice     AS Order_cost
From      Customer     c
,     Orders           o
,     ORDERLINE     L
,     Employee     e
,     Product          P
where     (C.CUSTNO     = O.CUSTNO)
and     (O.EMPNO      = E.EMPNO)
and      (O.ORDNO      = L.ORDNO)
and      (P.PRODNO      = L.PRODNO)
and      (o.OrdDate      >= to_date ( '23/01/2009'
                       , 'dd/'mm/yyyy'          -- WRONG!  Look at alignment
and      o.OrdDate      <= add_months ( to_date ( '23/01/2009'
                              , 'dd/'mm/yyyy'     -- WRONG!  Look at alignment
                          , +1
                          ) -1
)                    -- Extra right parentheses

  • How to SIMPLY use the %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variables into logic scripts

    hello,
    I'm using a prompt of type "COPYMOVE" or "COPYMOVEINPUT". In this type of prompt, there are 2 columns of dimension members list, one for defining the "source zone" and one for defining the "target zone" of logics.
    The left colum of the prompt (for source zone) feeds the variables %DIMENSION_SET% : %ACCOUNT_SET%, %ENTITY_SET%, %CATEGORY_SET%, etc...and these variables can be used in the logic scripts in *XDIM_MEMBERSET instructions for example.
    The right colum of the prompt feeds the variables %DIMENSION_TO_SET% : %ACCOUNT_TO_SET%, %ENTITY_TO_SET%, %CATEGORY_TO_SET%, etc...and I don't know how to SIMPLY use these variables in the logic scripts.
    I've found a tricky way to do that but I meet 2 problems :
    - it is complicated
    - the multi-info instruction (BEGININFO/ENDINFO) seems to be bugged as blank lines are added all the time in the code and sometimes I have to wait for minutes when I try to modifiy the package code through BPC for excel eData/modify package menu.
    So the question is how to SIMPLY get the %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variables into logic scripts and use them ? Thanks, R.
    Here is the tricky package code I use at this time (I build one function for each %DIMENSION_TO_SET% variable and I pass these functions to the logic) :
    PROMPT(COPYMOVE,,,,"ACCDETAIL,ACCOUNT,CATEGORY,DATASRC,ENTITY,TIME,YEARS")
    TASK(Execute formulas,USER,WS-WW\PlauchuR)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APPSET,US)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APP,SV)
    TASK(Execute formulas,SELECTION,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV\PrivatePublications\PlauchuR\TempFiles\FROM_1561_.TMP)
    TASK(Execute formulas,TOSELECTION,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV\PrivatePublications\PlauchuR\TempFiles\TO_1561_.TMP)
    BEGININFO(%FSS%)
    *FUNCTION TARGETACCDETAIL=%ACCDETAIL_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETACCOUNT=%ACCOUNT_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETCATEGORY=%CATEGORY_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETDATASRC=%DATASRC_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETENTITY=%ENTITY_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETTIME=%TIME_TO_SET%
    *FUNCTION TARGETYEARS=%YEARS_TO_SET%
    ENDINFO
    TASK(Execute formulas,FORMULASCRIPT,%FSS%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICFILE,D:\BPC\Data\WebFolders\US\SV
    ..\AdminApp\SV\_TEST.Lgf)
    TASK(Execute formulas,RUNMODE,1)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICMODE,1)

    hello,
    finally I've discovered that there is no need of BEGININFO instruction.
    One can pass several functions to a logic with one FORMULASCRIPT task. The functions definitions have to be separated by instructions. See below :
    PROMPT(COPYMOVEINPUT,%FTARGETS%,,"select source and target zone for category and datasource.","ACCDETAIL,ACCOUNT,CATEGORY,DATASRC,ENTITY,TIME,YEARS")
    TASK(Execute formulas,FORMULASCRIPT,*FUNCTION TACCDETAIL=%ACCDETAIL_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TACCOUNT=%ACCOUNT_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TCATEGORY=%CATEGORY_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TDATASRC=%DATASRC_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TENTITY=%ENTITY_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TTIME=%TIME_TO_SET% *FUNCTION TYEARS=%YEARS_TO_SET%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,USER,%USER%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APPSET,%APPSET%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,APP,%APP%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,SELECTION,%SELECTIONFILE%)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICFILE,%APPPATH%\..\AdminApp\%APP%\_TEST.LGF)
    TASK(Execute formulas,RUNMODE,1)
    TASK(Execute formulas,LOGICMODE,1)
    Then one will be able to use the functions TACCDETAIL, TCATEGORY, TACCOUNT,... in the logic script.

  • How Can i retain the Shared Variable Values after PC rebooting

    Hi all,
    I am facing a paculiar problem with Shared Variables. I have an application in which shared variables are used for data communication.
    One of the application requirement is to retain the variable values eventhough PC is rebooted or started after crashing.
    As per the my understanding, the variable values will retain eventhough the PC is rebooted. But here i can observe a paculiar problem like some library variables are retaing the values while some others not. I enabled logging for all the variables.
    I tried many ways. like logging enabled, logging disabled, changing variable names, changing process names etc... But i am not getting a consistent behaviour.
    I hope some you can help me in solving this issue.. "How Can i retain the Shared Variable Values after PC rebooting"
    Thanks and Regards,
    Mir

    Hi Blackperl,
    Thanks for the post and I hope your well.
    What do you mean by not getting consistent behaviour.. this will all depend on excatly when the crash happens i.e. before the write or after.
    Surely a better method would be to log the data to a file during the reboot...
    I beleived the value read back
    will be the default value for the shared variable's data type.
    The LabVIEW DSC 8.0 module adds more functionality to the shared variable, including initial values and alarms.
    If you enable an initial value on a shared variable, when the variable
    engine comes back on-line it will default to this value. Setting a bad
    status alarm for the shared variable is also a good way of handling
    this type of event. Additionally, if you are using a LabVIEW Real-Time
    target such as Compact RIO or Compact FieldPoint, it is appropriate to
    consider hosting the shared variable engine on the real-time target.
    These devices have watch-dog capabilities and are typically the
    hardware controlling the critical pieces of an application. Most
    Windows or PC-based targets do not have these fail-safes.
    I guess, if you could explain to me again that would be great. From my point of view, if I have a cRIO and a Windows PC. If the windows PC crashes, the cRIO will still update its shared variables. Then once the PC has started up its own shared variable engine, and the bindings are loaded, it will once again continue to update its copies of the variables.
    Please let me know what you think,
    Kind Regards,
    James.

  • Query in SQL 2008R2 error Msg 1087, Level 15, State 2, Line 31 Must declare the table variable

    Hello Experts,
    Can You help me; I get the follwing error in my query
    Msg 1087, Level 15, State 2, Line 31
    Must declare the table variable "@ASE_SUBART_GROEP".
    the @ASE_SUBART_GROEP is a self-defined table in this SQL environment.
    Maybe you know the error or the missing part
    Thanks in advance, Jos Dielemans

    I'm not familiar with SAP Business One unfortunately, so can only be of limited help here. But I'm going to guess that @ASE_SUBART_GROEP is a table variable passed to a stored procedure and is defined and passed down by the application, so you won't
    be able to copy-paste this code directly into management studio and get it to work.
    You could remove the join to return *all* records. Although the dataset might be very big

    In addition to Visakh's solution: the reason you got the error message is because the piece of dynamic SQL is not part of the stored procedure, but constiutes a scope of its own. Thus variables declared in the surrounding procedure are not visible.
    Also, you should the dynamic SQL this way:
    SET @sql = N'
    SELECT @Result=COUNT( Id ) FROM  ' + quotename(@TableName) +
    ' WHERE RunRegisterKey=@ID'
    SET @Params = N'@Result int OUTPUT, @ID int'
    EXEC sys.sp_executesql @sql,@Params,@Result = @Result OUT, @ID = @ID
    That is, use quotename for the table name, in case you have a table named
    sys.objects; SHUTDOWN WITH NOWAIT; --
    Furthermore, pass @ID as a parameter rather than concatenating it to the string. It is both easier and safer.

    Thanks in Advance

    you cant use variable directly in concatenation operator as its of type int. you need to cast it first as below
    CREATE PROCEDURE spGetPager
    @PageNo int = 1,
    @ItemsPerPage int = 1,
    @Imageid int,
    @TotalRows int out
    AS
    BEGIN
    SET NOCOUNT ON
    DECLARE
    @StartIdx int,
    @SQL nvarchar(max),
    @SQL_Conditions nvarchar(max),
    @EndIdx int
    IF @PageNo < 1 SET @PageNo = 1
    IF @ItemsPerPage < 1 SET @ItemsPerPage = 10
    SET @StartIdx = (@PageNo -1) * @ItemsPerPage + 1
    SET @EndIdx = (@StartIdx + @ItemsPerPage) - 1
    SET @SQL = 'SELECT Imageid,Imagepath,imagename,username
    FROM (
    SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER(ORDER BY Imageid) AS Row, *
    FROM Imageupload ) AS tbl WHERE Imageid=' + CAST(@Imageid AS varchar(50)) + ' AND Row >= '
    + CONVERT(varchar(9), @StartIdx) + ' AND
    Row <= ' + CONVERT(varchar(9), @EndIdx)
    EXEC sp_executesql @SQL
    SET @SQL = 'SELECT @TotalRows=COUNT(*) FROM Imageupload'
    EXEC sp_executesql
    @query = @SQL,
    @params = N'@TotalRows INT OUTPUT',
    @TotalRows = @TotalRows OUTPUT
    END
    That being I didnt understand why you need dynamic sql here. There's no dynamicity involved as i see
     you could simply use a sql like below
    CREATE PROCEDURE spGetPager
    @PageNo int = 1,
    @ItemsPerPage int = 1,
    @Imageid int,
    @TotalRows int out
    AS
    BEGIN
    SET NOCOUNT ON
    DECLARE
    @StartIdx int,
    @EndIdx int
    IF @PageNo < 1 SET @PageNo = 1
    IF @ItemsPerPage < 1 SET @ItemsPerPage = 10
    SET @StartIdx = (@PageNo -1) * @ItemsPerPage + 1
    SET @EndIdx = (@StartIdx + @ItemsPerPage) - 1
    SELECT Imageid,Imagepath,imagename,username
    FROM (
    SELECT ROW_NUMBER() OVER(ORDER BY Imageid) AS Row, *
    FROM Imageupload ) AS tbl WHERE Imageid=@Imageid
    AND Row >= @StartIdx
    AND Row <= @EndIdx
    SELECT @TotalRows=COUNT(*) FROM Imageupload
    END
    to achieve same requirement.

  • Must declare the scalar variable error

    I am getting the error "Must declare the scalar variable "@Result""  when i execute the below query
    declare @sql nvarchar(max),
    @tablename varchar(200),
    @Id int,
    @Result int
    set @tablename='xyz'
    set @id=1
    SET @sql = '
    SELECT @Result=COUNT( Id ) FROM  ' + @TableName+ ' WHERE RunRegisterKey=' +convert(nvarchar(100),@ID)
    EXEC sys.sp_executesql @sql

It is both easier and safer.

    how can we deinitialize the global variable........?

    Re

    As far as i know u do not need any special web item to display the text variable as such. have a analysis item in u r WAD and assign query to the same. Ur variables appear as per the configuration u have made in the query designer. WAD has nothing to do.

    They're not extra transitions. They're content to use with the alpha transition. You import the content into your project  Do you know how alpha transitions work? Read the section in the manual on them.

  • Where is it declared the return variable?

    Hi everyone,
    please which system privileges must you have to recompile a stored procedure owned by another application developer?
    and where is it declared the return variable?
    thank you

    In short you will need ALTER ANY PROCEDURE privilidge for that.
    Lets do a test for this:
    From User A:
    SQL> create table test as select * from user_objects where rownum<10;
    SQL> create procedure test_proc as
    2 begin
    3 delete test;
    4 commit;
    5 end;
    6 /
    Procedure created.
    Now from User Scott:
    alter procedure cr.test_proc compile
    ERROR at line 1:
    ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
    Now connect to user A and do the following:
    1* grant alter any procedure to scott
    SQL> /
    Grant succeeded.
    Now from Scott user:
    alter procedure cr.test_proc compile;
    Procedure altered.
    SQL> show errors
    No errors.
    Thats what you wanted.

  • I get double entries to my calendar when I sync.  How do I delete the extra event.

    I have double entries to my calendar after a sync.  How do I prevent this from hapening and how do I delete the extra events.

    I installed iSync from my SL backup and all went well as it showed up in my applications and when brought up on the screen, launched, I reset the history.
    When trying to sync my calendars again I first uncheck all calendars via iTunes, syncronized and then check the one I wanted and syncronized again. No difference, ended up with many multiples.
    I then searched a little further using spotlight typing in just iSync and a developer file showed up that looks like it is designed to reset the history but no sure. I opened in in Komodo but don't know how to proceed from there.
    Here is the file: Under Usage it seems I could run this file but not sure how to. Could you help with this or am I on the wrong track?
    Thanks

  • How do I access the DCJMS* variables in my response SOAP:Header ?

    Hi all,
    I have set up a sync / async Integration Process in XI
    This is initiated by a SAP R/3 transaction that calls a synchronous function to enter XI
    Once in the Bridge, a JMS receiver adapter sends out an asynchronous request message from XI to MQ
    A correlation allows the JMS sender adapter to return an asynchronous response message from MQ to XI back into my the Integration Process
    I have set up the JMS sender adapter configuration to return the DC (dynamic configuration) variables in the <SOAP:Header> of the XI response message along with the payload
    You can see that the DCJMS* variables are returned below

    <b>Question</b>
    I want to access the DCJMS* variables but am not sure how to go about it as the
    variables exist in the <SOAP:Header>?
    I followed the SAP documentation to access adapter-specific attributes (refer to link http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/14/80243b4a66ae0ce10000000a11402f/frameset.htm )
    I have used the following code to create a user-defined function for the accessing adapter specific attributes (similar to the link)
    public String Get_Msgid(Container container){
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get
    (StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create
    ("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS","DCJMSMessageID");
    String jmsMsgID = conf.get(key);
    return jmsMsgID;
    <b>Question</b>
    Do I use message mapping to extract the DCJMS* variables?
    <b>Question</b>
    If so then which message is used for the source message so that I can access the <SOAP:Header>?  Eg do I use the response message type or is there a trick to accessing the SOAP:Header?
    <b>Question</b>
    Do I use the user-defined function (like above)?
    I performed the following steps
    •     Opened the message mapping in edit mode
    •     Created the user-defined function using the graphical editor
    •     Saved the message mapping
    •     I have not connected the user-defined function to any of the xml tags in either the source or target messages
    When I go to test the message mapping I am getting the following error

    This is JAVA_HOME=C:\j2sdk1.4.2_08 and seems ok
    <b>Question</b>
    Do you know why I would get the compilation error?
    Any assistance would be appreciated

    Jin,
    My compilation issue has gone via a SAP recommendation to specify the JDK home directory in the instance profile
    Back to the mapping - I can now run my scenario
    <b>Source message</b>
    The response message has the following <SOAP:Header> from which I want to extract the DCJMSCorreleationID (note that it's misspelt)
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes" ?>

    <b>Grahpical mapping</b>
    LHS - Response message with occurrance 0..1 so it is not connected to my UDF
    UDF Get_Corrid with no inputs
    RHS - The UDF output is connected to the Acknowledgement msg tag <ACK>
    <b>UDF</b>
    DynamicConfiguration conf = (DynamicConfiguration) container.getTransformationParameters().get
    (StreamTransformationConstants.DYNAMIC_CONFIGURATION);
    DynamicConfigurationKey key = DynamicConfigurationKey.create
    ("http://sap.com/xi/XI/System/JMS","DCJMSCorreleationID");
    String Corrid = conf.get(key);
    return Corrid;
    <b>Target message</b>
    The idea is to copy the correlation id of the response message into the acknowledgement message.  But as you can see the result is NULL
