How do I lose the file name in a portfolio

Acrobat pro 9.3.2 - Building a portfolio. Like the revolve format. Don't want the file name displayed. Quite ugly. Looked into the obvious but cant get rid of it. Just want my description at minimun but would like to re-tittle the icon. Any advice?

Anyone with info on this ? I have just ran into this problem myself, hard to believe there isn't a way to fix this .

REPORT x.

AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file.
Ask user to select file with a popup :
CALL FUNCTION 'F4_FILENAME'
    IMPORTING
      file_name = gv_full_path.
Get filename from path :
gv_full_path_string = gv_full_path.
CALL FUNCTION 'CH_SPLIT_FILENAME'
    EXPORTING
      complete_filename = gv_full_path_string
    IMPORTING
      extension         = gv_file_ext
      name              = gv_filename.
CONCATENATE gv_filename '.' gv_file_ext INTO gv_filename.
p_file = gv_filename.

I have a similar issue with regards to the filename...
When I navigate to my website, it doesnt work unless I actually type the filename at the end of it. Example: type in "www.whitelion.com" (this is my real domain name) and it doesnt work. When I type in "www.whitelion.com/index.html" then it works.
This is obviously inconvenient because my clients will never know to add the filename to the end of the site.
Is there any setting or way to get the page to appear by just typing the original domain name without adding the extension?

I'm kind of new to javascript -- working with a colleague who has Adobe Acrobat Professional -- I've got an *old* version of Adobe Acrobat and most of the functions don't work -- but how do we get the file name -- we're trying to develop an application -- so if the user opens c:\something.pdf, we'd like to know the file name (something.pdf).

How can you keep the file name when using "Download Linked File As..."?

I'm a longtime PC user finally making the transition to Mac. Some of the tasks that seemed so simple in Windows have really stumped me! One of the tasks I do frequently is download files into specific folders. After much looking, I finally found the "Download Linked File As..." option if I right-click on the download link. The problem is, when I choose this option, I lose the file name. I get a window in which I can choose the desired folder, but the filename is always "0". If I want to keep the filename (and I usually do), I have to type it in manually. Is there anyway around this?

Just checked on 10.7.4+, still the same, something is borked about your install, to see if we need to re-install...
To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

The problem is that i need to retrieve list (range) of documents and than save them.
as it written now , i can do it just about one file.

While importing, how do I save the file name with the artist in it?

Currently when Itunes imports any cd, it imports it with the song name only, and put it in a folder with the artist name. I would prefer the tracks to be named 'Artist - Song.mp3'.
Any idea how I can do this? It's driving me crazy. I need to rename all the imports with the artist on the file name.

A plugin called LR/Transporter could probably automate that. However, I don't think many people will want to do this once all usages of the image are considered!
So an export plugin called LR/Mogrify (which calls in the utility ImageMagick as an output processor) would be the next suggestion. How do I get the file name to print up closer to a horizontal photo?

Kind of a nit-picking question, but here goes anyway:
I use Lightroom's Print module to create contact sheets (three rows by three columns). I check the "Photo Info" check box and select "Filename" to have the file names printed with each photo. When the photo is shot vertically, the file name prints at the lower edge of the photo, as you would expect. However, when the photo is shot horizontally, the file name still prints down in the same place where it would print if the photo were vertical. That can be confusing because if the next photo down on the sheet is vertical, a file name can end up being much closer to the vertical photo below it--to which it is completely unrelated--than to the horizontal photo above it, to which it actually refers.
Is there any way to get Lightroom to print file names closer to horizontal photos?

Thanks to both of you for your speedy responses. Making all the shots horizontal or vertical (i. e., unchecking the "Rotate to Fit" box on the right) is not what I want. Increasing the vertical spacing is a possibility, but that'll make the vertical shots smaller. There's a program called "ImageBuddy" which does exactly what I want LIghtroom to do in this instance: print the filenames of only the horizontal shots higher and therefore closer to the photos to which they refer. It's quite cheap, but I'd rather not use Lightroom for everything else and ImageBuddy just for contact sheets, so if anybody knows of a way to do what I want to do within Lightroom, please do clue me in.
