How do you get a list of events in a Calendar in Mountain Lion?

I use a lot of calendars in Calendar to organize events. I am trying to consolidate these calendars because I have been having weird issues such as two calendars being linked to each other in a strange way. I want to move events into new calendars and delete the old calendars once I am certain they are empty. To do this, I want to be able to list all events in a given calendar. (Not page through month by month.) You used to be able to do this by searching for "." This no longer works.  How can I get a list of all events in a single calendar?

If you are moving from an On My Mac Calendar to another On My Mac calendar or to an iCloud Calendar, you can use this AppleScript:
tell application "Calendar"
move events of calendar "Source" to calendar "Destination"
end tell
When I tried to move from an iCloud Calendar, Calendar got a server error.
Further testing and it will move to an iCloud, but not iCloud to iCloud. Also, it doesn't move, although it looks that way. Once you close and open Calendar, it has the events in both locations.

Log into your online account. In the, 'I want to', box type, Manage Contacts.
Place your cursor over any contact, a pop screen will appear with the option to print your contacts

    Michael,
The only way that I know of is to print a list.
Just select print and choose "View" (List) and make your choices in Options.

I think that in general, the Alerts do not show if the program is in the foreground and is active.  Try putting Twitter behind another program and see what happens.

  • How do I find a past event(s) in calendar on mountain lion

How do I find a past event(s) in calendar on mountain lion without manually going back day by day? I would ike to be able to use Calendar as a searchable log.  I do not care about syncing with iOS, just finding an event or notes in an event, such as "oil change", "research paper turned in", "dr. appt."  The find function only works on future evernts.

I tried the "year" view, but it makes not difference.  A Spotlight search does not present the info in a calendar format, only in an events and reminders format. It also only seems to be finding the "today" view, but it is impossible to be sure since it only shows a time for the event but no date.  There has to be a way to find the last time or all the times I made a Dr.'s appointment without going through an entire year or more day by day.

  • How do you get a list of all the trigger DDLs?

I want to get a list of all the DB trigger DDLs of owner 'ABS'. I want to do it using 1 SQL statement.
    This is what I ran:
    SELECT
    TO_CHAR(DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TRIGGER', TRIGGER_NAME, 'ABS'))
    FROM
    ALL_TRIGGERS
    WHERE
    OWNER = 'ABS';
    I get this error: [1]:
(Error): ORA-22835: Buffer too small for CLOB to CHAR or BLOB to RAW conversion (actual: 4414, maximum: 4000)
Then I looked up in the web and they ask to use DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR instead. So I do that:
    SELECT
    DBMS_LOB.SUBSTR(DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TRIGGER', TRIGGER_NAME, 'ABS'), 32767, 1)
    FROM
    ALL_TRIGGERS
    WHERE
    OWNER = 'ABS';
    Now I get this error:
[1]: (Error): ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small ORA-06512: at line 1
Looks like you cannot show more than *4000* chars. There are 43 triggers whose DDL is more than 4000 chars long.
    Why is this?
How can I solve my problem?

Herald, fantastic news. SET LONG did the trick.
But I had to put a very big value. 32000 was not enough. Otherwise some of the triggers (big ones) got cut off.
This is my complete code which did it.
    SPOOL F:\Channa\zz_zzTemp\Binuka\OutPut.txt
    set trimspool on
    set pages 0
    set long *1000000000*
    set linesize 32767
    SET TERMOUT OFF
    SELECT DBMS_METADATA.GET_DDL('TRIGGER', TRIGGER_NAME, 'ABS')
    FROM ALL_TRIGGERS
WHERE OWNER = 'ABS' AND trigger_name NOT LIKE 'BIN$%'
    SPOOL OUT
THANKS A LOT. REALLY APPRECIATE IT.
P.S: I had to include the NOT LIKE 'BIN$%' in the where clause because otherwise I got this error:
    ERROR:
ORA-31603: object *"BIN$cqXDSqghrFngQKjAJAovgw==$0"* of type TRIGGER not found in
    schema "ABS"
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_SYS_ERROR", line 105
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA", line 2805
    ORA-06512: at "SYS.DBMS_METADATA", line 4333
    ORA-06512: at line 1
    no rows selected
I THINK BIN$... triggers are dropped triggers in the DB recycle bin???

  • How do you change color of an event in a calendar in ical

how do I change the color of an EVENTt in ical

    boivinr wrote:
PLEASE APPLE ADD COLOR TAGGING TO EVENTS!!!
Um, color tagging events has always been a feature of iCal. Go into iCal. In the upper left-hand corner it says "Calendars." Go under "File" and create a new Calendar--iCal will give it a color, but you can change that. If you do this in iCloud, you simply pick "edit" and click on the color, and you've a huge range of choices as to what color you want it to be.
So, now you've got calendars--the family events calendar (named "Family") the "Days Off" calendar and the "Appointments" calendar...each with their own color. You can see them all when you click on "calendars" there on the left-hand side. And, in your case, can create calendars for each person at your work to know when they'll be on or off work. "John's calendar" and "Susan's calendar."
You create an event, and among the choices you have (date, time, alert, notes) is one that says: "Calendar." It will show the default calendar with it's color, but offer you up and down arrows to pick a different calendar (you can change the default calendar, by the way, under preferences). You use those arrows and pick "John" calendar and the "event" of John being on-shift from 10pm-10am on December 12th appears on the calendar in orange. Create an event and give it the "Susan Off" calendar and her time off will appear in green. Give several events the "appointment" calendar and they'll all be blue (or whatever colors you've picked for these things).
    Yes?
Now whether you can sync your iCal to Google and match up the colors is a whole other story. But you can--and have for as long as I can remember---color code your iCal events.

  • How do you schedule 3 week  recurring events in the calendar ?

How do you schedule an event in the calendar every 3 weeks ? I work a schedule that reoccurs every 3 weeks.

Unfortunatley there are certain repetitions that the iPad can't create. However if you make them elsewhere and import it onto the iPad, it'll respect it. So if you sync with a computer, make your appointment there and then import that onto the iPad and it'll be on your calendar.

I updated the printer's firmware, but still get an error message saying "You need to install software to use this printer. To install the software, choose Software Update from the Apple menu. • HT200158 How do you to access Microsoft windows 7 files systems from OSX mountain lion

http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4697 describes how to enable access to Microsoft windows file systems from an OSX lion system.
Mountain lion does not have this entry.
Now that I have a mac with Mountain LIon installed,
how do acces the files on a Microsoft windows 7 system that I have previously accessed?

Well as I pointed out in my post, "Sadly, my Text Edit documents are still all there, every single time I opened them and made a small change, there is another copy stretching all the way back to the day I installed Mountain Lion." so if you can explain to me how July 26 - Aug 16 is a week, I will concede that it is a good idea. Short of that, no I have been capable of making my own backups since I was 16 years old (16 years ago) I don't need my computer to endlessly do it for me in a way I am completely unable to shut off. That's what I have external hard drives, flash drives, a DVD burner, Drop Box, E-mail (as in emailing copies to myself) and icloud for. If I am doing something and I don't have access to a single one of those options, I don't know why I brought my computer with me in the first place. And I don't see how you can say it's an illusory gain in disk space, hundreds of copies of text documents, garageband files, Final Cut files, Motion Files and basically any program that makes files onto my comptuer that I can myself make incremental changes to, those all need to be stored somehow. Again, if you can explain to me how July 26 - Aug 16 is a week, I will agree with you that that is a good thing because IF it only saved for a week, it wouldn't be an issue. Sadly, no matter how many links you post, I still have text edit backups stretching from today back to July 26. They're not going away and I have no reason to beleive any other file I edit is going to go away either since they haven't been. They're all there eating up HD space and this imaginary "week" limit is simply not coming into effect. I hate it and there needs to be a simple way to simply shut it off. I didn't spend hundreds of dollars on external drives just for my main hard drive to be filled up with hundreds un useless, undeletable backups of stuff I already have backed up.

  • How do you update to the new Java 10.7 after the Mountain Lion upgrade?

I recently downloaded the OS X Mountain Lion, I need the Java version 10.7 for gaming purposes. When i go to Java preferences the latest version is Java SE 6, so I tried to do a "software update" but there is no update available.

While we all have MacBooks in this forum most of us don’t run Mountain Lion. There's a Mountain Lion Support Community where everybody has Mountain Lion. You should also post this question there to increase your chances of getting an answer. https://discussions.apple.com/community/mac_os/os_x_mountain_lion
