How do I find out what Package a class is in

I am trying to find out what Package the classes XMLNode and XMLInterface are located in. Is there a way to search for a class to find out what package it is held in ?
Quite often I see example code but spend wore time working out what package the class is in than actually writing code. Am I being really stupid ? (Don't answer that !!)
Many thanks for any tips
Dan

you can find the class path by searching the $JAVA_TOP directory.
Login to apps server.
cd $JAVA_TOP
find . -name "Classname.class"

  • [SOLVED] How do I find out what packages are installed in a distro?

Okay. I was running Arch before, but GNOME had a bunch of problems that I couldn't fix myself, so I reformatted and went to Peppermint OS (it's a cloud-based system), and I absolutely love it. Now, the thing is, it's even slower than my Arch system was running GNOME, and it's supposed to be super-lightweight and speedy; but aside from that, I found it's a great distro (I think most of the slowdown is because it's based on Ubuntu and Mint). So, my question: how do I find out which packages are in Peppermint OS so I can emulate the basic environment, except with Arch underneath? Thanks, guys!

Okay, I guess an hour of Googling wasn't enough, but I just found a site that tells me how to do it! I'll mark this solved, but for anyone else who wants to know, the info is right here: http://www.cyberciti.biz/faq/find-out-i … -in-linux/ It uses dpkg, which I think is only used on Debian-based systems (correct me if I'm wrong) so it may not work for all distros, but it's a start.

  • Can you find out what packages a class has imported?

Hi all, I start my final year at uni in september and at the moment i'm just experimenting with stuff while i try and decide what to do for my final year project.
Without going into too much detail what i want to be able to do is for the client to "submit" a class file that is then dynamically loaded and run on the server. Obviously this has security implications so what i was wondering was if it is possible to determine what packages a class has imported from the actual classfile.
I've looked through the vm spec but haven't been able to find anything theyre that looks like it'll help. Any suggestions or ideas (or solutions!) would be much appreciated.
    Thanks. Matt.

You could use the Class.getDeclaredClasses() to see the class types that exist as members, but that won't do you any good since the class will have already undergone static initialization within your VM, and the security breach would have already been made. You could inspect the constant pool in the class data to check what other classes are referenced but then that brings up several questions:
1 - How do you know which classes are bad? Even if you define a set, copies can be created in new packages (or simply aliased) so that the list is invalid.
2 - How do you know the class you are loading is not malicious? A client class may not reference any external class but may be malicious itself.
3 - The offending class might use reflection exclusively to reference classes without leaving a trace in the class file. This would be absolutely impossible to detect.
Your only choices are (a) to use signed classes, and make it the responsibility of someone to review the classes and sign them, or (b) install your own Security Manager to catch all prohibited activity, or (c) check as classes are referenced in the classloader. Option (a) is the best method, but (b) or (c) might work in a very restricted environment.

  • How do i find out what the IEMI number is without having the phone or package?

how do i find out what the IEMI number is without having the phone or package?

If you ever backed your iPhone up to your computer, launch iTunes, go to the Preferences, select Devices, and hover your cursor over the backup file for the iPhone. That should show you the IMEI number.
If not, and you don't have the phone nor the packaging, you'll need to call your cell carrier and see if perhaps they can tell you.
    Regards.

  • How do I find out what features are not useful in my Classifier?

How do I find out what features are not useful in my Classifier? I am trying to trim down the number of features to speed up the training of my data, I have about 3700 features. I have found the Filter Based Feature Selection Module and have not been successful
in using it. I have looked through all the examples and have not been able to find any examples using the module. Will the Filter Based Feature Selection Module help me to trim features. If so how do I use it?

One way to do this would be is to use a random forest classifier. Feature/variable importance can be obtained relatively easily with random forests.
Here is how you may do it in R.
    > install.packages('randomForest') #install randomForest package in R if it is not already there
    > library(randomForest) # reference the library
    > data(mtcars) # load motor cars data that ships with
    #train a random forest
    > mtcars.rf <- randomForest(mpg ~ ., data=mtcars, ntree=1000,keep.forest=FALSE, importance=TRUE)
    > importance(mtcars.rf)
    > importance(mtcars.rf)
#You will see an output like below
           %IncMSE IncNodePurity
    cyl  16.168645     169.96741
    disp 18.672188     260.08722
    hp   17.584375     184.95007
    drat  6.948743      63.54528
    wt   17.818509     254.30347
    qsec  4.772889      33.25546
    vs    5.303058      24.39064
    am    5.210181      17.36626
    gear  4.619161      21.55450
    carb  8.577037      28.46715
    # or plot the importance as follows
    > varImpPlot(mtcars.rf)
What this tells you is how important predictors/features/variables like horsepower(hp), weight(wt), no. of cylinders (cyl) is in predicting miles per gallon (mpg).
If you are wondering how the data looks like. Try this
head(mtcars) # gives first few lines of the data set.
mpg cyl disp  hp drat   wt ...
    Mazda RX4     21.0   6  160 110 3.90 2.62 ...
    Mazda RX4 Wag 21.0   6  160 110 3.90 2.88 ...
    Datsun 710    22.8   4  108  93 3.85 2.32 ...
    . Try this

  • I recently bought a macbook pro retina and while I'm using it a yellow triangle pops up then disappears. I don't know what it says. How do I find out whats wrong?

I recently bought a macbook pro retina and while I'm using it a yellow triangle pops up then disappears. I don't know what it says. How do I find out whats wrong?

Oh, by all means. Uninstall it using its uninstaller if you have one. Do not install any anti-malware software as it's unneeded with OS X Lion or Mountain Lion.
    Uninstalling Software: The Basics
Most OS X applications are completely self-contained "packages" that can be uninstalled by simply dragging the application to the Trash.  Applications may create preference files that are stored in the /Home/Library/Preferences/ folder.  Although they do nothing once you delete the associated application, they do take up some disk space.  If you want you can look for them in the above location and delete them, too.
Some applications may install an uninstaller program that can be used to remove the application.  In some cases the uninstaller may be part of the application's installer, and is invoked by clicking on a Customize button that will appear during the install process.
Some applications may install components in the /Home/Library/Applications Support/ folder.  You can also check there to see if the application has created a folder.  You can also delete the folder that's in the Applications Support folder.  Again, they don't do anything but take up disk space once the application is trashed.
Some applications may install a startupitem or a Log In item.  Startupitems are usually installed in the /Library/StartupItems/ folder and less often in the /Home/Library/StartupItems/ folder.  Log In Items are set in the Accounts preferences.  Open System Preferences, click on the Accounts icon, then click on the LogIn Items tab.  Locate the item in the list for the application you want to remove and click on the "-" button to delete it from the list.
Some software use startup daemons or agents that are a new feature of the OS.  Look for them in /Library/LaunchAgents/ and /Library/LaunchDaemons/ or in /Home/Library/LaunchAgents/.
If an application installs any other files the best way to track them down is to do a Finder search using the application name or the developer name as the search term.  Unfortunately Spotlight will not look in certain folders by default.  You can modify Spotlight's behavior or use a third-party search utility, EasyFind, instead.
Some applications install a receipt in the /Library/Receipts/ folder.  Usually with the same name as the program or the developer.  The item generally has a ".pkg" extension.  Be sure you also delete this item as some programs use it to determine if it's already installed.
There are many utilities that can uninstall applications.  Here is a selection:
        1. AppZapper 2.0.1
        2. AppDelete 3.2.6
        3. Automaton 1.50
        4. Hazel
        5. AppCleaner 2.1.0
        6. CleanApp
        7. iTrash 1.8.2
        8. Amnesia
        9. Uninstaller 1.15.1
      10. Spring Cleaning 11.0.1

Sounds like you want your administrative password on the Mac so can install? For starters, you'll want to ask in a Mac forum. I know you used to be able to reset it using the install disk but haven't tried that for years.

  • How do i find out what devices are authorised on my apple ID?

I have just bought a new iMac and want to get all my itunes library etc on it.  However, apparently i have reached my limit of 5 authorisations, which is entirely possible as I have had a number of iphones, Macair and ipads, some of which I either no longer own or are no longer functioning.  How do I find out what devices are authorised and then deauthorise any that I don't use any more - given that they may not even work!

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
You can't de-authorise just the computers you no longer have access to.
Your only option is to de-authorise all your computers and then re-authorise those you wish to be authorised. You can do this by logging into your account settings in iTunes on your computer (Store > View My ID) and selecting the option to de-authorise all.
Please note however, you are only permitted to do this once in each 12 month period, therefore you would be better de-authorising your computers before you lose access to them. you can do this from the 'Store' menu in iTunes.

  • I have two iPhones on my iTunes account. How can I find out what apps go to which phone?

I have two iPhones on my iTunes account. How can I find out what apps go to which phone?

I don't believe that there is a way to do that.  I would sugest using automatic downloads to keep your apps synced across both phones.  You might also want to note that just about any app you have ever download will be available for free download via icloud.
Wish I could be more help.

  • How can I find out what apple IDs are tied to an email address

We are trying to set up FaceTime and got the verification error on the email address.  We went in to the Apple ID account and when we verify the email address, it tells us that it's tied to another AppleID.  My daughter has 3 other AppleIDs and we've checked each one of them and the email address is not tied to any of them.
How can we find out what apple ID is tied to this email address?
We have used the "Forgot my Apple ID" function and used all 3 of the different email addresses she's used on the accounts and when we access the one that says there's a duplicate, it takes us to the account and it's the one with the email address that I noted above.
    Any thougts or help?
