How do I delete an old icloud id without a password from my imac?
Hi,
Can anyone tell me how I delete an old icloud id from my imac so I can start using my new one. Reason for change was new email address after a change of provider
If your device is signed into an old ID of yours that is an earlier version of the ID you want to sign in with, do the following:
If you are using iMessage and FaceTime, make sure you are signed into these services with your current ID. If they are signed into the old ID, go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive and Settings>FaceTime, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with your current ID.
Then temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. (You should not have to verify the old email account so it doesn’t matter if you no longer have access to it.) Now go to Settings>iCloud, turn off Find My iDevice and enter your current password when prompted (even though it prompts you for the password for your old ID). Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll (unless you are using iCloud Photo Library). When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Sign Out (or Delete Account if you are not running iOS 8) and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign back in with your current iCloud ID and password (your data will download back to your device).

Deleting my old Icloud account, without a password
Basically I changed my email address and have no access to my old one. Easy to change apple ID, but when I go to delete the icloud account on my phone it won't let me as it automatically puts in the old email address and wont accept the password. Basically it says to delete it I have to switch off find my iphone. Which I can't switch off because it won't accept my password as it automatically puts in my old email address. So I try erasing all data from my phone (just resetting settings didn't work). But it won't let me do this either without my password, which it won't accept as it automatically puts in my old email address. Please help!
Go to appleid.apple.com. Change your primary email address/Apple ID back to the old email that you do not have access to. Then, on your device, go to Settings > iCloud and delete account. Make sure to sign out of iTunes/App store as well. Once you have removed the old Apple ID from your phone, go back to appleid.apple.com and change the primary email address/Apple ID to the new email. Just because you no longer have access to an email account does not mean you have to change your Apple ID.

How to delete an old Icloud account without the password??
I have three devices, iphone 5, 4 and IPAD. I recently changed my appleID, and all three devices have the same apple ID (I logged into apple using an apple ID and revised the apple ID and updated my password). The problem is that the icloud account will not display my new appleID, only the old appleID, the appleID displayed can’t be selected or edited. 1) The devices will not let me delete the account(s) without entering a password, but my apple ID password is associated with new appleID, not the old one. Question: How can an old login be removed, deleted or revised from Icloud when it no longer exist??
If the old ID is an earlier version of your current ID, temporarily recreate the old ID by going to https://appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Click edit next to the primary email account, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iDevice, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then save any photo stream photos that you wish to keep to your camera roll. When finished go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Repeat this on your other devices. Next, go back to https://appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

I am trying to delete my old iCloud account without a password
Hi,
I am trying to delete an iCloud account. It sounds easy, but for some reason when I updated my iPad to iOS7, the iCloud reverted back to an old Apple ID that had been deleted and is no longer active (Apple no longer has a record of it when I try to get the email verification to change the password). When I attempt to delete the account (to connect it to my current iPhone iCloud) it requests the Apple ID password for the deleted account.
I tryed to reset the iPad, and delete all the data on the iPad and start fresh, but of course I had the "Find my iPad" function on the iCloud and I need the Apple ID password to turn it off to start the reset. Any suggestions?Go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Tap edit next to the primary email account, tap Edit, change it back to your old email address and save the change. Then edit the name of the account to change it back to your old email address. You can now use your current password to turn off Find My iPhone on your device, even though it prompts you for the password for your old account ID. Then go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account and choose Delete from My iDevice when prompted (your iCloud data will still be in iCloud). Next, go back to https//appleid.apple.com and change your primary email address and iCloud ID name back to the way it was. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.

The email linked to that account is no longer active. How can I delete this old account and use a new one?
Although your profile says you're running iOS 5.1.1 it sounds like you're running iOS 7 (otherwise you would not need your password to delete the old account). Assuming that's true, and your iCloud ID has changed but you need to delete the old account in order to change to your new one, go to https//appleid.apple.com, click Manage my Apple ID and sign in with your current iCloud ID. Now you can go to Settings>iCloud and sign in with your current iCloud ID and password.
