How do you select data from tables not in the Properties table list?

Hi I am new to SAP B1.
I am amending the production order and wish to add fields from the Bill of Materials table Itt1. However this table is not in the list of tables for this report.
1. Do I have to redo the whole report in Crystal or is there a way of using the PLD report?
2. This table join needs to have 2 fields in the join the father and the child item codes. How many joins can the PLD report look after? I assume that Relate to is the first join and next segment is a second join. Am I right or not as I have been unable to find any reasonable documentation on creating and maintaining PLD reports.
3. Where can I find information if any on System Variables and what data they represent?

welcome to Sdn forum!
For question 1, i think you can do this using pld.
For question 2, to be able to view other tables, you will need to hold the ALT button and press the database table(Properties section on the lower right portion of the PLD screen), you can now view other tables. then to join other tables you will need to RELATE to and Next Segment, you can also find this under Properties and go to Content Tab.
for question 3, you will need to create a query that will lead you to the exact field name, say for example SELECT Price from POR1, this price is actually variable 81 from purchase order line and the equivalent value is the por1.price..

How do you Select data from two tables with similar data amd merge the output together.

I have two Tables containing Sales Data. I want to read the Table a sort by date and accumulate dollars by order date. Then I want to read the second table and accumulate these dollar amounts by date and then merge the records together so that I gave 1 row
with amounts for type A and amounts for type b.

Data cannot be stored in structure.
Structure is just like a view , so its a medium with which you can create a view relevant to your needs.
The fields that we need together , we put in a structure.
Structure is a medium where we collect all our relevant fields.
we can include the structure in internal table so that we can actually store data , process data and retrieve data.

You could use XMLQuery to return the data from your tables as XML, that would give you a CLOB.
An example using the SCOTT schema might be like this:

If the content is on an external drive, but your library knows where to find it, then it should all work. Connect your device, make some selections for what to put on it, and sync. If, on the other hand, your current iPod is the only place holding some of your media then see this user tip: Recover your iTunes library from your iPod or iOS device.

I created a shared variable on the RT target and used them on the log VI created under "My Computer", but I get error.

What are your data rates? If you are producing data "continuously", you might find that Network Streams are easier and more reliable than Network Shared Variables. In any case, you need an "engine" on one side (Host or Target) or the other. I'm streaming 24 channels of 16-bit data from a PXI controller to a PC this way, with three other streams handling two-way messaging and transmission of "occasional" time-stamped data to the PC.

The first part of the data set has Product information (Product-Name, Product_number, etc),
The second portion of the data-set has information like (Product-campaign, Product-Sales, etc)

Patrick Hurst mentioned, if the several tables didn't have any relationship with each other and you want to put all the information together to display in one report, you need to add several tablix/list in the same report and each tablix/list to display
the data from each table.
If the several table have a same relationship field you can use the
lookup function to get the other maped fields display in the same tablix/list.(this function supportted on the SSRS 2008 r2 and later version).

How can you add data from a variable into a column in a data flow?

I need to populate a table with data from a variable. The data type of the variable is String. I'm running into issues doing it the way I am. I have variable
User:VariableName = "Some moderately sized string of data"
When I try to use a Derived Column Transformation Editor to insert the variable into the data flow as a new column, SSIS forces the Data Type to be Unicode String[DT_WSTR] and I can't change it. Additionally the length is 0 and I also can't change that.
When I run the package it errors with a truncation error. If the length is 0 then that makes sense but then why can't I change it to something that makes more sense?
What is the correct way to go about this?
