Using variables in a pop up window?
I created a workflow with
1. Get Value of Variable’
2. New folder
So when run a box pops up (that says ‘New Folder’ in the title bar), you type in a name & it creates a new folder with that name.
Instead of the small window that says ‘New Folder’ in the title bar I’d like something like the ‘Ask for Confirmation’ window to pop up where I could add some more descriptive text.
For example a window would pop up with the text:
“Please enter a name for the folder where the photos will be copied to”.
After creating the folder with the name that was typed I’d add more actions to the workflow.
Does anyone know if this is possible, & if so how?

I changed styles of theme, now orgchart uses corporative colours, but pop-up windows, like Actions->Parameters has default themes colurs. I need to change their background etc on corporative clours if it's possible.

I'm pretty sure that these are not Flex controlled and will either be controlled by CSS or by XSL, depending on the pop-up (but most likely CSS). It migt be t hat some XSL do not have CSS so they just use the system default settings.
If you can clarify which pop-ups you mean that we might be able to help.

How to Pass Variables from One Application to Another Pop Up Window
Hi,
I am wondering if anyone on the list has tried calling up a
pop up manager, and have two other variables imported for secondary
usage. I have tried using [Bindable], but this does not seem to be
working, and I am still getting errors that tells me that the
variables are "not defined" when it gets passed to another
HTTPService. I tried embedding the Pop Up Manager in the same
application as the one that is supposed to "pass the variables,"
but it no longer acts as a pop up window.
Could anyone please tell me where I can find the answers for
this?

I am trying to display some data on the Child window that
would need to take the data from the parent titleWindow, which
could be drop down menus, text labels or combo boxes. I would need
to use a HTTPService on the child dialog box to accomplish task I
think, but the problem is, how would I get the information from its
parent window? The example I have are all about how the text input
from the child window gets feed back to the parent.
Would I need to create a "reverse" declaration or something
so I can access the information from the parent in the child
window?

Would appreciate in connecting Remote App on iPad to iTunes. It used to work find, before iTunes 11.0 - but now pop up window to input 4 digit code does not appear. Any ideas how to prompt window to open on iMac? Remote App works OK, but says that Home Sharing is not Turned On, although it is. Both devices are logged into my profile account.
You no longer need the 4 digit code in iTunes 11.

Open iTunes on your Mac or PC.
iTunes 11 or newer: Turn on Home Sharing in iTunes by going to File > Home Sharing> Turn on Home Sharing.

I can't connect to my school's free wifi. i was able to do it before but not anymore i get the self assign ip addrees message .it has no password only a pop up window before you connect to agree to school terms for wifi use. i don't get that window anymore. i tried everything I can think of. It is a 2010 macbook pro but i recentrly updated to osx lion and even with lion it was working fine so I nkow it is not the update. also Im able to connect to other internets at home it works great. starbucks too. but i became so frustated that i reset my computer to manufactuter setting and reinstall snow leopard on it. still I cant connect. I need help please i have been searching all over the web for help and i see people has been having this same problem for years now.. oh yeah and i know it is not the internet cuz there are other macs connecting to it without a single problem so i think it is an isolated problem plase help....i have follow many advises such as delete the internet from your prefered netwoks. restar your commputer etc etc.
Be sure Safari does not have the Block Pop-Up Windows preference set.
Where I work now there are several unencrypted VLANs that require authentication, and Safari promptly pops up a window for me to register every time. -
I have just started to use Muse for our design agency and learning how to build ourselves a new site, I have managed to create a basic lightbox which contains sliding images, what I need to do now is have a pop up window which goes into detail about the projects, what I would like is a piece of text or icon that when you roll over it and then click a separate window pops up with additional information in, once finished reading the info you can then click to close the box, any advice on how to do this?
The best way to do what you're asking is with the Composition widget. Start with the Tooltip preset, which, by default shows the info on rollover. You can change the option to show on click, which is what you're after. You can also add the close button or have the info disappear on rollout.

PaoloIs this regarding OAF ? if this is a requirement in OAF, then its not possible(unless you put in some javascript function in the page).
If you want to do it in other jsps there are a lot of examples available in google on how to do this.

Hello I wonder if anyone knows how to find, download and install a suitable IPA (phonetics) font for the MacBook Air? I need to be able to use a pop up window of fonts.
Unless you've done anything to change it, Google keeps every email that ever passes through their server in your All Mail folder/mailbox/label. Even if you delete stuff, they hold onto it, there. You have to go out of your way to actually delete anything permanently.

I'm not sure you can use a button like that, at least not without creating a custom button template, but then it wouldn't really be a button anymore. The standard popup function in ApEx is html_PopUp. It's signature is:
html_PopUp(pURL,pName,pWidth,pHeight,pScroll,pResizable)
It essentially encapsulates a call to window.open and can be called from a button with:
javascript:html_PopUp('http://www.google.com');
If you want to learn more do a Google search on "javascript window.open".

In email, one could hover over the Name of the Sender. Then in a pop up window one could select "email" which would list all previous messages to and from the Sender. This option has stopped working.

I block pop ups except for allowed sites, but on the allowed sites, the pop up windows don't appear unless I use Exposé, then when I click on the one in Exposé, it just returns to the open Firefox browser.

I don't suspect Malware yet, Id guess Disk corruption or failing Hard Drive with Files not found.
Could be many things, we should start with this...
"Try Disk Utility
1. Insert the Mac OS X Install disc, then restart the computer while holding the C key.
2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu at top of the screen. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, you must select your language first.)
*Important: Do not click Continue in the first screen of the Installer. If you do, you must restart from the disc again to access Disk Utility.*
3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
