How do I find out the size of a file, trying to make a DVD and told the fil

Made a slide show project with music and trying to write to dvd. Computer tells me the file is to large and to use a dual sided disk. I cut may slides out but no luck. How do you find out the file size?

Hi
And SlideShows has a limit of 99 slides per show.
I rather assemble mine in iMovie HD 6 where as QuickTimeKirk states
it only has Time as a limit dep. on encoding method selected and if Single or Double layer DVDs
Single Layer (for DL double time) - TIME includes menu - keeping it simple gives more to movie.
(I prefere "Brushed Metal" no audio, no animation.)
• Professional Quality (movies up to 120 min.) - BEST
• Best Performances (movies less than 60 min.) - High quality on final DVD
• High Quality (in iDVD08) / Best Quality (in iDVD6) (movies up to 120 min.) - slightly lower quality than above

Attempt to restore your iOS device two more times. If the issue is still unresolved, the device may need service.
The "device may need service" means a hardware problem. In that case make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store.

  • How do I find out what is using up all my data at 3 different times of the day?

At exactly the same time, 3 times a day something on my computer is using up all my data allowance.  Any suggestions on how to determine what is doing that?  I have turned off Windows update to manual.

With Windows, Msconfig in diagnostic startup. If the problem goes away, use selective startup to isolate system services or startup items as the problem group. Once you know which group you can use the tab to enable individual programs in the group then restart to test for the problem. Don’t forget to use Normal Startup in Msconfig to return the system to normal. If you find the problem program, either uninstall it or use the program’s configuration to fix it.

  • Film won't render. Error is like: error in frame 3490. How do I find out what is wrong? How can i find the frame numbers?

    Hello
Who can help me? I made a movie in Final Cut. Not a special one, some text and that's all. With scenes from mu Sony camera, I imported. When i want to share the movie (to facebook, youtube, or masterfile), it won't work. It loads upto 57% or so and that it quits, and gives error code:
the operation could not be completed because an error occurred when creating frame 3490 (error -1).
And now? I can't find framenumbers? How can i find out what's wrong. I tried everything. The film plays well in playback. I just can't make a filmfile.
    Xandra Storm

Like Tom said, you can locate the offending frame by switching in Preferences->General the Time Display to "Frames" (that is how it looks in 10.1; I believe that in older versions the same preference might be in Edit or Playback preferences, I can't recall exactly).
When this error occurs, it can usually be solved by deleting render files, or by replacing the clip where the problematic frame happened.

  • How can I find out what is on my macbook and not on my other macs that results in continual downloads from the satelite dish and resulting overcharges?

How can I find out what is on my macbook  that results in continual usage and usage charges from the satelite dish when turned on, even in the middle of the night- which doesn't happen with my other macs?

I have BusyCal installed, but no alarms that I could find.
However, I do think I've found the source of the sound: the Firefox add-on "LiveJournal." It routinely checks my LJ and plays a "ding.wav" file whenever there are new posts to my Friends' page. I noticed that the sound started happening more frequently, but after I closed Firefox, it stopped. But since Firefox didn't have any sound/notification settings on its own, I thought to check the extensions, and voila!
I'm pretty sure the problem is solved, but who knows if the sound will mysteriously return...

I got the hard drive upgrade kit and now have the old drive in the On-The-Go-Pro external enclosure and the new drive in the Macbook Pro. I booted from the old drive and now I'm ready to restore to the new drive using Disk Utility but I'm not sure exactly what to select as the Source and Destination.
Three disks are listed in the left frame. The new Samsung disk, the old drive in the OTGPro external enclosure with a volume called "Macintosh HD" and something called "disk 2" with a volume of Mac OS X Base System under it.
I think I should select "Macintosh HD" as the source and the Samsung Drive as the destination. But I'm not certain.
What's the correct source and destination?

  • How can I find out if my iphone has been synced to another computer? (Backup/Sync Privacy)

So it would seem easy for someone (lets just say a girlfriend for example) to plug my iPhone into her computer while I am staying the night and backup to iTunes.  I have my settings to "require a passcode immediately", however there was one day there was access to my passcode at her place while I was not there. So my question is three-fold:
    - How can I find out if my iphone has synced with another computer/iTunes (possible history in the iPhone)?
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
One reason I ask this is because earlier this year her phone was backed up to my iTunes on accident.  I did not know it was there until months later, but was able to access it with software.
    Thanks!

You don't.  Nothing gets stored on the iPhone about what computers the device has been backed up to.
    - Are there additional privacy settings to make sure no one can backup my iPhone by plugging it into their iTunes?
Yes, it's called a passcode lock.
    - If it has been backed up to another computer is there anything that can be done.
No.  You might consider changing your Apple ID password to be on the safe side, though, as well as your security questions.

  • How do i find out my iPhone's original purchase date?

I bought it used from eBay and don't know when the owner bought it. It has warranty util July 21 and i want to extend it, so i want to buy AppleCare. One AppleCare it says it will extend the warranty for two year since the original purchase date. So how do i find out if i can buy AppleCare for my iPhone or not and how long would it cover my iPhone for?

You don't need to know the original purchase date (though it will be one year prior to the date of warranty expiration). You have until July 21st, the day when the warranty expires, to purchase and register an AppleCare plan, presuming you can still find the original plan. Apple no longer sells that plan; they sell only AppleCare+ which has to be purchased at or within 30 days of the original purchase. But some dealers still have the retail AppleCare for iPhone package available.
If you can find and register the original AppleCare, it will be in effect until July 20th, 2013.
    Regards.

Notice it says year 2010, etc.
    Thanks for any help.

Sorry but no; there is no online method and no one at Apple could tell you. There are millions of cards sold, from hundreds of vendors, so there's no way Apple could link the card to the purchaser (and even if they could they probably for privacy reasons couldn't tell you).
You'll have to contact your friends and relatives and ask.
    Regards.

  • How can you find out what generation your iPod touch is?

How can you find out what generation your iPod touch is?

    Hi,
Here is help for the operating system:
If you are locked to iOS 3 then you have an iPod Touch 1st Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 4 then you have an iPod Touch 2nd Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 5 then you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
If you are locked to iOS 6 then you have an iPod Touch 4th Gen.
If you can get iOS 7 and have an iPhone 5 sized screen [bigger] you have the current iPod Touch 5th Gen.
I assume since it says you have iOS 5.1.1 you have an iPod Touch 3rd Gen.
Also, you may want to sync it so iTunes can tell you or you can look at the model number on the back.
    Hope this helped.

That's all nonsense. Most people don't post anything if they don't have any problems. People who do have problems usually have very specific reasons for them that they have caused themselves.

how do i find out my securety quetions

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then the steps half-way down this page give you a reset link on your account : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you will need to contact iTunes Support / Apple to get the questions reset.
Contacting Apple about account security : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5699
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down the HT5312 link above to add a rescue email address for potential future use
