How do I switch to a previous Java plug-in?
How do I switch to a previous Java plug-in? I want to use 1.3 not 1.4, but I'm not sure how to change that without uninstalling 1.4.

Once you installed 1.4 on top of 1.3, you updated the default plugin registry key to point to 1.4 (assuming you're running on Windows). So any web page that specifies this default key in it's HTML will automatically run the 1.4 plugin.
If these are your applets, you can specify the specific key for 1.3, and then 1.3 will be loaded even though the default is 1.4. This link gives some more information: http://java.sun.com/products/plugin/versions.html
If you just want to run all applets with 1.3, the easiest thing to do is to re-install 1.3. The default key points to whatever plugin was last installed. You could modify the registry keys yourself, but there are about 15 or more keys involved. There's no easy way to do it from the 1.4 control panel, at least none that I can find.

Click on the Products and API link at the top left of this page. Download the Java Plugin. Be sure to get the developers version. Inside that developer's version there is a tool called HTMLConverter. Run HTMLConverter on your HTML and it will modify the applet tag in such a way that if the user already has the Java Plugin then it will use it. IF not, then the user will be asked if he wants to download it.

JAI extension automatic installation fail with Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01
Hi everyone,
i have a html page with an applet that use the JAI (Java Advanced imaging) extension. I used to run it with java plug-in 1.3.1_03.
When the JAI extension was not installed, it was automatically downloaded and installed. I use the sun "Signed Auto Installation for browsers" jar available on the JAI download page.
But with Java Plug-in 1.4.1_01, it seems to have a security problem. Is the "Signed Auto Installation for browsers" only java plug-in 1.3 compatible or is there a way to install it with 1.4.
If anyone has encountered the same problem with another extension, it could help me to know how to have it installed automatically with java Plug-in 1.4.
I tested on IE 4 and 6 on Windows NT4 & IE 6 on Windows 2000, and i have the same results.

How can I revert back to a previous Java Update
I am having issues with my software since the last java update. At the moment the only option i see to fix this issue is by reverting back to my previous java update. Please please tell me how to do this. Apple's decision to bundle java into the the OS is really quite frustrating. Not easy to have multiple versions of java on the same system.

How do you switch between 64-bit and 32-bit Java configuration?
I've downloaded the latest Java plug-in for an online service, but when I go to run the service on Safari or Firefox browsers, I get a message that 32-bit Java is needed and my machine is running 64-bit. How do you switch back and forth?
Similar concern here. No 64 bit version. I purchased the Photoshop CS5 downloadable upgrade. I have installed the program but only see the 32 bit version. Image / Mode shows 8, 16 and 32 bit versions and no 64 bit.
Start Programs offers only a single version of Photoshop which based on the splash screen is 32 bits. Did I miss something during the install?

Only one track is downloaded per album on itunes on my iphone 5. Every time I download a new track it deletes the previously downloaded track on that album. Why is this happening and how can I switch it off?
Most YouTube content requires the Flash plugin. Sometimes it's necessary to uninstall then reinstall that plugin.
Uninstall the Flash plugin then reinstall new > Troubleshoot Flash Player | Mac OS
Very important to uninstall the currently installed plugin first.
Now launch Safari and try a video.
If you have the ClickToFlash extension installed, that can prevent Flash based video from streaming. It can also be installed as a plugin in /Library/Internet-Plug-Ins.
And check to see if Safari is running in 32 bit mode. Right or control click the Safari icon in your Applications folder then click Get Info. If the box next to: Open in 32 bit mode is selected, deselect, quit then relaunch Safari.
You may also need to delete the cache associated with Safari .
Open the Finder. From the Finder menu bar click Go > Go to Folder
Type or copy/paste: ~/Library/Caches/com.apple.Safari
Click Go the move the Cache.db file from the com.apple.Safari folder to the Trash.
Quit and relaunch Safari. Try a video. -

You don't. Apps are forever tied to the Apple ID used to originally obtain them & cannot be transferred to another Apple ID. You need to purchase the app using your ID.

How do you switch between JRE v1.4.x and v1.5.x
Java 2 Runtime Environment, v1.5.0_02-b09 Control Panel doesn't appear to let user switch back to a 1.4.x version. Hoping someone can can me how to do this.
I have an application that uses JRE 1.4.2 and does not allow user into the interface until they switch their configuration to the 1.4.2 version by going to Start > Settings > Control Panel > Java Plug-in, selecting the Advanced tab and choosing the 1.4.2 version from the pull down provided in the Java Runtime Environment Section. This process worked fine if the user had v 1.4.x or lower, but does not work now that users have v1.5.x due to the changes in the Control Panel. Does anyone know the equivalent procedure with the new 1.5.x Control Panel so user can specify 1.4.x? (I did play around with the setting in the Java tab, Java Application Runtime Settings section to no avail.) Thanks.We have had backwards compatibility problems before and must ensure that the product we deliver works for our user community due to the nature of the product. We have compiled our code with 1.4.2 and test internally with 1.4.2_04. In addition, the product that we deliver is in maintenance mode and is not currently funded for development/updates - just need to let the users who have updated to 1.5.x know how to switch back and forth between 1.4.x and 1.5.x. Currently, I can only tell them to remove 1.5.x, which is not desirable.

Why the shortcut of switch to next/previous tab(ctr+tab) doesn't work?(firefox 6)
I recently update firefox 6.0 version, but I can't use the shortcut(ctr+tab) to switch to next/previous tab. I download an extension called Customizable Shortcuts, also I can't find the item of witch to next/previous tab in it.
How can I fix this problem? It is really necessary for me.Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

You need to deactivate it from PC,
When you install it on the third computer or for the third time & when you to activate it, if it installed & activated already twice, there will be an option of deactivating it from the previous computers, please click on that.(To deactivate from preinstalled machine, Open any Adobe CC application > Help Menu > Signout.)
Next it will allow you to activate on your new machine,
Now you can go back to your first computer, log out & log back in of Desktopp CC App, launch any product, if there is any product to buy, in that prompt there will be an option to " license the software", please click on that & sign in.
It will reactivate the CC on the first machine.
You have already deactivated it from one machine, hence you can activate it on third computer.

Thanks in advance..........I'm not understanding the confusion. Instead of storing a picture you are storing a certificate. Treat it as a blob of data. You will send data, approx 250 bytes in length, then send the next blob beginning from previous offset, etc. On the card, you store data into a large byte array beginning at the offsets. Read the picture sample again.
You would generate the key pair using the KeyPair class. Send that public key to the CA and store the cert returned from the CA.
If you are attempting PKCS#15, I wouldn't go that route until you understand Java Cards and the PKCS specification.
