How do i use variables for javascript pop up window?

i want to open a popup window from flash,
as advised before i used this line :
getURL("javascript:NewWindow=window.open('imylink.html','title','width=890,height=660,left =10,top=5,toolbar=No,location=No,scrollbars=Yes,status=No,resizable=Yes,fullscreen=No');

BUT, in flash, the URL that has to be open as do the height
and wdth are stored as variable... imageURL, imageWidth,
imageHeight, since i have quite a few different pages that have to
open and they change. how can i use the values of the variables in
the javascript code??

you could set up a database table holding processing parameters (i.e. Column1 - ParamName, Column2 - ParamValue).
One row could then be ParamName = FilePath, ParamValue = \\<server>\folder\
So, the refreshing query (attached to a logical schema) would be something like SELECT ParamValue FROM <your table> WHERE ParamName ='FilePath'
Then, create a variable which can refresh from the database and in the package, drop the variable onto the flow and set it's type to 'Refresh Variable' in the properties.

I'm using 9 textbox in my stage. Names are similar, only difference is the last character. (s1_0, s1_1, s1_2, ...). I'm trying to use these textbox in a loop. But I couldn't find the right typing... s1_[i], s1_(i) or s1_{i} gives error.

Using variables in a pop up window?

I created a workflow with
1. Get Value of Variable’
2. New folder
So when run a box pops up (that says ‘New Folder’ in the title bar), you type in a name & it creates a new folder with that name.
Instead of the small window that says ‘New Folder’ in the title bar I’d like something like the ‘Ask for Confirmation’ window to pop up where I could add some more descriptive text.
For example a window would pop up with the text:
“Please enter a name for the folder where the photos will be copied to”.
After creating the folder with the name that was typed I’d add more actions to the workflow.
Does anyone know if this is possible, & if so how?

Hi,
Using the Parameters is the correct method to pass data into and out of a sub sequence. You assign your data to be passed into or out of a Sequence when you are in the Edit Sequence Call dialog and in the Sequence Parameter list.

How to create Presentation variable for columns and to use it in Narrative?

Anybody know how to create presentation variable for a column (i.e., i need to create it in edit formula section itself). And then, I should use it in Narrative section to display that column value. Is it possible? Or do i need to use any other variable for this requirement? If so please let me know, how to create it? This is very urgent requirement.

I think we can create this type of report using either Narrative or Static Text. But I am not sure whether it is possible or not? And also another thing is that sectioning is applied for SUID Tag # column. So, depending on the dashboard prompt if the SUID Tag # retrieves two or more values.
Then the first value for example 123456     and the values for the other columns related to this SUID Tag # value should display in the first page (i.e., page 1). And if the next value of the SUID Tag # for example say 678901 then the values should move to second page that is like this:
     SUID Tag # :678901               Year Mfg: 2008
     Description: Computer Manufacturing FA ID#: 4577
     Model Number: 4570 hESC: #eth

How do I disable "Exceptions" button for "Block pop-up windows" in Content tab?. I am able to Disable other Exception buttons in this tab using about:config preference.

Need a way to disable "Exception" button for "Block Pop-up windows" in Tools-> Options -> Content tab. I want to be able to do this for Locking Down Firefox preferences.

That button doesn't have a pref associated with it, so you can't disable that button with a pref on the about:config page or a lockPref call.
That only leaves the choice to remove that button with code in userChrome.css

Using variables for answers to fill-in-the-blank questions

Hello,
For fill-in-the-blank questions, one has to provide answers. I want to provide these in the form of (user-created) variables, rather than in the form of fixed strings of characters (so then, as $$var1$$ rather than as 'rabbit'). I haven't been able to get this to work. The enter variable function is indeed available (in the properties panel), but it doesn't actually work (i.e. even if you select a variable to be entered, it doesn't actually get entered).
Is there a way around the problem?
1. NB that this same issue holds for text entry boxes (rather than fill-in-the-blank questions). If I could get this to work for text entry boxes, I would use them rather than fill-in-the-blank questions.
2. One can use variables for answers to multiple choice questions. So I'm hoping I can get it to work for fill-in-the-blank questions as well.

That would have been my suggestion. I don't have a dedicated blog post, but use TEB's for that kind of questions myself as well. And contrary to the widget/interaction I mentioned before, a TEB is an interactive object, which means it can be validated and there can be a score attached to it. But, it will not help you, since you have to add the correct answers in the same way as for a dropdown list in the FIB question (they are sort of TEB's there). And it is that list that doesn't allow to enter a variable instead of a fixed sequence of characters.
Which means that you are back to the advanced actions, same as in my blog posts with the widget/interaction.
Have a workaround (after all I am the workaround Queen) to have reporting, if you need to check only one TEB, described here:

The idea is to use another interactive object that can have a score. In reality I use two instances of that same object: one with score 0 and one with score X and show the right one depending on the conditional action.
However if you want to have multiple TEB's on the same slide, that have to be checked all with the same advanced action, than you'll need either the Mastery widget by InfoSemantics (only for SWF output) or Javascript.

iBooks can only read two formats -- .epub and pdf. So you have to convert your lecture notes or powerpoints to one of those. To do that, check the Save, Export, or Share functions of whatever app you are using to create your notes.

You can write a custom SQL query and map it to an object as needed. You can also use the Toplink query language "anyOf" or "get" commands to map two tables as long as you map them as one to one (get command) or one to many (anyOf command) in the toplink mapping workbench.

OCI is available for all versions of Oracle including Oracle
7/8/8i etc. However it is not installed by default with these
versions. I am assuming that the default 9i installation
includes OCI. You should be able to install OCI for other
versions through one of the development platforms e.g. ProC/C++
etc.

I will try to answer based on my experience of working with iProcurement and AME. It depends on how you want to make a call to AME , directly from OAF Page or from Workflow and your requirement. You didn't specify what you want to show the users on OAF Page and your business requirement.
Before calling AME Engine from the OAF page or workflow, I guess you did already setup AME Transaction Type and it's Approval Groups, Conditions, Action Types and Rules. Do some testing from AME Business Analyst Test Workbench. Please note that, AME provides lot of PL/SQL API's that you have to call from your programs (java or workflow pl/sql)
Let's look at the workflow and putting an OAF Page as notification.
As Sameer said, you have kick-off workflow process from PR of CO and with in the workflow function, you make a call to AME Engine API's with the AME Transaction ID. This transactionId belongs to the AME Transsaction Type that you setup. Based on the rules setup, AME Engine generates list of approvers/approver and stores them AME Tables for that transactionId. Then, it sends a notification to the approver.
In the workflow, where that notification is defined, in the message body you have to put an attribute(&XX_WF_FWK_RN) of type document/send. And this attribute will have the constant JSP:/OA_HTML/OA.jsp?OAFunc=XX_FUNC&paramId=-&DOCUMENT_ID-. This function is SSWA Jsp function that makes a web html call to your OAF Region.
If your requirement is to just show the list of approvers on the OAF Page, you may have to call AME API diectly passing your AME TrasnactionId with other parameters. Then AME generates list of approvers and stores them in AME tables with each approver status. You can pickup those approvers using VO and show them on OAF Page.
Hope this gives some idea.
