How dynamically read mutliple PROVIDER_URL according to deployment.

Hi,
          I have to deploy my app on different environment for diff. clients.
          e,g client one need to deploy it on two mange servers running on port 80 & 81.
          Second client want to deploy it on single sever say on port 80.
          etc. etc.
          Now i want to dynamically set the following property.
          properties.put(Context.PROVIDER_URL,"")
          Any idea how can i resolve this issue.
          Thanks

I don't think so, but I'm not sure. This question is better suited
          for the ejb newsgroup.

  • How to read whether dynamic checkboxes are checked or not

    Hi experts ,
              I have created number of checkboxes dynamically. I want to read whether they are checked or not. If they are checked I will do some operations and if not checked some different operations are to be done. Please tell me how to read that checkbox is checked or not.
    Please help.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi pratibhas ,
    While creating the checkbox dynamically, you can bind that checkbox with some context attribute of type WDY_BOOLEAN.
    Now when you need to see whether a perticular checkbox is selected or not, check it's attributes value whether it is 'X' or ' ' .

  • How to specify JDBC Oracle url using deployment tool - Entity Bean

    Hello I'am new to EJB.
    When creating a entity bean-managed persistence and you need to specify the jdbc url with user name
    and password to establish a connection object, how does one specify that in the deployment
    tool?
    Heres an example of what has in the J2EE tutorial has in AccountEJB to get an connection object
    private String dbName = "java:comp/env/jdbc/AccountDB";
    private void makeConnection() throws NamingException, SQLException {
    InitialContext ic = new InitialContext();
    DataSource ds = (DataSource) ic.lookup(dbName);
    con = ds.getConnection();
    Now if my oracle jdbc url is to be jdbc:oracle:thin:@Abe:1521:dev
    ie My host is Abe, port number 1521 and database name of dev and username/password will be system/manager.
    what would my dbName be at the top?
    Would my JNDI lookup of a DataSource resource "java:comp/env/jdbc/AccountDB" become "java:comp/env/jdbc/dev" for starters?
    In the Resource Factories Reference Code I've add a reference of
    Coded Name: jdbc/dev
    Type: javax.sql.DataSource
    Authentication: Container
    and down the bottom of the I've put JNDI Name: MyAccount
    according to the AccountClient code of:
    Context initial = new InitialContext();
    Object objref = initial.lookup("MyAccount");
    and put User Name of "system" and Password of "manager"
    I'am sure in the source code I have to put
    Class.forName("oracle.jdbc.driver.OracleDriver")
    else you would get that no sutitable driver error, maybe you don't have to if ejb server is smart enough?
    What I'am confuse about is where to specify the jdbc url of "jdbc:oracle:thin:@Abe:1521:dev" ??
    Know it won't work because of this vital part. Do you have to put that somewhere else in the deployment tool or properties file, or some other tool??
    Please help

  • How to read/write .CSV file into CLOB column in a table of Oracle 10g

    I have a requirement which is nothing but a table has two column
    create table emp_data (empid number, report clob)
    Here REPORT column is CLOB data type which used to load the data from the .csv file.
    The requirement here is
    1) How to load data from .CSV file into CLOB column along with empid using DBMS_lob utility
    2) How to read report columns which should return all the columns present in the .CSV file (dynamically because every csv file may have different number of columns) along with the primariy key empid).
    eg: empid report_field1 report_field2
    1 x y
    Any help would be appreciated.

    If I understand you right, you want each row in your table to contain an emp_id and the complete text of a multi-record .csv file.
    It's not clear how you relate emp_id to the appropriate file to be read. Is the emp_id stored in the csv file?
    To read the file, you can use functions from [UTL_FILE|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/u_file.htm#BABGGEDF] (as long as the file is in a directory accessible to the Oracle server):
    declare
        lt_report_clob CLOB;
        l_max_line_length integer := 1024;   -- set as high as the longest line in your file
        l_infile UTL_FILE.file_type;
        l_buffer varchar2(1024);
        l_emp_id report_table.emp_id%type := 123; -- not clear where emp_id comes from
        l_filename varchar2(200) := 'my_file_name.csv';   -- get this from somewhere
    begin
       -- open the file; we assume an Oracle directory has already been created
        l_infile := utl_file.fopen('CSV_DIRECTORY', l_filename, 'r', l_max_line_length);
        -- initialise the empty clob
        dbms_lob.createtemporary(lt_report_clob, TRUE, DBMS_LOB.session);
        loop
          begin
             utl_file.get_line(l_infile, l_buffer);
             dbms_lob.append(lt_report_clob, l_buffer);
          exception
             when no_data_found then
                 exit;
          end;
        end loop;
        insert into report_table (emp_id, report)
        values (l_emp_id, lt_report_clob);
        -- free the temporary lob
        dbms_lob.freetemporary(lt_report_clob);
       -- close the file
       UTL_FILE.fclose(l_infile);
    end;This simple line-by-line approach is easy to understand, and gives you an opportunity (if you want) to take each line in the file and transform it (for example, you could transform it into a nested table, or into XML). However it can be rather slow if there are many records in the csv file - the lob_append operation is not particularly efficient. I was able to improve the efficiency by caching the lines in a VARCHAR2 up to a maximum cache size, and only then appending to the LOB - see [three posts on my blog|http://preferisco.blogspot.com/search/label/lob].
    There is at least one other possibility:
    - you could use [DBMS_LOB.loadclobfromfile|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/appdev.102/b14258/d_lob.htm#i998978]. I've not tried this before myself, but I think the procedure is described [here in the 9i docs|http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B10501_01/appdev.920/a96591/adl12bfl.htm#879711]. This is likely to be faster than UTL_FILE (because it is all happening in the underlying DBMS_LOB package, possibly in a native way).
    That's all for now. I haven't yet answered your question on how to report data back out of the CLOB. I would like to know how you associate employees with files; what happens if there is > 1 file per employee, etc.

    Hi All
    I have a specific requirement. I got an internal table with many fields (let it be my_tab).  Some of the fieldnames (column names in internal table my_tab) are stored in separate internal table(let it be my_fields).

  • How to specify the target name while deploying a code in OSB-- Plz Help

    Hi all,
    Am working in creating a cluster environment. For my testing i created a new managed server(OSB_Server) in 9001 port in the admin console itself and that server started running. The default managed server(Admin_Server) is in 7001 port. So when i deploy a code in 7001 sb console the WSDL gets exposed in 7001 because the default admin server port is 7001. While deploying a code in service bus admin console we are not specifying the target name. So how to specify the target name while deploying the code in service bus admin console. Plz help me.
    Regards
    Prabhu

    Hi Prabhu,
    There are three kind of server architecture possible for OSB -
    1. Single server - Everything gets deployed on Admin server itself
    2. Admin Server + Single Managed Server for OSB -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB managed server. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB managed server port only and NOT on admin server port
    3. Admin Server + OSB cluster -- OSB configuration gets deployed on OSB cluster. OSB resources (proxy service, WSDL, Schema) will remain available on OSB Cluster port(s) only and NOT on admin server port
    Converting one type of server architecture to any other type, requires a manual tedious process, so it is suggested that you create domain accordingly i.e. if you need clusters then while creating domain itself, create OSB cluster, so that all OSB applications gets deployed to OSB cluster. I will suggest you to create a clustered domain from scratch and import the configuration from your existing domian to this new clustered domain.

    Mallik,
    Try  URL Parameters in HTTP sender communication channel.
    In the sender communication channel set Adapter Specific Message Attributes. Click on Apply URL Parameters. In Parameter1 put sap-user (U can query any URL parameter by giving its name as in the HTTP URL).
    Now in SXMB_MONI, in inbound payload SOAP Header, under Dynamic configuration u can see the value of the user. Query the same in Mapping using Dynamic Configuration using keyName as UrlParamOne.

    Hi there, I am currently wanting to do the same thing. I would like to know what you ended up doing. Our log files get quite large (we log 8gigs a day), and the weblogic log files are 512MB each. Would scripting be better than java for this task? Our log files also run on multiple mservers on multiple servers, so searching for XML messages is on multiple servers, on multiple mservers is quite a daunting task to do manually!

  • How to read fieldcatalog of Data Entry View in CAT2

    Hi,
         I have a requirement wherein I need to validate the time data of 'Data Entry View' in TCode: CAT2. Here, there is a table control which uses dynamic field catalog (for days Eg: MO 11/07, TU 11/08.....SU 11/13).
           Whenever a user enters the 'Key Date' from CAT2, the system automatically gets the Data Entry Period of that Key date.
    For eg, let's say user enters Key date as '11/28/2011' then the Data entry period would be 11/28/2011 to 12/04/2011.
          Requirement: Now the system should allow the user to enter time for November month only i.e. 28, 29 and 30. It should not allow the user to enter time data for December. In short the system should allow the user to enter times of only one month.
          For this validation I'm using the User Exit: CATS0006 .  Please suggest me how to read the above fieldcatalog,
