You do the same thing, but now your open apps are displayed in a window view. Swipe left/right to find the app you want to stop, then swipe the app up to remove it. By the way, this doesn't turn off the internet. It only removes the app from memory that may be accessing the internet.

You can turn iMessage off on your iPhone. That's relatively easy. Since iMessage is an Apple product/service, I have no idea how a Samsung phone will deal with an incoming one. For that answer you should probably contact Samsung support.

I am trying to move my Itunes Library to a different computer. When I put the Itunes library onto the external hard drive it only had a portion of the songs. Alot did not copy over. How do I make sure that all the songs in Itunes are in the Itunes Library stored on my computer?

These are two possible approaches that will normally work to move an existing library to a new computer.
Method 1
Backup the library with this User Tip.
Deauthorize the old computer if you no longer want to access protected content on it.
Restore the backup to your new computer using the same tool used to back it up.
Keep your backup up-to-date in future.
Method 2
Connect the two computers to the same network. Share your <User's Music> folder from the old computer and copy the entire iTunes library folder into the <User's Music> folder on the new one. Again, deauthorize the old computer if no longer required.
Both methods should give the new computer a working clone of the library that was on the old one. As far as iTunes is concerned this is still the "home" library for your devices so you shouldn't have any issues with iTunes wanting to erase and reload.
I'd recommend method 1 since it establishes an ongoing backup for your library.
Note if you have iOS devices and haven't moved your contacts and calendar items across then you should create one dummy entry of each in your new profile and iTunes should merge the existing data from the device.
If your media folder has been split out from the main iTunes folder you may need to do some preparatory work to make it easier to move. See make a split library portable.
Should you be in the unfortunate position where you are no longer able to access your original library or a backup then then see Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device for advice on how to set up your devices with a new library with the maximum preservation of data.

You can put the TC in router mode.. dhcp + nat and try it..

You have lots of time.. try every method.. just reset if you mess up and start over. You cannot hurt anything.. indeed you can export your current setup in airport utility so you can restore it easily.
Take your time and make up a proper log and try different settings..
I found it hard to change DNS.. what the company refers to as many people with TC and extreme running this setup unfortunately you really have to work from where you are. If your TC shows DHCP + NAT then bridge is off.. and you have full router and you can play to your hearts content with dns settings.
Tell us what the make and model of the modem you have now.
Give us the current dhcp setup of the modem.. ie the range of IP's and DNS settings.

However, when I inserted the installation disk into my Mac (with lion os), I was prompted to get an updated installation software for Lion and directed t the Apple website. Apparently, the hp sofware was only good for 10.5 and 6 version. Where do I find this updated hp installation software for the laptop? I could not locate it on the website.

The iPhone 4s is a multi carrier 'world' phone, it works on CDMA and GSM based networks.
Check out what system the carriers in Qatar operate on and check the technical specs of the iPhone 4s.
The chances are the iPhone 4s will work fine on their network.
You will need to make sure the carriers in Qatar offer Micro SIM cards to use in the iPhone 4s. If the carriers don't offer Micro SIM, you will not be able to use the iPhone 4s with a standard SIM (without a bit of SIM card surgery).

How can I make sure my history doesn't expire and that I can transfer over places.sqlite?

There's probably alot of questions on this subject asked already but I've gone over just about all of the possibly relevant ones that've been already asked and I still can't figure out what to do. I'm trying to move my complete history from an XP Firefox profile over to a Windows 7 profile on another computer. Do I just do it by copying the places.sqlite file within that XP profile over into my USB flash drive, then replacing the places.sqlite in the Winodws 7 profile with the one from the other one? And after the file's in the right profile will I be able to just view all the sites I viewed on the old computer on the new one's history dialog box? I only am transferring my XP history to my Windows 7 because I want to look at stuff several months back and it keeps expiring on me, even to the point of getting rid of a month of history a week or so ago. This brings me to my other point, I keep up fairly well with updating both of my Firefoxes but recently (and I think this was way, way after they updated the browser so the history isn't set to expire by days anymore) the history just isn't reliable anymore. My XP will not only expire older months of history faster and faster it seems, but individual websites at the end of each month will actually disappear as I view new ones, instead of it all staying in there and just expiring each old month as a whole. Also, random sites in every month scattered all over the list of URLs will just disappear, and random sites that I've only visited in the past couple days will insert themselves randomly into much older months of history, which makes it hard to figure out the URLs I've seen, this last one seems like a common problem from what I've read, and all of these problems seem to be slowly creeping into my Windows 7 as well when they were originally on only my XP. The thing is for a very long time my Windows 7 would keep every ounce of my history that I kept on it, unless of course I went through the Clear History process myself. Now it seems to be slowly deleting it and having all the other problems that I mentioned earlier. I've got 592 GB out of 931 GB that's free space on my Windows 7 that I want to transfer my XP history into, and my Control Panel System panel says I've got 8 gbs of RAM in total. If I need to get some other information on RAM mention how to do that if you could. So in total, how can I transfer my XP history over into my Windows 7 so I can view all the sites I viewed on my XP in my Windows 7 history panel, as well as view all the old expired and/or manually deleted history on my Windows 7, without worrying about whether it will expire itself while I'm viewing it and writing down the relevant URLs that I need to know about. You can tell if the File System (the various directories, catalogs etc.) is ok by repairing your backup drive, per #A5 in Time Machine - Troubleshooting.
You can "spot check" whether the Time Machine "Star Wars" display seems correct.
You can do a full system restore to another disk per #14 in Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions, then start up from it and see if things are there and seem to work.

When I sync with itunes, the photos sections says I am syncing with my iphone, so I assume that anything I physically delete from my iphone should not be showing up again. Right?

Is that really how sync works?
If you read this, http://support.apple.com/kb/ht4236 and this http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1314 they don't actually make how sync works very clear. I had thought that syncing my device to itunes would allow I tunes to copy what was currently on my phone so that I could restore that information when needed ie if your phone dies and you need to do a clean install of the iOS system, you always have what is currently on your phone saved in Itunes.

What you seem to be saying is that iTunes saves every contact, message, photo etc and when you click sync, it reuploads things that you deleted? This seems like it should work the opposite. Make a mirror image of my iPhone on my computer, not make a mirror image of my computer onto my iPhone. You delete things for a reason.

I use the option "use alternate display to view presenter information", and it works fine with my secondary display at home. The presenter information (Presenter Display) with my notes etc. shows up.
But when I gave a practice talk at my university, the Presenter Display did not show up, although all settings were the same. Back at home with my own secondary display, it works fine again.

I have a similar problem. Last year I gave a presention at a client's office using my Macbook. I had the presenter display on my Macbook screen and the presentation on their projector.
A few months ago I upgraded to the latest Macbook Pro 15" (plus there have been upgrades to OS X and Keynote in that time). This time when I tried to run the same set-up my MBP screen went blank. I tried changing settings for Keynote and System prefs with no success. The only way I cuould give the presentation without needing to look at the projector screen was to mirro the displays (and lose the Notes of course). Maybe there is a bug with the latest Keynote?

I did followed your advice immediately and erased all the service number as well as S/Ns.
Can you, however, give me any "direct number" through which I can get hold of someone and request for what you're suggesting?
I believe I had talked with the person by the name of "Charlie" (I think... I hope I'm correct...) when I was having the same problem with the last device. He was very kind and helpful, though I ended up getting the device that brought the same problem.
Charlie told me that if I had any more problems I should call him. But I forgot to take down his direct number.
Or maybe I should call the main office and ask for him. But my memory is questionable as to his name, and besides I don't even know his last name either. There could be more than one "Charlies" in Palm.
So, if you could somehow email me some direct number (other than the one that keeps on hooking me up with those people in the overseas who are answering the phone only to sympathize with & apologize to me but can only issue a false hope with the SRO#. Look in your Applications folder for Install Mac OS X Mavericks file.
Better be sure you straighten out those peculiarities on your system before you upgrade to Mavericks or you will likely find yourself with a botched system. Be sure to perform the EFI update before upgrading, too. Put all normal OS X applications and files where they belong. Otherwise, erase the drive first. (after the EFI update.)
