How do I lengthen the number of measures I can record on the GarageBand app for iPad?
I have the GarageBand app for my iPad mini. When I go to record, it only lets me record 8 measures and then stops. How do I lengthen the number of measures I can record so I can record one track of an entire song?
By default song sections are eight bars long. To record a longer song,you need to extend your song with additional sections.

Either record your song in sections of eight measures, or extent a region across several sections:
Change the length of a section
Open the song section controls and tap the section you want to change.
Tap the up or down arrow next to Manual to lengthen or shorten the section incrementally by bars. You can swipe vertically to change it in larger values.
If you want the section to match the length of your next recording (to the nearest bar), turn on Automatic before you record. This is especially useful when recording improvisations or longer parts. The Automatic option is available only for the last (rightmost) section in a song.
Tap anywhere in Tracks view to close the song section controls.
When you shorten a section, any regions extending past the end of the section are shortened. When you lengthen a section, all regions that extend from the beginning to the end of the section now loop to the new end of the section. A section can be any number of bars, and the overall song can be up to 320 bars long.

Is there a limit to the number of selectors you can have in a CSS file for Mozilla Firefox to work?
I am writing the CSS code for my website and the CSS is being interpreted correctly by Chrome but is not even being read by Mozilla Firefox. When I use firebug, I can see that the classes appear in the HTML code but are not interpreted in the CSS.
The code for this page was recently added, which puts it on the bottom part of my CSS file. The CSS file has over 2.000 lines. Is it possible that Mozilla Firefox is limiting the number of lines it reads? If so, should I split the code in two or three CSS files (what is the limit per file)?
Thank you!I don't think it's an issue of file length, however, as a test you could revert to your previously working file and place all the new CSS in a new file, and see whether that makes any difference.
If you clear the error console and reload the page, do you get any unexpected style warnings? By unexpected, I mean things other than, for example, -webkit-transform is not recognized and is being dropped. Illogical messages can indicate an unnoticed typo. -
Is there a limit to the number of Photos one can use in the Screen Saver?
As the title inquires... I recently help set-up a friend's screen saver to use their entire iPhoto library as content. The library has about 2,800 pictures. When the screen saver engaged, the 'Looking for pictures...' dialogue came up, and 10 minutes later it is still there. I am hoping that it is just indexing these photos, and once complete the screen saver will kick in, and future activations of the screen saver will kick in more quickly.
If not, what is the limit? And, if you are from Apple and are reading this, why did you not include this information in an easy to access location, so that going through all of this would not be necessary.There is no limit as to the amount of pictures the screensaver can use. However the more pictures there is a slightly longer loading time. HOWEVER still, it should not take 10 minutes for 2800 pics. It shouldn't even take a minute.
It would be a little helpful as to what computer your running and what OS, but here is a good suggestion.
The first thing you want to do is to make sure you have the most recent updates for the OS and iPhoto. (Use the software updater)
Next you should repair disk permissions. Go into apps, into utilities, open disk utility, click your hard-drive on the left, and click repair disk permissions. When thats finished (10-30 minutes depending) restart the computer. For reasons that I'm not quite sure, disk permissions fixes many problems and glitches you may encounter.
Try setting you screensaver again.

How do I limit the number of measures per line in Logic Pro score editor
I would like to control the number of measures per line in Logic Pro X Score Editor, currently it puts random numbers of measures per line depending on the accumulated lenth of the measures per line, as if looking for "the best fit". Any ideas how to force four measures per line in my finished score?
Thanks, This solved my problem, the only thing I still needed to do was to find out how to open the Global format window. I fugured it out by opening the Score editor window / Layout / global format /then I saw the Max # of barlines. If you just go to the Logic Pro / Preferences then you never get to see the global format window unless you know to hit the "Score Project Settings" button on the bottom. But at least you showed me that there was such a option which limited the number of measures so I keep on trying until I fould how to reveal that option. Thanks !

You can't. Why on earth would you attempt to manage 2500 emails with setting up a folder structure or some means of doing so? Simply keeping them in an single inbox is not realistic, no matter what email client you use.

You can't.
All photos transferred from your computer are stored in the Photo Library. The photos in the album or albums below are not duplicates - they include a pointer to the original photos stored in the Photo Library. This way you can view the photos in a particular album only by selecting the album, or you can view all photos available in all albums by selecting Photo Library.
Just as with an iTunes playlist. A song cannot be in an iTunes playlist unless the song is in the main iTunes library. Placing a song in a playlist does not duplicate the song. Remove the main iTunes library or the songs from the main iTunes library that are in a playlist and the songs will no longer be in the playlist either. This way you can listen to the songs in the playlist only by selecting the playlist, or all songs in your entire iTunes library by selecting Music under Library in the iTunes source list.
The same with iPhoto on a Mac. A photo cannot be in an in iPhoto Event or Album unless the photo is in the main iPhoto library. Placing a photo in an Event or Album does not duplicate the photo. This way you can view the photos in an iPhoto Event or Album only by selecting the Event or Album, or all photos in all Events or Albums. -

If you just need a copy of the software, then download the trial copy of Lr available from Adobe. On entering your serial number it will then become a full copy.

I have NOT come across any limits but you need to be very careful on how many nested layers you create and if you are also going to use 3rd party security like AD &/or LDAP. Then you will see some performance issues.
How many groups are looking to create 2,000 / 4,000 / 6,000 ?

Security - Can I limit the number of computers which can access a PDF?
I'd like to set the following specific securities over my PDF document:
1. Password access
2. Editing (copy/paste) disabled.
I already know how to do these two in Acrobat.
3. Limit the number of computers which can open the document. (i.e. I want to prevent the document holder from sending their copy of the PDF to someone else via email, external hard drive, etc. Once he/she opens the PDF on their laptop, it can't be opened again on any other cpu)
4. Expiration (i.e. I want to set a 5/10/15/ or 30-day expiration on the document. Once it's been opened, it will become inaccessible in 5/10/15/ or 30 days' time.....whichever I would specifiy)

--CharlesIf (and this is a big IF) all recipients of your PDFs have digital IDs (PKI-based certificates), you can encrypt your PDFs with certificate encryption. In the encryption workflow you add recipients' certificates (with public key only) to the encrypted document. After that only holders of one of those certificates may be able to open your PDFs. This method does not restrict the documents from opening only on specific CPUs and does not prevent documents from being moved from one location to another but rather restricts the ability to open this document to a pre0defined group of people who are identified by their Digital IDs.
The caveat here is that all these people need to have Digital IDs and send you their public keys.
