How do I deploy dependent jars in a standalone soa server?

Hi,
I have deployed a webservice on a standalone SOA server. When I try to execute it I see the following message:
faultstring>JBO-25002: Definition oracle.apps.cdm.tcaModel.parties.core.model.publicEntity.PartyPEO of type Entity Definition not found</faultstring>
Dev is saying that we need the dependent jar files on the soa server and has given me some jar files? When I put the jar files in the applib folder, I am not able to restart the webservice.
Can someone help me on how to resolve this with some detailed steps or pointers? Is that the correct location for putting the jar files? Appreciate your help.

Hi,
to me the problem appears that you didn't add the class to the WebService as an additional class to load with the Web Service. At least i JAX-RPC services you can tell the WS configuration which additonal classes are needed. In your case the PartyPEO isn't available (make sure its serializable)

  • Facing issue while deployment on 11.1.1.6 soa server

    Problem Summary
    Facing issue while deployment on 11.1.1.6 soa server
    Problem Description
    We are facing issue while deploying a bpm project over a newly built bps-soa server 11.1.1.6.
    While we are deploying a bpm project, first it is taking around 40mins to create .jar file and then while deploying, it is getting failed with transaction timed out error.
    "composite: Onboarding: javax.ejb.EJBException: Transaction Rolledback.: weblogic.transaction.internal.TimedOutException: Transaction timed out after 301 second".
    we have tried with changing all transaction parameters also like JTA,XA( as similar to our exiting running QA/PROD environment which is on 11.1.1.5) but even then facing the same issue.
    The code were originally build over 11.1.1.5 version, for the first time opening with jdev, code gets migrated and over the upgraded code we did some business specific changes and now trying to deploy over the new server.
    Code is getting successfully compiled and also .jar file is creating properly but while deployment facing error(As shared earlier).
    Also tried to deploy the same .jar file using em consle(to soa-infra) but facing similar issue.

    2 things must be noticed:
    First: ODI 11g is not supported by JDK 7, I always use the JDK1.6.0_27 and works fine. When you try to open the ODI Studio, this message appears, telling that ODI is supported only with JDK 6 versions, so don't try to use JDK 7.
    Second: I always install the JDK in a path without spaces, like "C:\JDK1.6.0_27\" and the excatly same thing to odi install files. So I call via Command Prompt:
    C:\ODI_INSTALL\Disk1\setup.exe -jreLoc C:\JDK1.6.0_27\
    I did over 20 windows installations using these settings, it'll work perfectly.

  • How can I deploy a jar with directory entries using deploy profiles?

    Hi,
    I'm trying to deploy a jar file using deloy profiles, but the jar file deployed contains no directory entry. Why?
    Is it possible to do that using deploy profiles?

    my project looks like this:
    src +
     - test
         +- Main.java
         +- Test.java
    when I create a jar with 'jar -cf‘, I get something like this (with flat folders view):
    META-INF
    test
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
    but when I use deploy profile to deploy a jar, I get this:
    Main.class
    MANIFEST.MF
    Test.class
    The directory entries are missing in the jar file.
    How can I fix this?

    Regards,

    Hi Srinivas,
    There is no need to deploy MapBuilder in an Application Server. You can start it at the command line with for example:
    java -jar mapbuilder.jar -noconnect

    Your question is a bit unclear.
    If you are referring to converting from using JInitiator to JRE, pl see MOS Doc 290807.1 (Deploying Sun JRE (Native Plug-in) for Windows Clients in Oracle E-Business Suite 11i).
    If you are referring to upgrading Java versions for use by EBS, pl see MOS Doc 401561.1 (Using J2SE Version 6 with Oracle E-Business Suite 11i).
    MOS Doc 300482.1 (Overview of Using Java with Oracle E-Business Suite Release 11i) gives an overview of Java usage with 11i.

  • How/where to deploy log4j JAR?

    I am unable to get log4j working with my enterprise application, and am
    wondering if I have the log4j JAR file deployed properly. I am using
    WebLogic 8.1 SP2 with log4j 1.2.8.
    My application is an exploded enterprise application deployed in the
    "applications" directory. The directory structure is as follows:
    applications/
    myEnterpriseApp/
    META-INF/
    myWebApp1/
    myWebApp2/
    I have made the following attempts at deploying log4j-1.2.8.jar and
    log4j.properties:
    Attempt 1:
    - log4j-1.2.8.jar in .../myWebApp1/WEB-INF/lib and in
    .../myWebApp2/WEB-INF/lib
    - log4j.properties in .../myWebApp1/WEB-INF/classes and in
    .../myWebApp2/WEB-INF/classes
    Attempt 2:
    - log4j-1.2.8.jar in .../myEnterpriseApp/APP-INF/lib
    - log4j.properties in .../myEnterpriseApp/APP-INF/classes
    Attempt 3:
    removed all occurrences of log4j-1.2.8.jar and log4j.properties from the
    .../myEnterpriseApp directory tree.
    In all three cases, I see no logging output either to the WL Server console
    or to my defined log file. Nor do I see any thrown ClassNotFoundException
    (expected in attempt 3), so I suspect that log4j is being loaded elsewhere.
    What do I have to do in order to have log4j recognize my log4j.properties
    file?
    Alternately, to what other file(s) can I add my logging preferences?

    Try passing it the path to the properties file as part of the java options in
    your startWeblogic script. eg.
    -Dlog4j.configuration=file:/d:/bea/user_projects/mydomain/log4j.properties

  • Deploy a jar file on remote glassfish server with ant

    Hi!
    I have writing an ant script but I to jam.
    With antcall (+2param) I call one target,
    from this based on a condition I call with an antcall again (+2param) another target,
    My question: the previous params why could not to overwrite.
    Another question: if I make a loop invites the first input target, how can I stop it without that all my threads separated to do.
    Thank You

    Hi!
    I have writing an ant script but I stopped.
    A command with antcall and two parameters
    (<param name="Param1" value="${project.p1}"/>)
    (<param name="Param2" value="${project.p2}"/>) from this based on a condition I call one target,
    <condition property="condition">
    <available file="${deploy.dir}/${Param2}" type="file"/>
    </condition>
    <antcall target="listProjectFiles">
    <param name="Param1" value="${Param1}"/>
    <param name="Param2" value="${Param2}"/>
    </antcall>
    <!--if did not find it, start from begining-->
    <antcall target="listProjectFiles">
    <param name="Param1" value="${Param1}"/>
    <param name="Param2" value="${Param0}"/>
    </antcall>
    My question: the previous params why could not to overwrite in later antcall?
    Another question: if I make a loop invites the first input target(antcall target="1"), how can I stop it without that all my threads separated to do.
    Thank You Again

  • Error deploying JSF project to my standalone OC4J server

  • How to share dependant jars across rars & ears / avoid classcast exceptions

    <b>How can one share dependant jars between a ear application and a resource adapter and avoid getting a ClassCastException? </b>
    <P>
    In some appservers(such as Oracle) the resource adapter is the parent of your ear classloader, so a single instance multiple classloader problem doesn't occur. But in some appservers such as BEA Weblogic this isn't the case. Not sure why BEA decided to make resource adapter class loader seperate and not the parent of ear loader...
    <P>
    If I bundle the resource adapter specific classes in the corresponding module archive file, I will get a class cast exception, becos I will have a <i>single instance and multiple class loader situation</i> (assuming resource adapters uses its own classloader).
    <P>
    Second question related to the above: Web logic documentation recommends that we bundle the common files in APP-INF direcotory for embedded resource adapter apps. If I start bundling the resource adapter in an ear file, for every ear app we will have a rar bundled. What about the JNDI names? won't you have to rename the resource adapter differently for each ear so that there is no jndi name clash? Doesn't this defeat the purpose of having one common connector for all apps?
    <P>
    Here is a detailed description of what I want:
    Let say you have a ear file. Let's say there is a common.jar shared between your ear application (say the ejb module uses it), and your resource adapter.
    <P>
    In the case of Oracle's OC4J I can see there won't be any problem of having this common.jar part of the resource adapter(RA). When the RA class loader loads the rar, it makes sure the common.jar files are accessible in the chain of all class loaders it is a parent of. So, the ear loader, ejb loader etc...will have visibility -> hence no class cast exception.
    <p>
    But what do clients do when they want to have their ear deployable across multiple appservers not just oc4j. BEA recently changed their class loader structure...their resource loader is no longer parent of the ear, so the ejb app in the ear doesn't have visibility into common.jar packaged with rar. So, the only solution was to bundle the common.jar file with the ear. But this causes problems, because we can have a situation where certain object instances (that are not serialized or copied) can be shared across class loaders. This ends up in the single instance multiple class loader situation->hence classcastexception.
    <p>
    The only solution I found was to make the common.jar file a shared library. That way only one copy of the class files are there for both the rar and the ear and its visibility is there not only for rar but for ear since it is loaded by the system class loader or shared library class loader (if ther eis one such).
    <P>
    Please convey best practise recommendation.

    Is there a way to have a non-EJB jar at the EJB classloader level ? Sure, just add it to the Class-Path: manifest entry in your ejb.jar.

  • How to deploy custom jar (forms PJC)  file in R12.1.x

    Hi ,
    we need use forms pjc connecting to client pc'com port with ebs form,
    we can deploy with ias standard form server , but EBS 's appsweb.cfg
    was automatically generated by AutoConfig , so i don't know how to config our jar in EBS env.
    i had search document in metalink for serval days , can some help us to solve this problem !
    thanks for any help...
    BR,Nolem

    Hi all, I am confronted by the same problem.
    I have manually added my custom Jar files to the archive=2 section of the appsweb.cfg config file in the $INST_TOP/ora/10.1.2/forms/server and placed the Jar files in the $COMMON_TOP/java/classes/oracle/apps/fnd/jar.
    I know that this is probably not the way to go, as autoconfig will override these settings, but my first priority is getting these jar files to run in Apps Forms without errors. I got as far as that my forms don't error out anymore but not all of them are working as they should. I am also trying to deploy the WebUitl utility in EBS R12. As far as I can tell this should be supported by Oracle as it comes as part of a standard Apps Installation (except for the Jacob.jar) it can be found in: $ORACLE_HOME/forms/webutil directory and the WEBUTIL_CONFIG reference to the webutil.cfg file can be found in the default.env in the same directory as the appsweb.cfg.
    If you want to look at some very good examples of PJC's there is a very good blog: http://forms.pjc.bean.over-blog.com/. You can also look at Francois Degrelle's blog on Read/Write files on the client machine without Webutil.
    Nevertheless information on how to deploy and run these PJC's under EBS is scarce. Metalink offers no solutions except very outdated notes.
    I would appreciate to know how to properly deploy these jar files in EBS
    I am also on 12.1.x. Btw there are more threads on this subject on OTN but most are outdated (threadID=1067917, 686329, 4246525) and don't provide the solution for EBS R12.1.x.
    Any help would be appreciated.

  • How to deploy Qaaws queries and Xcelsius in multi server architecture

    Hi Experts ,
    I have developed a very good looking dashboard which uses qaaws queries (Dev ) to get the data in to it . I have deployed these qaaws queries to another server (UAT ) using deploy option in Query as a Web service . But still the webservice URL pointing to my DEV server .
    Also , I saved my xcelsisu file to the BO platform (in DEV) and then I imported this file in to my UAT server using import wizard . Now I opened this xcelsius file in the UAT server . In datamanager , Still I can see my webservice URL's pointing to DEV server .
    How can I deploy Qaaws and Xcelsius in a mult server Architecture . We have different servers for each environment ( Dev, INT,UAT , PRD )
    Need some one help to getout of this problem .
    Please note that my output of Xcelsius is in PDF file .
    Many thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Dirasa

    There are several options, and an approach to make the QaaWS services environment independent
    1. When you use the QaaWS clinet builder and use the option to Copy to another server, you'll need to select the Advanced Parameters button on the 1st screen and change the server environment referernce.
    2. QaaWS services can be captured adn moved with the import wizard and Bair files.  You may want to  consider this option if you also want to capture adn contriol the QaaWS defintions for change,manangement, release management and source code control and rollback.  Moving to an new BusinessObjects environment  with Import wizard may require changnig the server environment reference with the AqqWS client connected to the target environement after it is moved.
    We have found an approach to make the QaaWS data connections in Xcelsius BO environment indendent and relatively referenced, so when you move Xcelsius dashboards sourced with QaaWS between BO environements you don't need to redefine the data connection in Xcelsius
    In Xcelsius data connections, after you paste the QaaWS WSDL on the definition tab, and import the Web Service URL field is populated with a full web service URL path http://BusinessObjectsServer/dswsbobje/qaawsservices/queryasaservice
    We have found the after the import you can edit  the web service URL and remove the BO server reference at the beginning and start it with /dswsbobje/qaawsservices/queryasaservice .
    Xcelsius dashboards in the BOE with QaaWS data connections still works to supply data to the dashboard.  When the dashboard run the BOE must assume that without an explict server reference, that it must be the current BO environment.  Another advantage of this approach is it avoids the need for a crossdomain.XML file on the BO web server.

  • How to deploy the project into my weblogic Application Server?

    How do I deploy the project into my weblogic Application Server? Should it be fine if I copy the project folder to the AS root?
    Also, How should i invoke the Context sensitive help from Javascript assuming project  deployed to Weblogic AS.
    I am using Robohelp 10.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
    You generate the help and then you copy the generated output to the server.
    For context sensitivity, which output are you using? Try the following
