My mom put parental controls on my I pad but said I am old enough to take them off no but she forgot the password so how would I fix that

Hi and thanks. The password on the old iCloud account doesn't work and my ex-husband says he doesn't know what it is -- and that he's not getting emails to reset the password. I tried using the rescue questions and even the birthdate isn't working. I think he's changed it to keep me out, but it's charging my credit card account.

What you have on your computer is your iTunes library, not your "account." The "account" you have for iTunes is your Apple ID, which you use when purchasing or downloading from the iTunes Store. If these songs came from music CDs that you imported into iTunes, those songs are not related to your Apple ID.

You will have to prove your identity before they will reset the password.

I'm curious where you got the values of "approx 350 Mb each"? These apps are now embedded into iOS and AFAIK, their app sizes are not reported as user-downloaded apps are.

David, I have a similar issue but I am still running into a road block. I have had an account with apple for email since before 2005 and it was perfect for that moment in life. Well, my valid email address is my icloud account ([email protected]) This email is what would be my primary email in the account. I want a new apple ID and new email. How do I proceed? If you don't have access to your rescue email account (an alternate email address is a different address/setting on your account) then you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get the questions reset.

I notice you are looking for solutions other than restoring, the article does outline how you can use iCloud's Find My iPhone:
If you have Find My iPhone enabled, you can use Remote Wipe to erase the contents of your device. If you have been using iCloud to back up, you may be able to restore the most recent backup to reset the passcode after the device has been erased.

Sorry, no way around Activation Lock. If there was, it wouldn't be much of a security feature. You need the original owner to disassociate it from their account or you have a very expensive doorstop.

How to erase a Mac Pro for selling when you don't have the discs

I have a Mac Pro 1,1 that I'd like to sell, so I need to remove all information from the HD, BUT none of the disc I have seem to work to install from.
I have several Macs and so have a lot of discs.....but none of them will work when I restart holding down C, or Command + R.
I have gone to Disc Utility and can't select the HD to erase, because it seems to be greyed out.
I have on original discs:

10.4.7
10.5
10.5.6
10.6.3
all discs I either got with Mac's or purchased...!
What's the solution?
All I want is to be able to sell the machine with some working OS on it?

The 10.6.3 disc would be the best. You will need a wired keyboard plugged directly into a USB port on the chassis, not on a display or any Hub.
I am using wired kb.
If you hold down Alt/Option key at Startup, that should invoke the Startup Manager, and slowly draw an icon for each potentially bootable Volume. Choose the one you want and tell it to proceed.
So, right after I hear the chime, I should hold down "option"? How long should this take? A few times the computer seemed to freeze when doing this, and I just held down the power button for 10 sec to start over (I had a grey screen for a few minutes)...other times, it seems to just bypass the whole option and just restart normally?
Answer only the "what language" question and do not install. Wait for the menuBar to be drawn, then choose Disk Utility off a menu.

That iPad was set up be an educational institution and those restrictions were placed on the iPad by them so students were limited to what they can do with the iPad. If you purchased this iPad from a store take the unit back for a replacement. If you purchased this iPad second hand return it to that person and ask for your money back.
