How do i permanently delete some of the shortcuts that have ended up on my preferences like good becomes bad etc

I have some shortcuts on my keyboard settings I have repeatedly tried to get rid of - like good becomes replaced with bad - but they keep returning again. How do I permanently delete these and where?

Back up all data before proceeding.
This procedure will unlock all your user files (not system files) and reset their ownership, permissions, and access controls to the default. If you've intentionally set special values for those attributes on any of your files, they will be reverted. In that case, either stop here, or be prepared to recreate the settings if necessary. Do so only after verifying that those settings didn't cause the problem. If none of this is meaningful to you, you don't need to worry about it, but you do need to follow the instructions below.
Step 1
If you have more than one user, and the one in question is not an administrator, then go to Step 2.
Triple-click anywhere in the following line on this page to select it:
sudo find ~ $TMPDIR.. -exec chflags -h nouchg,nouappnd,noschg,nosappnd {} + -exec chown -h $UID {} + -exec chmod +rw {} + -exec chmod -h -N {} + -type d -exec chmod -h +x {} + 2>&-
Copy the selected text to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C.
Launch the built-in Terminal application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
Paste into the Terminal window by pressing command-V. I've tested these instructions only with the Safari web browser. If you use another browser, you may have to press the return key after pasting.
You'll be prompted for your login password, which won't be displayed when you type it. Type carefully and then press return. You may get a one-time warning to be careful. If you don’t have a login password, you’ll need to set one before you can run the command. If you see a message that your username "is not in the sudoers file," then you're not logged in as an administrator.
The command may take several minutes to run, depending on how many files you have. Wait for a new line ending in a dollar sign ($) to appear, then quit Terminal.
Step 2 (optional)
Take this step only if you have trouble with Step 1, if you prefer not to take it, or if it doesn't solve the problem.
Start up in Recovery mode. When the OS X Utilities screen appears, select
          Utilities ▹ Terminal
from the menu bar. A Terminal window will open. In that window, type this:
resetp
Press the tab key. The partial command you typed will automatically be completed to this:
resetpassword
Press return. A Reset Password window will open. You’re not going to reset a password.
Select your startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name) if not already selected.
Select your username from the menu labeled Select the user account if not already selected.
Under Reset Home Directory Permissions and ACLs, click the Reset button.
Select
           ▹ Restart
from the menu bar.

    Hi SarahElizabeth18,
If you are getting errors about there not being enough space on your device, you may want to check to see if Other data is unusually large. You may find the following article helpful:

  • How do you permanently delete trash in the deleted items folder?

I have over 4000 deleted emails in my deleted items folder. How do I permanently delete them from that folder? Thanks.

    Hello,
If you are talking about the Deleted Items folder in an Outlook client, you probably should ask in the
    Microsoft Office Community Forums.
Otherwise, I'd probably ask in the
    Outlook.com forum on Microsoft Community.
In both cases, however, you should be able to right click the Deleted Items folder and select "Empty Folder"

  • In a PrC, how to delete data from the PSA that have been loaded in Prcs Chn

    Hello,
In a process chain, how can I delete the data from the PSA that have been loaded within that process chain. I don't want to delete data that belongs to other business units that use the same datasource.
    Thanks,
    Andre

I dont think so you can achieve that, PSA is actually datasource dependent.
One you load from a datasource to PSA.That is accesible by multiple DTPs if you have created so.
As you said "I don't want to delete data that belongs to other business units that use the same datasource."
If you delete the PSA, you may have to repull the data from source system again and if thats delta it wont work out.
As said by above ppl you can include the "Delete PSA" in process chain but choose some 15 days buffer.
    Hope this helps.

If you are using iCloud, quit the Mail app if it's open.
    Open System Preferences > iCloud
Deselect Mail then re select it.
Relaunch the Mail app and try deleting mail.
If you aren't using iCloud. with the Mail app open, from the menu bar click Mailbox > Rebuild

  • How can I delete some of the gradients in my  gradient palette?

Does anyone know an easy means of getting rid of some of the gradients in the gradient palette. I'm using Photoshop CS3. Sometimes the graients I create are added to the palette, sometimes they are not, (regardless of whether of not I save them.) The palette is full of gradients at this stage, (some of which are default gradients I would never use.) There doesn't seem to be any logical way to get rid of some of the gradients that have been stored in the gradient palette.

There is easy and very logical way.
    1. Open dialog Gradient Editor.
    2. Right click on gradient which you don't like/need.
    3. Choose Delete Gradient. Repeat if needed. Add some new if you want to.
At that point you have gradients what you wanted. If you quit PS and start it again there will be no change in gradients editor dialog.
But sometimes things happen. Like someone else switches to other preset or use Reset Gradients or you need to use temporaly different gradient preset.
So to be able quickly set it your way.
    4. When done, press "Save..". Name it somehow somewhere.
Now (after restarting PS) in at Presets list's bottom will apear your favorite gradient preset. Choose it and when it asks "Replace current gradients...." press "OK".
    That's it.

  • How do i permanently delete books?

how do I permanently delete books from the cloud?

You can't, you can only hide them via your computer's iTunes : iTunes Store: Hiding and unhiding purchases - Apple Support
If you are using a Mac with Mavericks or Yosemite on it then hiding is done in a similar way but via iBooks, not iTunes.

How do I permanently delete books from the purchased area, I do not want them there permanently

You can't permanently delete any item from your purchase history, all you can do is hide them so that they don't show in the Purchased links for redownloading : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4919 - after hiding them on your computer's iTunes you may then need to log out of your account on your iPad and then log back in for them to be hidden from the Purchased tab (I've been needing to do that with apps on iOS 7)

I would imagine only the App developer or Apple could remove an app from the App Store.
You can delete apps from your phone. You can hide things in your purchase history using iTunes on your computer.
