What is Bapi? And How does it related to WebDynpro?

BAPI:
Whereas BAPIs (Business API(Application Program Interface)) are used for interfacing between two systems. They are remotely enabled function module ie it can be invoked from remote programs like standalone JAVA programs, web interface etc..
Function Modules are used in SAP programs to modularze the programs. They are Global ABAP programs created by SAP for reusable purpose. They have IMPORT,EXPORT and TABLE parameters, and EXCEPTIONS to through when error occurs.
You can create them from TCode SE37.They are similar to Functions we have in C, but with more functionality.
ECC (Enterprise Control Component):
Master data will be saved in ECC System only.
ECC is Standalone and ECC is nothing but a backend system similar to Oracle
It has two versions: ECC 5.0, ECC 6.0 and Now ECC 7.0 is going to release on coming few months.
Kernel, support pack and all other tools are very much advance in ecc6.0 compare to any other version of sap. It supports NetWeaver component also like BI, XI and EP. In ECC6.0 all components are integrated in single software.

I had developed a Webdynpro Java application "ZWD", it's URL is
"http://jt-pldev:50000/webdynpro/dispatcher/local/ZWD_FLIGHT/ZWD".
"ZWD" had 2 input parametere "InputField" and "InputField1" .
Accroding to SAP Online Help document, we can transfer parameter Webdynpro application .
I want to transfer parameters to application "ZWD" via URL

But it failed.
My questions:
1. How to transfer parameter to Webdynpro Java application "ZWD" ?
2. Does it possible that transfer input parameter to Webdynpro application and run the applicaiton via specific URL ?

how my page will react?

The hx:scriptCollector is part of the IBM Faces Client Framework and has nothing to do with Sun JSF RI.
Lot of the hx components require specific Javascript and those hx components should be placed inside a single hx:scriptCollector which on its turn checks the nested hx components and renders the desired Javascript for it at the end of the tag. Check the HTML source for that Javascript.

How does NetWeaver support FIPS in java part?

As we know, default JDK doesn't support FIPS in the SSL/TLS socket.
There are 3rdpart soft, like certicom, bsafe can support this.
And in the opensource, NSS + jdk, seems can be a solution.
Here, just a question, how does NetWeaver support FIPS in java part? Is there an internal implementation?

I'm not aware of any. The library is backwards compatible so you should be able to replace an existing SAP Cryptographic Library with CommonCryptoLib. The Crypto Kernel implementation seems to exist only for AS ABAP. Maybe someone working on security at SAP can comment, I will ping the Security space to get their attention.

How to get the session reference of any Webdynpro Java Application . My purpose is that thr is one WD application is getting launched , now if suppose user didn't perform any action on it and session for that application got expired . After the session got expired i have to update the table with the status . So to track that i need the session reference of WD application which i m looking for .
How could i get the same . Kindly help me on this .

How to implement paging in webdynpro jave based on search criteria.

Hi All,
In a requirement I need to implement paging in webdynpro java development.
I successfully did it when there is no search criteria is available i.e webdynpro fetched all data from the BO object and I did it using a "indexNO" (unique serial no from 1,2,3,4.....) field available in BO object.
But when there is search criteria available , i.e the data to be fetched from the BO based on some specific field , at that time the "indexNo" field of all data fetched based on search criteria are discrete i.e not continious. In that case how to implement the paging concept.
I am using CE version 7.1 EHP 1.

Hi,
If you go to your VO and generate the ViewObjectImpl, in there you can create a method which will contain two parameters, 1 the attribute name and 2 the value.
Then you can follow something like explained in this post:
ADF Tutorial: How to apply bulk actions to a view object rows
The only difference is that you will need to create a method like this:
public void updateAttribute(String attribute, Integer value){
        RowSetIterator iter = createRowSetIterator(null);
        while (iter.hasNext()){
            Row row = iter.next();
            row.setAttribute(attribute, value);
Then you expose that as a client interface and then after you filter your table by your criteria you just need to execute this method passing the right parameters.

I have 2 webdynpro java application.The applications sharing the same backend function module.Could anyone tell me
How many connection will be established when the same user wants to open 2 different application but these 2 application shares the same function module.

Hi,
In webdybnpro ,each Model in an Application utilizes a seperate Connection.If u create JCO connection pool for the User then while connecting to backend
1)The JCO connection pool Manager will open a new connection pool and opens the first connection.
The next available connection from the pool is allocated to the model object.
2)The model object is now able to invoke the required functionality in the ABAP system.
3) When the connection is no longer required by the application, it is returned to the pool.
4) The connection remains logged on to the backend system until either the next application
request is received, or the connection timeout is reached.
5) If no application requests arrive before the timeout is reached, the connection is flagged
for closure.
Note:-If an Application contains 2 models which are connecting to same ABAP system then second Model can be told to share the same JCo connection used by First model This is done by calling its setConnectionProvider() method.

I downloaded the IGS and will install it. But what is about the non-SAP GIS server. Where can I find it? How does IGS access the GIS server?

By default, WAAS preserves the DSCP marking on intercepted packets. There is a configuration option to set/override the DSCP value at the global (device), application, and classifier levels. Currently WAAS provides marking only. There is no action taken by WAAS based on the DSCP value.

How-To : bapi export table webdynpro bapi import table

Hi folks!
This is proving to be very difficult. my appreciation is 10 points to the first helpful answer!!
I am receiving an export table from one bapi (z_xxx_getlist) into my webdynpro. I want to then import the same table into another bapi (z_xxx_savelist) so it can be saved in R/3.
- firstly I tried to map the the view's context attributes to the 2nd bapi, but that didn't work because it deleted the original mapping.
- then I created a new context node for the save bapi and tried to sync data between the nodes, but only ran into nullpointer exceptions.
What's the standard procedure for such a requirement?
