How do I restrict the first slide from playing?

Could someone please tell me how to restrict my first slide from playing again. My app opens specified web pages with a button click. When I use the back button on my phone to close the web page, it goes back to the intro slide and plays it again. I would like the back button to bring the user back to the last page visited but I don't know how to do that. Please help.

my app has an intro slide, the next slide has several buttons on it. Each button opens a different website. when the user clicks a button the web site opens. When the user has finished reading the website they exit by using the back button on their phone. When they do, the app starts over again and plays the intro. I don't want it to play the intro over and over as the user comes back from the website. I want them to come back to the slide with all the buttons. I've tried several things but it always plays the intro slide again each time. I only want the intro to play once when they first open the app and then not play again. Can I do this?

Novice user here, but I can't seem to find an answer to this question. I've created a couple of slideshow, and have imported them to iDVD to burn the DVDs. When I play the show in iPhoto, they're fine. But when I play a finished DVD (or the demo of the DVD in iDVD), the first slide does not fade in like iPhoto did. It's a really jarring start. I fiddled with Ken Burns effects, but all that seems to do it effect how the slide ends, not how it starts.
How can I start the DVD slide show at black and fade the first slide in, just like iPhoto automatically did?
BTW ... haven't upgrade to the new iLife software yet if that helps.

if it were me, I think the simplest thing to do is take a photo with the lens cover on the camera, basically a black pic. Now use this one at the beginning of your DVD/Slide Show... or even between slides for a little more drama, if you wanted...

If you open the Pages panel, (Window>Pages) you will see thumbnails of your master pages and your document pages. In new documents, there is usually a master called A-Master and one called None. If you drag the thumbnail of the None master onto the thumbnail of a document page, it will apply that master to that page. Presumably, you have made your page numbers on A-Master, so this will usually do the trick. If you have elements on A-Master that you need on the first page, but just not the page number, you can duplicate A-Master (which, by default will give you B-Master, but you can change the names if you like) and remove the page number on the duplicate and apply that to the document page.
It might also be worth noting that you can apply master pages in the fly-out of the Pages panel. Go to the fly-out triangle and go down to Apply Master to Pages…, then select a master to apply and the range of pages (1-8 will give you all 8, 1, 3, 5, 7 will be the odds, 1-3, 4, 6-8 if you want continuous ranges and individual pages).

4) why do you test for an empty queue outside of that method?

6) don't use initial uppercase letters for method names.

If I understand you correctly, go to the skin editor (Project, Skin Editor in Captivate 4), select the Playback Control tab, uncheck the Progressbar check box. Leave checked the buttons for play/pause, rewind, forward, back, etc.

Beginner wants to know how you can on the first loop enter a value then let a feedback number take over from there

How can I on the first loop enter a number into the amplitude subsection of the simulated signal box, and then from that loop onwards use the feedback number?
I am using a simulated signal, tone measurements, and case structure with + or - calculations depending on orignal reading to control the amplitude to a user defined value.
Any help would be very much appreciated, as i have just started out on labview 7

That's the purpose of a shift register or feedback node. They are the same thing and interchangeable. Loop at the attached picture. You initialize either outside the while loop and then whatever calculations you perform, are passed to the next iteration.

How to delete the first page from a large number of documents

Hello all,
My company has migrated from Adobe Acrobat pro 8 to 11. In version 8 we had
used Document Processing to remove the first page from all pdf's within a
directory (5000+). This process took about an hour.
Now my research has led me to use Actions in version 11, however it appears
that the action require each document to be open and saved (one after another)
in Acrobat in order for the first page to be removed. This thrashing has made this process very
slow to the point where it's useable.
Is there any way to run actions from the command line
so time isn't wasted opening up each document in Acrobat?
Is there another way to quickly remove the first page
from a PDF in bulk?
I'm outside my expertise area here, so if you need any additional
information let me know.

Indeed, batch processing in Acrobat XI is inferior in many ways to what it was previously.

Interactivity is more than just reading and clicking, but that is not your question. Which version do you use? I will suppose it is the latest one, 8.0.1.242.
Answer was already in my first reply. Insert an interactive object: shape button, normal button or click box. They can pause the slide, typical pausing time (see Timing Properties panel) is at 1.5secs for shape buttons and other buttons, at the end of its timeline for the click boxes that are invisible to the user. Interactive objects have a Success and a Failure event, when they click on it the Success event is fired and that event can trigger an action like 'Go to Next Slide'. You'll find those actions in the Properties panel for that object, Actions tab. User can read or look as long as he wants, and only when he clicks that object he will move to the next slide. Since you'll probably want that object to be clicked to move to the next slide on every slide, I recommend to use a shape button. That is the only one that can be put on a master slide (maybe the main master slide), or on the first slide and timed for the rest of the project (Timing Properties panel). More details in this post:

DURIM - Okay. I would expect the "Cache Warning" message because your default directories would not be the same as the ones in the settings file I generated.
If you go back to the "7.0" directory and open the "Logs" folder, can you copy the "Audition Log.txt" file and send it as an attachment to [email protected]? We'll take a look in that logfile and see if it gives us more information about why this is failing now.
Also, do you have any other Adobe applications installed on this machine, such as Premiere Pro? If so, do they launch as expected or fail as well?
I do have the trial Pro version of Adobe reader, but I have not activated it, because I fear the same thing will happen did it. I cannot afford to activate the subscription for that product and take the chance of it not working either. I depend on those two programs religiously. Here is the files that you requested.
