How to get DMS the file name

Hi friends
I need to retrive the file name of the PDF created document , any one knows how to do it.
I need also to move the file from the original the folder to another folder , is it possible to write an abap code to do that.

Hi Experts,
i try useing the DMS_KPRO_READ prog as you said above.
The problem is that i need to retrieve list (range) of documents and than save them.
as it written now , i can do it just about one file.
if u have any helpfull advice it will be real kindly.

This code gets only filename from selection screen :
REPORT x.
PARAMETERS p_file(100).
DATA : gv_full_path LIKE ibipparms-path,
       gv_full_path_string TYPE string,
       gv_filename(100),
       gv_file_ext(3).
AT SELECTION-SCREEN ON VALUE-REQUEST FOR p_file.
Ask user to select file with a popup :
CALL FUNCTION 'F4_FILENAME'
    IMPORTING
      file_name = gv_full_path.
Get filename from path :
gv_full_path_string = gv_full_path.
CALL FUNCTION 'CH_SPLIT_FILENAME'
    EXPORTING
      complete_filename = gv_full_path_string
    IMPORTING
      extension         = gv_file_ext
      name              = gv_filename.
CONCATENATE gv_filename '.' gv_file_ext INTO gv_filename.
p_file = gv_filename.

I have a similar issue with regards to the filename...
When I navigate to my website, it doesnt work unless I actually type the filename at the end of it. Example: type in "www.whitelion.com" (this is my real domain name) and it doesnt work. When I type in "www.whitelion.com/index.html" then it works.
This is obviously inconvenient because my clients will never know to add the filename to the end of the site.
Is there any setting or way to get the page to appear by just typing the original domain name without adding the extension?

I am currently generating a file, through a Process chain, from OHD that contains the BW system timestamp as part of its logical filename. There is a requirement to log the file name generated along with the number of rows..
Is there anyway of getting this informaiton.. Are there any logs that are created for OHDs when they are run that contain this info?

When a user is on my website and mouses over a link to another page, the name of that page comes up - for example, if I mouse over the link to the Mums Night Out page (while on the home page) the file name pops up (mumsnightout.html)

Problems getting just the file name using an upload component

Hi everyone, I'm using an upload component on my page and I need to get just the name of the image/file in order to store it in a database, I used the code of the tutorial and It works fine on mozilla but the problem comes when I use Internet Explorer because I get the whole path of the image/file and not just the name of it. I believe the browser is the cause of the problem, I already checked the http://jakarta.apache.org/commons/fileupload/, but I don't understand how to use anything, and not even the code of the tutorial works eventhough it is specified in comments:

File.separatorChar is the system-dependent default hame-separator charac tor. This field is initialized to contain the first character of the system property file.separator. On UNIX systems, the value of this field is '/'; on Microsoft Windows systems it is '\\'.

Can you print out File.separatorChar and see if it is '\\' (I think the first \ is an escape char, that is \\ (escape-escape) is the equivalent of \ (backslash)) or '\'?
When you run it on another machine, how are you deploying it on the other machine? Is it deployed to Solaris and running on Windows?
Have you tested to see if it works on a Windows machine using Mozilla?

While importing, how do I save the file name with the artist in it?

Currently when Itunes imports any cd, it imports it with the song name only, and put it in a folder with the artist name. I would prefer the tracks to be named 'Artist - Song.mp3'.
Any idea how I can do this? It's driving me crazy. I need to rename all the imports with the artist on the file name.

A plugin called LR/Transporter could probably automate that. However, I don't think many people will want to do this once all usages of the image are considered!
So an export plugin called LR/Mogrify (which calls in the utility ImageMagick as an output processor) would be the next suggestion. How can you keep the file name when using "Download Linked File As..."?

I'm a longtime PC user finally making the transition to Mac. Some of the tasks that seemed so simple in Windows have really stumped me! One of the tasks I do frequently is download files into specific folders. After much looking, I finally found the "Download Linked File As..." option if I right-click on the download link. The problem is, when I choose this option, I lose the file name. I get a window in which I can choose the desired folder, but the filename is always "0". If I want to keep the filename (and I usually do), I have to type it in manually. Is there anyway around this?

To find out if it's system wide or user specific, try this...
Open System Preferences>Accounts, unlock the lock, click on the little plus icon, make a new admin account, log out & into the new account.
Does it work in the new account?

How do I do this?
