How do I retrieve records from a table using JCO RFC Function Call

I am totally new to SAP Java Progamming. And I would like to know if I am writing code correctly. I read some tutorials in the Internet but I am still not sure if I am doing it the correct way.
This is what my vendor has given me.
My question is whether this is the correct optimum way to do get the customer detail based on an array of input values for the customer reference number.
Input:
I_CUSTNO - Any number customer IDs. This is a table similar to I_CUSTDETL
Output:
Structure name: I_CUSTDETL
Note: The CUSTID column has been added in the structure to identify the address of the relevant customer id

We can fetch the data by using the views concept.
Go throuth this info we can know the how to create view and same like database table only we can fetch the data.
Views conatin the data at runtime only.
Four different view types are supported. These differ in the
way in which the view is implemented and in the methods
permitted for accessing the view data.
Database views are implemented with an equivalent view on
the database.
Projection views are used to hide fields of a table (only
projection).
Help views can be used as selection method in search helps.
Maintenance views permit you to maintain the data
distributed
on several tables for one application object at one time.
step by step creation of Maintenance view:
With the help of the table maintenance generator, you are able to maintain the ENTRIES of the table in SM30 transaction.
It can be set in transaction SE11 - Tools - Table maintenance generator.
Table maintanance Generator is used to manually input values using transaction sm30
follow below steps
1) go to se11 check table maintanance check box under attributes tab
2) utilities-table maintanance Generator-> create function group and assign it under
function group input box. Also assign authorization group default &NC& .
3) select standard recording routine radio in table table mainitainence generator to move table
contents to quality and production by assigning it to request.
4) select maintaience type as single step.
5) maintainence screen as system generated numbers this dialog box appears when you click on create button
6) save and activate table
One step, two step in Table Maintenance Generator
Single step: Only overview screen is created i.e. the Table Maintenance Program will have only one screen where you can add, delete or edit records.
Two step: Two screens namely the overview screen and Single screen are created. The user can see the key fields in the first screen and can further go on to edit further details.
SM30 is used for table maintenance(addition or deletion of records),
For all the tables in SE11 for which Table maintenance is selected , they can be maintained in SM30
Sm30 is used to maintain the table ,i.e to delete ,insert or modify the field values and all..
It creates the maintenance screen for u for the aprticular table as the maintenance is not allowed for the table..
In the SE11 delivery and maintenance tab, keep the maintenance allowed..
Then come to the SM30 and then enter the table name and press maintain..,
Give the authorization group if necessary and give the function group and then select maintenance type as one step and give the screen numbers as system specified..
Then create,,,
Then u will able to see the maintenance view for the table in which u can able to insert and delete the table values...
We use SM30 transaction for entering values into any DB table.
First we create a table in SE11 and create the table maintenance generator for that Table using (utilities-> table maintenance generator) and create it.
Then it will create a View.
After that from SM30, enter the table name and Maintain, create new entries, change the existing entries for that table.

Hi,
Deleting a record from a standard table can be done only if table maintenance exists - Cehck tcode - SM30. But it is not advisable to delete records, coz the records may be dependent on many other tables. If u delete in a single place, there may be chance that inconsistency in the data happens and hence will affect ur financial statements.

You can mainly read records from MDM (in a DDIC structure) using ABAP API's using the following function modules/methods:
1. RETRIEVE: This is used to generically retrieve records from tables. Attributes and Values can also be retrieved.
2. RETRIEVE SIMPLE: Retrieve records from MDM in a simple way.( simple data types).
3. RETRIEVE CHECKOUT: Retrieves all checked out ID's.
4. RETRIEVE ATTRIBUTES: Retrieves attribute(s) from a Taxanomy table.
You will find all these methods in the following interface
Interface : IF_MDM_CORE_SERVICES

How to identify new records in a table using OBIEE

Hi,
I have price change table as and when a record comes into this table i have to generate an alert. Then show a report with the price changes on which i can invoke an action to go into my transactional system to make the chnage. And once the change is made the process again starts to look for any new price chnage records that are recieved.
Could anyone pls tell me how to identify new records in a table.

I have a main table which has taxonomy field,for ex: category.
Main table: Products which has ProductName(text),ProductNo(text),Category fields(Lookup[taxnomoy])
Could anyone please tell me how to retrieve the records and attributes from a taxonomy table.

your question is not so clear- any way find the following example
if you want to get records based on search criteria( ex: taxonomy values where ProductName = "something "),, follow the below steps;
1 . build Search Object- ( I guess you know this step)
2. get RecordResultSet Object -

I am having a big problem, trying to create datebase.
I have 3 tables: SUPERAVATAR, MASTERAVATAR, MEGAAVATAR.
- SuperAvatars are heroes in an online role playing gaming. They have an ID, superavatarID which contain an UNIQUE NUMBER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY to identify them.
A wisdom trickster,conjuror,magician, etc..
A current owner who is the user or player of the game and has that Super Avatar we associate the link to USERID to know the person.
SuperAvatars can be fathers or mothers of Mega Avatars.
-MegaAvatars are the children of SuperAvatars. They also have an ID UNIQUE NUMBER NOT NULL PRIMARY KEY to indentify them.
A magic power it can be a Leader or Sheep
A parent parent is the number identifying to know to who Super Avatar belongs.
e.g.

-We see MEGAAVATARID we choose the number 2. His magic power is as WIZARD and his father is the number 3.
We see SUPERAVATARID now we look up the SuperavatarID 3. We can see he has a wisdom GENIUS who belongs to the USERID 16 and he is father of MEGAAVATAR number 2.
The list can carry on and never stop.

What happen when we try to insert values to this table?
In this case we insert to User Table some examples:

Now, we insert to SuperAvatar some examples;

9 is the UserID that we already insert to the User table
Whats the problem?
We have to insert manually the data from USERID to CURRENTOWNER as we didnt match or link CURRENTOWNER from SUPERAVATAR Table to USERID from USER Table with a SQL CODE.
What happen if we have thousands of USERS that they register to this game? We will never know to how belongs that SUPERAVATAR but if someone do it manually can spend a year.
I am trying to fix this problem . I add in SUPERAVATAR TABLE CHECK in currentOwner..

you can use trigger on table USER and fill the userid in AVATAR.currentowner,
but i don't understand, how you join these tables ?
Which user id must come in which column currentowner ?

How to get missing records from one table

I have one table with many records in the table. Each time a record is entered the date the record was entered is also saved in the table.
I need a query that will find all the missing records in the table.
so if I have in my table:
ID          Date          Location
1           4/1/2015        bld1
2           4/2/2015        bld1
3           4/4/2015        bld1
I want to run a query like
Select Date, Location FROM [table] WHERE (Date Between '4/1/2015' and '4/4/2015') and (Location = bld1)
WHERE Date not in
(Select Date, Location FROM [table])
and the results would be:
4/3/2015   bld1

Do you have a table with all possible dates in it? You can do a left join from that to your above mentioned table where the right side of the join is null. If you don't have a table with all possible dates you could user a numbers table.
Below is one way to achieve what you want with a numbers table...

All I would do is, in SQL*Plus, spool your output to a file and change the pagesize to however many lines you want before the next header break.
For example:
SET PAGESIZE 79
SPOOL OUTPUT.TXT
Would create an output file called OUTPUT.TXT with header rows produced after every 79 rows of data.

How to fetch last record from the table to display in screen painter?

Hi Gurus,
              I have a requirement where i have to fetch the last record value in the table.
I have a screen where the TEXT name is REQUEST and I/P field name is REQ and SAVE push button.
In this I/P field automatically 1 should display when i excecute the program and when i save this, the request number should turn to 2 that is dynamically..once agin save then 3 and so on....and this 1, 2, 3 will be storeing in table.
I have succeeded till generating the values dynamically and saving in the table like 1 is displayed and when i click save it is changeing to 2..but the problem is when i am coming out of program and logon again the request number is again displaying as 1 rather it has to start with 4 because already 3 request are there in the table.
My code is...

req = zsave-req.
PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT

Can you tell me, when updaing the ZSAVE table with the counter value are you modifying the exisiting value or inserting the value as new record?
From the code in your first post, i see that you are extracting records into internal table but when you are moving to variable REQ, you are moving from table work area which is blank, so everytime when you execute it may be starting as 0.

- please try to post code formatted as code
- splitting a table of 10000 records into 10 tables of 1000 records will use not less memory at all, even a little bit more for the administrative overhead
- the numer of lines in an internal table can determinde used system function lines( itab )
- you can create an internal table of references and then create any number of internal tables,
data:
lt_tabref type table of ref to data.
field-symbols:
<table> type table,
<tabref> type ref to data.
DO 10 TIMES.
append initial line to lt_tabref assigning <tabref>.
create data <tabref> type table of usrefus.
assign <tabref>->* to <table>.
perform fill_table changing <table>."fill this table as you prefer
ENDDO.
Here you have 10 internal tables with USREFUS structure.

3. Internal table is further binded to the node in which data is to be shown.

CALL METHOD lo_nd->get_selected_elements <here selected data is moved to lt_temp>
   RECEIVING
       set = lt_temp.
loop at lt_temp INTO wa_temp.
      CALL METHOD wa_temp->get_static_attributes
      IMPORTING
        static_attributes = ls_node1.       <Selected data in work area.>
    APPEND ls_node1 TO lt_node1. < Data moved to internal Table>
    CLEAR ls_node1.
ENDLOOP.
Finally Internal table is binded to the node required.
lo_nd1 = wd_context->get_child_node('CN_MAIN2').
lo_nd1->bind_table( lt_node1 ).
In your case , map this CN_MAIN2 with the Component Controller and from component controller you can access data in your second view also.

Hi, Damby,
That sounds like what the UPDATE statement does, exactly. Just use an UPDATE statement to change any number of columns in existing rows. You don't need a procedure, but, if you're using a procedure for some other reason, you can do the UPDATE in the procedure. UPDATE works the same in SQL or PL/SQL.
Sometimes MERGE is more convenient than UPDATE. Like UPDATE, it can change any number of columns, either in SQL or PL/SQL.
I hope this answers your question.
If not, post a little sample data (CREATE TABLE and INSERT statements, relevant columns only) for all the tables involved, and the results you want from that data.
In the case of a DML operation (such as UPDATE) the sample data should show what the tables are like before the DML, and the results will be the contents of the changed table(s) after the DML.
Explain, using specific examples, how you get those results from that data.

Delete records from internal table using another internal table

HI,
I have two internal tables itab1 and itab2 which have same records initially.Later some records of itab2 are deleted .Then i want to delete those records from itab1 also ie,those records not found in itab2 .Is there any method other than looping.
So that itab1 again becomes equal to itab2.

Before deleting the records from itab2 move those records to one more internal table itab3.
Now you have deleted records of itab2 in itab3.
SORT ITAB3,ITAB1 by your main key field.
LOOP AT itab3.
READ TABLE ITAB1 WITH KEY key field = itab3-
keyfield.
IF sy-subrc EQ 0.
DELETE itab1 where keyfield eq itab3-keyfield.
ENDIF.
ENDLOOP.
