How do I make images round - CS5 Photoshop

I'm editing photographs of tabletop ceramics - plates, etc. and often images are shot off center and I have to make them round.
I use the Filter Lens Correction Feature with some success and the Warp feature to fine tune - but it's all eyeballing the image which isn't accurate.
Is there any feature that can help with this process or a grid that will enable me to ensure they are round??
Windows CS5 Photoshop -

JJMack,
Thanks for the quick turnaround with an answer and I like your idea of shooting against a defineable backdrop -
In most cases I am not shooting the images but am working with images sent to me.  I know there is a grid but do you know of anything like a grid of concentric circles that can be used to assess whether the object is round?

  • How do you make images transparent in inDesign?

How do you make images transparent in Adobe InDesign CS5.5?

    Dittco wrote:
It IS possible: Select the image. Open effects (Window > Effects). Switch from "normal" to "multiply". Viola! White background is gone.
That only works with a white background. In addition, it introduces a transparency effect, with its associated problems.
With a rather light background: Select the image. Open clipping path (Object > Clipping Path > Options). Select Type > Detect Edges; use Threshold and Tolerance to get as close as possible to the edge of your image. This may be difficult because of a too low resolution image, or too much fringe on the edge -- if all fails, use the Inset Frame value to force the mask "into" the image. Click OK, and the background is gone.
But that's not the only way: you can always create a clipping path manually, and then you are in total control, not limited by transparency side effects, auto-edge detection, and busy backgrounds.

You can have options of creating greeting cards, photobook, photo collage rather than having an option of mural. You can use different templates layouts of the application to create a mural like creation.

  • How do I make a button in Photoshop for Muse?

Three months ago I found this info, and I've made a dozen buttons. Can't remember how to do it. I've spent all afternoon trying to find the info. All I get is how to place a button. How do I make it?

Thank you to both Zorinos and jamtec; I appreciate your responses.
My question was how to configure the PS file, but I think I wasn't clear about that.  I finally went back to a button I'd made in January and figured out how I'd made it: A new file, transparent background, a layer with the image and  layer with text (Or transparent background and one layer with image and text for my purpose.) Then File/Place PS Button creates the button. I didn't need to allocate different states.
What is so annoying is, I needed ten seconds worth of information: the PS file. It is not available except in time wasting, obscure videos. The James Fritz video (http://tv.adobe.com/watch/learn-muse/importing-a-photoshop-button) doesn't mention the PS file until after two minutes of jabber, and it is almost unnoticeable hidden in the middle of a sentence.
I don't like videos; they waste time. Written instruction are more efficient. For me.

  • Help- how do I make images ready for web gallery??

    Hi,
I am trying to create a photo gallery of images within Bridge using the Adobe Web Gallery feature. I have the images I want to use in a folder. What steps do I need to take to get the images saved in the correct format and file size? Also, what files sizes do you recommend for a web gallery? I need to make medium to large thumbnails & large images (when clicked). Here's what I am thinking I need in terms of getting this right:
use Adobe Photoshop/Bridge to create the gallery
    jpg for photos
    gif for solid colors
file size under 2MB (full image), under 20-30K for (thumbnails), total size of all images under 50K (no more than 50 sec. to download)
    screen size: 984x728
    screen resolution: 72dpi
If you could help me in any way, shape or form concerning making my images ready for a web gallery that would be most helpful. And if you can refer me to any resources on making a web gallery that'd be awesome. Thank you!

Thanks for the link Curt Y that video is really helpful. After looking through some materials I had I figured out how to optimize my images. So I don't need any help anymore. But thanks to all who viewed this and thanks Curt Y for the video!

  • How do I make image icons in finder window previews of the image?

The image icons in my finder window are just generic jpeg icons (they are set to open automatically in Preview). How do I make them previews of the images themselves? When I "get info" on the icon, there is a very nice preview of the image - I would like to see the same quality preview in the icons themselves.
Thank you very much for your help.
    Sam
    Powerbook   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

    Hi Sam,
From your Finder "View" menu (without a Finder window open) >> "Show view options" >> do you have "show icon preview" check marked? And with the Finder window open "show icons" and "show preview icons" checkmarked?
EDIT: I may have misunderstood your question. If you're talking about the small file icons, not in the preview frame if you have PhotoShop it should do it with a save as PS file. Otherwise you may be able to paste the image but I'm not sure.

  • How can I make images transparent in my documents?

I've got InDesign CS5.5 and like to save my banners, etc. that I create as a jpeg but when I try to use them on something else it has a white background.  How can I make sure the backgrounds are transparent?

I didn't know that about the png in CS6.  Thanks for letting me know.
Unfortunately, I don't have Photoshop.  I just recently purchased Photoshop Elements.  I haven't really done much on it as I have other projects I need to work on. Do you know if I would be able to convert in that program?
Wish I could afford a newer version of InDesign but I can't.

  • How do I make fonts larger i photoshop?

how can I make my fonts larger in photoshop?

In Addition to the advise of Nickna12, you can also increase the size of fonts when you are on a HiDPI screen (Windows)
This is done from Preferences > Experimental Features > Scale UI 200% for High Density Displays. Check this one,
Restart Photoshop, and you'll see the interface increased in Size.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I make images tilt to one side in Fireworks?

I have Fireworks MX --- I know how to import an image, but
how can I make it tilt slightly? I don't want a full rotate, but
    make it slanted.
    Thanks

HI, two ways that I know of. The quickest is, with your image
    selected,
choose the 'Scale' tool from the Tools panel on the left,
    then you can
rotate the image just by dragging the rotate icon. Or for a
    more precise
method go to Modify > Transform > Numeric Transform
    > select Rotate from the
drop down menu and enter the angle amount you require.

  • How to get tapered brushes in cs5 photoshop

    Hi,
I have cs5 photoshop and it seems to have a very limited amount of brush styles. Other people with cs5 have a large range of standard styles. I am just after the standard tapered end brush (tapered on both ends)
    Cheers

Go to Window>Brush, click on the words Shape Dynamics and then select Pen Pressure for the Control under Size Jitter.
In the Paths panel (Window>Paths), right click on the path and select Stroke Path.
In the Stroke Path dialog check Simulate Pressure.

  • How do I make image backgrounds black and white while maintaining color in the foreground objects?

I have a close up close-up image of an orchid with blurred background.  I am trying to make the background black and white while maintaining the foreground color on the petals, buds and stems.  Any ideas?

Use the Blank & White Brick and either brush the effect onto the background or brush is away from the foreground.  "Detect Edges" will help control the edge of the mask.
You might be interested in knowing that you can brush on/away masks of different strengths, and thus produce effects in between 0% and 100%.
Search the forum -- there are several good posts detailing how to create this effect.
    Sample search.
