How do I put photos

I have returned from a trip with about 800 photos & 40 videos (iPhone4s). After transferring them into my iPhoto library(OS X - 10.6.8) I found that the videos
were not in sequence with the photos and tended to cluster together. I want to know how to arrange them all in the order they were taken.

Thanks for your reply Terence. I followed your sequence & found that it was set that way already. But would it be a different scenario for videos?
I also tried dragging a video into its numerical & chronological slot but it sprang back. All photos are in numerical order but the videos drop out of
their numerical position as if a sergeant ordered all photos to stand in numerical order and all videos to move out of the photo lines and stand
in their numerical order but elsewhere on the parade square. Does that help?

You have a couple of options:
Open the photos one at a time and take a screenshot. This will add a new low resolution copy of the photo to the camera roll, which will then upload to your photo stream;
Email the photos a few at a time to yourself, then save the attached photos to your camera roll. This will add a copy of the photo at full resolution to your camera roll and upload to photo stream;
Use an app like PhotoSync, which will allow you to wirelessly transfer copies of all your old photos to your computer all at once. Then delete these photos from your camera roll and use PhotoSync to transfer them back from your computer to your camera roll. These will be the original resolution and will upload to your photo stream. (You need an app like this because iTunes will not transfer photos back to your camera roll, where they must be in order to add to your photo stream.)

I've been doing it through the Creative software, through the Zen Sleek Explorer, click on "Add Media" and add your pictures. I have also added pictures on the Sleek Photo through drag and dropand thirdly, through Windows Explorer, right click the pictures you want to transfer to the Sleek Photo and you'll get a menu entry "Transfer to Sleek Photo", that's the fastest way

A while ago I had over 6000 photos in camera, mostly screen shots. So i imported them and sorted them out into photos taken by the camera and screen shots, put them into different folders then put them onto my phone. So i have Camera Roll & Photo Stream, Photo Library (all my foldered photos combined) Folder 1 and Folder 2. Folder 1,2 and photo library cannot be deleted.

Importing only works for camera roll and when i go into tab photos and press sync, i think it deletes them because the GB decreases dramatically. Apple does. heh software is called Time Machine. But you have to turn it on. To give reasonable protection, you need a separate disk to store the Time Machine data, otherwise, a disk failure takes out the back up data as well.
Personally, I am a bit paranoid about back up and use a three tier strategy. I use a Mac Pro with four internal drives. One is dedicated to be a Time Machine target. That backs up changed files automatically, but it is still in the same machine. I also have a Drobo FS for network storage. I back up user data to that weekly. And then I use USB drives for monthly off-site storage.

I can put photos I take into the original album that comes with the phone. I created a new album and named it. I can then copy a photo from teh original album into the newly created album. When I go to delete the photo from the original album, it says that there are multiple copies that will be deleted. The photos will always be in the camera roll. There are not two copies, there are simply two places fomr which to access the same photos.
Just as a book can be in the library and in the fiction section, a photo is in camera roll and in the album you created.

Hi Sir Kelpie,
The Camera Roll on your iPad only contains pictures that you have taken with your iPad. To get pictures to download from your computer, you need to sync your iPad through iTunes, and sync whichever photos you have selected to be sync'd on the Photos tab.
Once you attach your iPad to iTunes, look at the photo tab. There you will see options to sync Albums, Events, etc. Select what you want to sync, and then sync them to your iPad.

The Camera Roll album only includes those photos taken by or saved to the iPod. Thus, if not taken by the iPod you have to save the phtos to the iPod such as email them to the iPod and then saving the photos to the Camera Roll album.
