How do I find out how many GB's are left on my MacBook Pro?

I just bought mine a week ago or so and I recently transferred all my files over to it. So, I was wondering to how much space I left on it, but I can't for the life of me find that information. It's the only thing so far about my old PC that's not better with my Mac.

Welcome to Apple Discussions!
You can look in the System Profiler (>About this Mac>More Info>Hardware>Serial-ATA). It will be in the hard drive information.
You can also have it displayed on your desktop by the hard drive icon. Click on the desktop to get into Finder, and then click on "View" in the menu bar. Go to "View Options". Check the "Show Item Info" box. You can select the text size and if you want the info on the bottom or to the right.
Good luck!

How do you find out how many views and downloads a podcast has had?

Your question may be better placed in the "Producing Podcasts" forum instead of here in iTunes for Windows.
I assume though (I don't produce Podcasts), that the host server (where the Podcast is downloaded from) has the option of providing that information to the Podcast's producers.
    Two points though;
That information is likely to only be available to the producers of that Podcast, not to listeners (or competitors)
It's almost certainly an add-on service, that needs to be paid for, in addition to the hosting service.
If it's your Podcast, check with the host service that you use.

    Hi,
Maybe you found out already. I stumbled upon the solution by chance. Select all your notes (Command + A), then look under 'Window' in the Menu: there's the number of Notes you got.

  • How do I find out how much space OSX and applications are taking up on my HDD?

I am thinking of moving my OS and all applications to a SSD to free up space on my MBP.
My question is how do I find out how much space OSX and installed applications are taking up on my HDD so I know how big the SSD needs to be?  Also, what is the best way to move these files across to the new SSD once installed?
    Many thanks,
    Andrew.

If you do command-click or right click on your hard drive and select get info, it will tell you how full the HD is.

I replaced my internal drive with a SSD for performance reasons a few months ago. There are a number of ways to move your files over to the new SSD. I am a fan of the clean install, which might take a bit more time and effort but results in a very fast and trouble free mac. An easy way to do this if you are replacing your internal drive is to put the old drive in an external drive enclosure. Then you install the new SSD and install mavericks on it. In my case I used Diskmaker X to make a Mavericks installer (DiskMaker X (formerly Lion DiskMaker) . Then you can reinstall your apps from scratch, and finally move your documents over from the external drive.
