How do I modify the palette to go straight to the Programmin​g menu in LV8.5?

I've seen variations of this question asked, but I'm not seeing the answer I'd like to see.
On the back panel, I want to right-click and see everything available in the "Programming" submenu.  (Kinda like it used to be in the old days of LV.)  I don't want to right-click and choose "Programming" -- I want to right-click and see "Structures", "Array", "Class, Cluster, & Variant", ...
I've seen other posts which explain how to pin the menu and select Change Visible Categories.  I can make it so that "Programming" is the only icon when I first right-click, but that's not what I'm trying to do -- I want to see everything in "Programming" the first time I right click.
I'd also like to do the same thing on the front panel -- jump straight to the Modern subpanel.

We affectionately call it the block diagram.
When I right-click I see the Programming palette already shown. I have all categories visible and I also have the "Format" set to "Category (Icons and Text)" in the LabVIEW Options (also accessible from the "View This Palette As" menu item when pinned. I don't recall doing anything beyond that.

    When you drop this component on a page in the Visual Designer, you cannot see it on the page until you set the tag property. You can see it in the Outline window and you can select it there to edit its properties in the Properties window.

    To provide compliance with XHTML, if the HTML element you are inserting is a singleton element, you must specify the singleton property, which causes a trailing /> to be generated in the rendered HTML. For example, the <br> element is a singleton element that must be rendered as

  • Stills in the Palette

    I have over 5000 photos in iPhoto. Does DVD Studio Pro have a hard time processing this many photos. I am asking this because when I open up the palette and click on stills, the program basically stalls. It can't seem to open up all of the thumbnails and this in turn seems to induce stalls in the other tabs within the Palette.

    I believe that DVD Studio Pro cannot process stills in the Palette when iPhoto has nested folders. It works fine when I just click on library (with greater than 5000 photos - it just takes time). However, when I click on a folder which if have nested a couple of folders in (in iPhoto), the stills palette freezes.

  • LabView 7.1 SIT: how can I modify the LV-Simulink connections during execution?

    Hi!
    I'm using LabView 7.1 (with the SIT toolkit) to make a user interface for a
    Simulink model.  The problem I’m encountering is that the Simulink
    parameters aren’t always linked to the same LV controls, depending on the options
    selected by the user.  Since I wasn’t sure
    if it was possible to do this, I decided to send the values of the main
    controls into other controls, which would be hidden (or not if I can’t… doesn’t
    really matter).  The hidden controls would
    then be linked to the Simulink parameters, and the connections would never have
    to change. 
    It is quite
    confusing to describe in words, so I’ve included a picture representing what I’m
    trying to do.  It shows the way I'm trying to do it right now, with the hidden controls, but only the final result counts, so tell me if there's a better way to do it, or if it's just wrong.
    For the moment, since
    I’m not very good at using events, I just can’t figure how to connect the
    hidden controls to the Simulink parameters. 
    By default in SIT, the Simulink values are updated when the user changes
    the value corresponding LabView control. 
    Here, the values of the controls linked to Simulink are not modified
    directly by the user, so it doesn’t update.
    I hope my explanations are clear enough to be understood… if not, don’t hesitate to ask more details.

    I just tried to do what is shown in your picture, and it does update the value of the control, but the value is not sent to Simulink... I don't know if I'm doing something wrong...  I did some basic tests with the Sine Wave SIT example.  I added a control called "Frequency Simulink", which is updating each time the value of the "Frequency" control changes, using a local variable inside the event (like your picture).  However, the new value of the frequency isn't passed to Simulink.  I posted the modified version of the sine wave example that I used to test, if someone wants to try it.

  • How can I change the time of photos in info in iPhoto for iOS. I've done it in iPhoto for Mac but when I sync to my ipad the info field goes back to the camera time ignoring "modify original files" in iPhoto for Mac?

    I used "adjust date and time" and"modify original files" to correct the time of photos taken on a camera used in Peru which was set to UK rather than local time. which is 6 hours  behind. This was to bring them into line with shots taken with other cameras set to local time. This was using iphoto 08 on a Mac. I then synced to my iPad. The photos stayed in the correct order in photos but in iphoto (iOS version) the original dates appear (the camera dates) and so the photos are out of chronological order again. This looks like a bug but is there a fix?

    don't know what you mean by "write to master" but speculate that it means modify the original times, in which case the taken times on the camera should no longer be present
    No,I meant your using the option "modify original files" will do exactly that - change the capture date original master files stored in the iPhoto library. Only when you do that, the "date modified" of your original files will be changed as well, and it will now be the date of your manipulation of the capture date.
    Oh - I hadnt considered that possibility - but of that were the case, why don't my manipulated photos go to the end of the sequence as I have done all the manipulation after the end of the holiday??
    In photos the synced album maintains the chronological order which I set up on the mac by modifying the originals, as you said,

    "on ipad this is the Photos tab" - but this displays as per the original sequence ignoring time adjustments - the manipulations seem to be ignored (but are reflected in the album in the photos tab) and the photos tahat have been modified stay in their original positiom - they don't get put the end
    Because the library uses a different date - the date modified - the date of the last time the file has been changed in any way - any editing you do to your image, including adjust date and time will change the "date modified"
    This may change the sorting of the database but it appears not to influence the order in the albums

    The Finder reports File information. The date and time of the photo are in the Photo's Exif metadata. The Finder has no awareness of this. All photos apps on any system do.

    Just using Address Book this can't be done, but if you are prepared to try a little Applescript it is easy. This script will set the city for example - but only if there is already an address.

    In BW 3.5, the <b>Query Selection View</b>  web item was introduced for users to create a query view to save the navigational state of a query. This web item was also available to modify and delete an existing query view.
    The Query Selection View web item <u>does not</u> exist in BI 7.0. I see the drop down web item can be used to display the query views associated to a query.
    Can anyone share how to create,modify,save or delete a <b>query view</b> on the web in BI 7.0

    Sanjay, we experienced the same issue. Below are a few pieces of information that may be of help: 1-The Save As button on the 0ANALYZER template saves the query to the portal. From Bex Web or Bex Analyzer, you have no access to these saved views. We created a ZANALYZER copy of the 0ANALYZER template and removed the Save As button. 2- If you right mouse click on any item in the query results grid of Bex Web, you get a small menu. Clicking on the menu item Save View will save the view to BI. You do not have the ability to delete the saved views from Bex Web. However, you can delete them from Bex Analyzer. This was not an option for us since most of our users are using Bex Web. 3- On the same menu, clicking on Bookmark, saves the navigation and also opens the Internet Explorer Favorites maintence window. The navigation is saved as an entry into the users Internet Explorer favorites where they can organize and delete their entries. However, deleting the favorite does not delete the entry for the bookmark in BI. The bookmarks are stored in table RSWR_DATA. Program RSWR_BOOKMARK_REORG can be used to manage the saved bookmarks. We are loading RSWR_DATA into a chracteristic so that we can query the information in order to help us manage it. I hope this helps you and others that appear to be struggling with the issue of saved views in Bex Web.

  • How do I modify the WHERE clause in my SQL query?

    This seems like such a straight-forward part of the report design, but I'm fairly new to Crystal Reports and I only have experience with modifying reports someone else has already written.  In this particular case, I just need to modify the WHERE clause of the SQL query.  I can select Show SQL Query and see what statement is being used to select data, but I can't find where to modify it since it's grayed out.  I see how to change the selection criteria, parameters, grouping, etc...just not the WHERE clause.  The report is linked to a database used for reporting with a table created and populated by a stored procedure.  I don't need to modify the stored procedure because the data I want to filter by is currently in the table--I just don't know how to filter by what I need.  Here's part of the query:
    SELECT "rpt_dist"."startdate", "rpt_dist"."transtype", "rpt_dist"."laborcode", "rpt_dist"."crewid", "rpt_dist"."regularhrs" FROM   "Reporting"."dbo"."rpt_dist" "rpt_dist"

    I would like to add another crewid to the WHERE clause.  Thanks for any input.

    1.Open the report in the crystal designer
    2.Go to the field explorer(if hidden go to view menu->field explorer)
    3.Rt. click on the database fields->choose database expert
    4.Now you will see 2 columns-Available DataSource  and Selected Tables
    5.Rt. click on the object(ex.command) available in the Selected Tables column->Choose Edit command
    6.A new Modify Command window will appear,here you can edit your SQL Query
    I get to step 4 and I see the two columns including my database and the report table, but there is no command object available.  If I right-click on my table, I can just view the Properties. ??
    As for the other tip to modify the record selection:  I don't see anywhere the other crewid values are set and if I add the one I'm missing, it doesn't modify the existing SQL Query and when I preview the report it throws off the results so that no data displays??
    I'm using Crystal Reports 11.5 if that makes a difference.  Thanks again.

    Self tuning will automatically manage the threads but however you can still control the min and max by adding the min and max values for each instance either directly adding in config.xml or through JVM settings
    1) Modifying the config.xml
    Just add the following line(s) to each server definition :
    <server>
    <name>AdminServer</name>
    <self-tuning-thread-pool-size-min>100</self-tuning-thread-pool-size-min>
    <self-tuning-thread-pool-size-max>200</self-tuning-thread-pool-size-max>
    </server>
    2) Adding some JVM parameters
    It's safer the following way :
    add the following option in your command line : -Dweblogic.threadpool.MinPoolSize=100

    To set the duration of any clips to be added in the future select the project then "Settings" above the viewer.    Adjust the slider to the right of "Clips" to the desired duration.
    To change clips already in the timeline, select all of the ones you want to change (so they have a yellow border), click on "Adjust" then click the info button (i in a circle).  You will see "Duration:"  Set the time in seconds and press return.

I'm developing the ability set properties and such, playing with how Javascript works, and I wanted to change the number of pages in a master page as part of an exercise. Does anyone know how to do this? I have been able to add new masters, controlling the number of pages in them with this:
    myDocument.masterSpreads.add( {pagesPerSpread:2,} )
    but what I really want is to modify the master that InDesign automatically generates with a new document, to have 2 pages. Granted, I can just start off with a document with facing pages, but I don't really see the fun in that...

    Thanks, this is exactly what I wanted. Well, almost. I wish there were a way to simply set the number of pages in a master spread to a specific number the same way there is in the interface, but this will work just as well.

Is the registry in question in reference to REGEDIT, as i have tried to find the Listener_startup in here but cannot find it. can anyone tell me exactly where it is located and how i modify/check its setting.

    Yes, the listner_startup is modified with the regedit. Go for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE then for Oracle, after that ALL_HOMES. you will find the Listner_startup there. Set it to AUTO.

    Seperate text size modification is no longer available in Safari Reafer.
    Use Settings.
    Settings >General > Text Size
