How hard is it to order Infinity?

I'm a new customer to BT and already frustrated.
I got my BT Total Broadband Option 3 all activated on Monday 17th Sept (last week) and all has been ok, all setup and internet working.
However as my cabinet went live with Infinity just before my order completed, I thought Ill order this week.  So I did online on Wednesday 19th, all seemed to go through and I picked my install date etc
Heard nothing today so called BT who said they order isnt going through because a password I picked was too long...Ok sorted that they cancelled the order and I re ordered online again, picked an install date etc.
Gave it an hour and checked "My BT" which shows I have a new order of BT Total Broadband 3 which is getting activated today.  I already have this so Ive no idea why BT thought Id need it again, called BT and got it cancelled off and told it could take 24 hours to cancel.
So Im wondering why it seems so hard to upgrade my broadband to Infinity
The email I chose when I orgininally signed up to BT a few weeks back doesnt work either, after a number of calls assuring me that it should work, it doesnt, it says it doesnt exisit as a btinternet.com address
Wheres the best place I can contact to sort all this out properly?

you need to go back to the sales team on 0800800150

About all you can do is wait until it finishes or you get an error message.

Could I just order a new internal drive and replace it? Or is it too complicated for the average person? Would be cheaper to buy an external drive than to replace internal one? Any advice is appreciated

How certain are you the superdrive ONLY is at fault?
That depends on your skill level, if you grew up tearing things apart and putting them together, its absurd how easy it is.
For some however its too daunting.   On a general skill level for the "average" person its about a 3 out of 10 in difficulty.
    Can you order same? yes.

  • Request old number back, how hard can that be!!

I placed an order online for both infinity 2 and Telephone on the 23rd of September, however other than an order reference sent on email there was no further contact from BT, so I decided to call and find out when I was likely to have my service transferred from my previous ISP to BT only to be told my order was pending within the system and a new order had to be placed.
I then placed the order with a sales representative that was only concerned about making the sale and gave me inaccurate information in relation to requesting my old number back from my previous ISP, as I was informed I could only make the request for my old number once my telephone and normal broadband was switched to BT.
I was given a date for the transfer of my service on the 7th of october, whereby we didn't then have and telephone or broadband facilities from 0:00am on the 6th of October till 20:00pm on the 8th, therefore the very next day I requested my old number back and attempted to order BT infinity 2 online.
apparently BT systems don't allow two orders to be placed at the same time so both orders somehow got cancelled, therefore I called customer services to order infinity 2 once again only to be told 4 days later that this order had also been cancelled.
Someone then called with an Indian accent that I had a job understanding (does BT vet these call centres to ensure the staff that work there are intelligible ? ) stating that both by telephone and infinity orders had again been cancelled and I had to choose/prioritise what I wanted to be done first; such as infinity or my old number back, I naturally asked to have my old number back as my wife runs a beauty salon business from home that she has already lost custom; due to two new numbers already being issued to us.
A new order was placed to request my old number back on the 16th of October to which I was told I had to wait eleven days for this to complete and then I could order infinity.
I decided to call again this morning (23rd october) to request an update only to be told again by someone with an Indian accent (constantly asking him to repeat what he had said!! ) that they could not find my order again and informed me that they he had placed the order once again to which I have to wait five days, whereby he would call me back to pursue with my infinity order..
How hard can it be to transfer my services to BT, my previous ISP completed the transfer on the date I was given, yet I'm still waiting for BT to have my number transferred from BT wholesale unbelievable!!
I've even looked at my online bill and most of the charges I have incurred are from trying to sort out this mess by calling customers services in Falkirk that I am reluctant to pay as both my infinity and telephone orders are cancelled not from my doing but an ordering system that has numerous flaws built within in it, I'm annoyed with the whole process and wish I had stayed with my previous ISP, so can someone help me escalate this or guide me in the right direction to sort this issue out by somehow getting my old number back?? (30 day limit before my number is issued to someone else)
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

After finally speaking with someone that first of all I could understand from Falkirk (not somewhere in Asia) and knew what they were doing, a test was done by placing a request for my number there an then to see what error message would display, then an only then did the representative know what type of request/form needed to be made.
After seven days a mobile text was received stating that I had finally retrieved my old number back, although what I would advise everyone when switching to BT from a previous ISP and placing an order over the phone; make sure the request to transfer your old number is part of that initial order and don't let the sales department give you any inaccurate jargon/information to finalise that sale, customer services are apparently the only ones that can request your old number back as part of that order.
Even though I have finally retrieved my old number back I am still now waiting for that number to be assigned to my broadband line as I still cannot upgrade to infinity with my broadband currently assigned to the number I was initially given when I switched to BT, therefore the system wont allow me to upgrade until the system recognises my details.
Good Luck to anyone that encounters the same problems that I have, as its now been 5 weeks since my first order for BT for infinity, hopefully I will be able to place an order sometime today when both my telephone line and broadband are synced to the same telephone number.

  • Does anyone know how hard it is to get to the hard drive?

I want to just go to the Apple store to pick up a Macbook. I just called them and they aren't selling any BTO Macbooks at this time. I want white, which means I would be stuck with a 60gb hard drive unless I order it through the web site.
Anyone see any manuals or read anything suggesting how difficult it would be to do a hard drive swap? If it isn't too bad I could get a 7200rpm drive in there and be the only kid on the block with one! I doubt any service centers will be prepared to work on them for atleast a few weeks.
    Kalel

According to the MacBook Users Guide (link is a PDF), the hard drive is not a user installable part. We may have to wait until Ars Technica takes one apart and lets everyone know where the hard drive is. They have a habit of buying Apple products and taking them apart.

  • How can I control the order of playback on MuVu Mix (USB 2.

What determines the order of playback of music files stored on the MuVu Mix (USB 2.0)? How can I control the order?
Apparently it is not name order. The music titles are prefixed by sequential numbers. But that is not the order that the files play back.
I tried erasing all contents, then copying the files one by one to the MuVo Mix in the order that I want them to play back (name order). But that is not the order that the files play back.
By the way, in both case, I removed the ".dat" file first. (I also tried keeping the ".dat" file, to no avail.)

I did, and they confirmed (very quickly; kudos!) what you and I both expect: the play order is determined by the alphabetical order of the file names. The mistake was mine. I ass-u-me-d that the MSWin folder "Name ^" order was correct. I did not realize that it is not exactly alphabetical when the file name begins with a number (e.g, the track number). I had renumbered songs from a second CD by simply adding 00 to the track number. Thus, songs and 2 of the first CD are played after songs 08 and 09 of the second CD, as they should alphabetically, even though they appear in the order , 2, 08, 09 in the "Name ^" list. Klunk! Mea cupla!

  • Can anyone tell me how to upgrade to the BT infini...

    Hi, all
I have an existing BT Total Broadband Option 3.
can anyone tell me how to upgrade to the BT infinity
    Many thx
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi and welcome.
Enter your telephone (landline) number into the Infinity avaliability checker... scroll down a little on this site.-
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=29017&s_cid=con_FURL_...
If you receive an available result you can either have a look at the Infinity options and order on line.-
    http://www.productsandservices.bt.com/consumerProducts/displayTopic.do?topicId=25633
Or ring BT on 150 from a BT Landline  (Contact us 0800 800 150 for non BT landlines).
I ordered by telephone and changed from BT Total Broadband to BT Infinity option 1 with the 2MB upload cap and 40GB Usage...
I added an uplift for Anytime UK landilne calls as I had that with my old BT broadband but the new Infinity only offered weekend.
    (They now include evening).
There is the other Unlimited Infinity option to consider as well.... all info on that website above.
Example of Infinity available now picture.-
Please Click On any Text in Blue as that automatically links to information.

  • How hard is it to upgrade HD yourself?

    Hi,
A friend of mine has a 12" powerbook and her drive just died,
but the Mac repair shop is taking forever on it so I am
thinking about ordering an 80 GB drive from macsales
    and installing it for her.
    I've never done it before.
How hard is it and where can I find instructions for doing it?
    Thanks!

PBFixit.com will have photos and instructions.
It's...ok. It's a very time consuming procedure however nothing is inherently difficult. Make sure you have a very good quality screwdriver, I first opened mine with a cheap one and it sheared in the screw head. I'd set aside 1hr minimum to get it done, or if you're not confident inside laptops/haven't dismantled one before say 1.5hrs. Go slow, be careful.
Right now the best 80GB hard-drive is the Western Digital 800VE. It's got excellent specs, excellent benchmarks and is super-quiet.

Why we still dont have sound notifications on iPhone??? This started in September with the launch of the new IOS and iPhone 5... I've been waiting and waiting and still nothing... How hard can this be to fix????????

Hi guys... The notifications i'm speaking about are everything that happens on our facebook. The only exception where i get notifications is if someone actually use my name on a post, then i have a notification. Now, if it is a post on my wall, a comment on one of my photos or even a like, there is no sound or vibration at all.
Also, when i say "We" is bacause  there are a few users complaining about the same. There are some other forums, specially on facebook about this. What happens is that facebook blocks some of those groups.
One more thing is i did try all possible things to make sure i was doing the right things in order to have notifications. Slider is obviously not in mute position, notifications sounds are on on facebook settings on main settings and also inside the app they are on. Did try to switch everything off and reboot then change again. Did restore the iPhone as new a couple of times. And like i said, if someone actually write my name i will have sound notification...
Anyway, many thanks for your help

  • How can i change my order shipping address~

I'm now being abroad , my family moved to NY from CA a few days ago ,but my order shipping adress was still my CA address ,how can i change my order shipping address except phonecall ,can someone please give me the apple serve Email which can chage my shipping address before Oct 8th when the product post~
    thx a lot!
    my email ad:[email protected]

Have you tried to change your address with DHL? I think that will solve your problem if changing address with Apple is so hard, or too late at the moment.
And I suggest you to call instead of sending emails, it's way more efficient. I know you are in China, but I don't see why you can't make a phone call from there.
In addition, you can try track your DHL shipment via this service, http://dhl.trackingnumber.org/, it shows the location on a map.

  • How hard is setting up an e-commerce site?

    Hi
I'm starting an online store, and have heaps of time on my
hands, so thought I would have a crack at doing as much as possible
    myself.
I have almost finished the design and css styling of the
site, and am wondering how hard it is to code the back-end?
The site will be selling stubby holders (drink coolers), and
allows users to upload images for an online contest which decides
the images that end up being printed on the products.
    Here's what I need:
    USER SYSTEM:
    · user registration
    · user login
    · update user profiles
    · users can vote for images that have been entered in a
contest – one vote per image per user (which means each file
must have a unique name, that can't be re-used)
    · post comments on images – one comment per image
per user (comments will need to be stored and moderated before they
go live to filter out inappropriate content)
    · opt in and out for newsletters
    · apply for an affiliation link (by automatically
assigning a member ID number to new users when they register. When
the user goes to the page to get their affiliate link code and
images, the copyable link code already has their member ID in it)
    · track affiliation activities eg click-throughs,
resulting purchases, and credit user’s account with points
that can be redeemed towards the purchase of products
    UPLOAD SYSTEM
    · A system for users to upload their images
    PRODUCT LISTING AND SHOPPING SYSTEM
    · list all available products price, stock availability
    · when clicked, list the details for a design, including
large image, price, stock availability for each size
    · shopping cart
    · checkout function
    · payment facility that caters for instant credit card
and Paypal payments, but also for delayed payment methods such as
direct deposit, money order and cheque
    · payment facility must have discount code option where
affiliates can enter their affiliate code and have any affiliate
points they previously earned translate into a discount on their
    purchase
    ADMINISTRATIVE DATABASE SYSTEM
    · manage users, view/update user details
    · send newsletters to subscribed users
    · view/update orders
    · view/update uploaded designs from artists
    · add/view/update the available for purchase
    procucts/pricing/stock availability
    · track and instantly update and display the vote tally
and voting time left (14 days from when selected images go live)
for each image submitted and selected to take part in the contest.
Also display a comments tally for each image (all of this is when
the user is browsing the images. This info is also displayed when
the user clicks on an image to take them to the voting screen,
where comments that have been left and the voting system is also
    displayed).
I've not had experience with PHP and SQL, but if I take my
time and ask heaps of questions, is is doable, or should I just
hire a pro to code the backend?
    Cheers!
    Shaun

I agree wholeheartedly with Pete's excellent advice, your
    storefront is your
businesses face to the world and will often be the only
    contact your
customers have with you. Make sure it is a pleasant and easy
    experience that
will bring then back time and again by hiring a pro to do
    this for you.

  • How do I get an ordered collection with a CMP relatioship?

    Hello,
I'm actually learning to use CMP. I'm trying to read a list of items from a table. I defined a getItemCollection function, linked to a relationship defined in my ejb-jar.xml. When I call the getter function, It returns a randomly unordered collection. I was expecting to get the returned collection in natural order.
    So my question is:
    1) how do I get a collection of items in natural order with a relationship defined getter?
    2) how do I get an ordered collection from a relationship defined getter?
If I would be using a ejbSelect function, I would use an "order by", but in this case, I couldn't find any information.
    Thanks for any help.

  • How do I change the order of the fields in my pdf form?

I am using pdf. form I made in Acrobat and distributing with Adobe FormsCentral.  We use a table format for our teachers to fill out their field trip schedules and therefore use many different fields.
How can I change the order of the fields (not for tabbing, we figured that out)...so that when we receive our notification email, I can see the inforamtion in a specific order (Date, Time, School, Program, etc).
We would also like this same order to appear in the "View Responses" table.  I know you can drag and drop the order in the table but we have over 100 fields and that is going to take a really long time.

What do you mean by the "order they appear in the pdf structure"?  What is the "Pdf structure"?
thank you for your help... this is really upsetting, as I thought we finally found a solution with Adobe Forms : (
We really need the fields to report back in a specific order and wouldn't have time to rearrange over 100 fields with every form that is submitted. We receive about 10-20 different forms a day (same form layout, just some of the fields will have to be prefilled depending on school/teacher reservation... so we have to name each form a different name, for each school).
Thank you again and maybe one day they will change that.  Is there anyway to set it up in the web verison of Adobe FormsCentral to look similar to the table we have created?

  • How to get the Purchase order Qty in the object dependency

    Hi,
We are using variant pricing in the purchase order. I have condition type say u201CZVBPu201D for Pallet cost. I defined Pallet cost as 5 USD per each (pallet). I have to calculate Number of pallets = Purchase order Qty/ 5. The number of pallets should be rounded to nearest integer.
My question is how to get the Purchase order Qty in the object dependency?
Is there any reference table and field can be used to get Purchase order Qty just like we use MMCOM-VKOND for variant pricing.
    Appreciate your help
    Thanks,
    Srini

    Hi,
    1. I do not have system now so I can not conclusively tell about table field .
    2. Since I did it long back so I also do not exactly remember it, there are more than one place where PO qty appears for example Item overview and Item details - one of the PO qty when used in the characteristic do pull the PO qty which can be used for variant pricing (so request to please update the forum with the correct table and field once you find it - in the meantime if I get opportunity to get to system I will also try and find out ).
