"<group name>" does not appear to be a valid email address. Do you want to send it anyway?

10GR2 - Match Merge - How can I Rank a list of values?

Hi
I am trying to use 10GR2 to take a set of multiple records and merge them into a single record. e.g.
ID Value
1 val1
1 val2
etc
I want to merge these into one record and give val1 priority over val2 etc. So the output record for ID 1 will have a value = val1.
I am trying to use a match-merge operator using rank, but am not sure how to use the Rank Rule Editor.
Can anyone please help with how I format the expression to rank these values? Or if this is the correct way to do this in 10GR2?

Hi,
LOV is map to an attribute in the viewObject so it will return only one value or more values from selected row. You can't select multiple rows from LOV.
But you can do this by using popup which you can select multiple rows and insert the selected rows to another table.

How to change background color in List of Values (LOV) ?

In Forms 10g, the background color in list of values (LOV) is White whereas it was grey in Form 6i. Also, the position of 3 buttons i.e. Find, OK and Cancel on LOV is different than what it used to be in Forms 6i.
Is it possible to change the background color and the position of buttons of LOV in Forms 10g ?

I would like to share the outcome of this issue.
I had posted this same issue on Metalink yesterday. They (Metalink guys) have confirmed that its an bug in Oracle 10g DS R2 and it would be fixed in subsequent releases.

You need to set the display-property="<<Your name property>>" in item-descriptor tag.
e.g. <item-descriptor name="myItem" display-property="name" />

How i can limit the price lists in the LOV in Order Managment using form personlization

am using the below query in the argument but always am getting (FRM-41826 cannot replace group;columns don't match LOV )

OK, I got a very helpful pointer to working around the time function limitations in Numbers.
Now what I have is a table that looks something like this (excerpt of course)

I calculated the third (decimal) column with the formula =TIMEVALUE(B1)*24. Then I can use normal addition to sum the number of hours for a specific value of the fifth column (e.g. Build - Copy writing)
Of course the second row references B2, the third B3, etc.
Now what I would like to do is get a second table that looks like this:
0.50 Design - Draft
0.75 Design - Revision
0.75 Build - HTML
1.00 Build - Copy writing
So what I would like it to do is automatically generate a list of the values in the fifth column with a sum of the decimal values associated with that value in the third column.
Now I can do that by laboriously typing out a list of the values in the fifth column and using the SUMIF function. But then if I miss a value, or mistype a value, I will run into problems.
Is there a way to produce such a summary list automatically?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!

It appeared that there were probably a small number of categories, maybe six or eight, and if the Triton's list were hundreds, making an automated list builder seemed to be overkill. But to do so would require an additional column in the first table which would determine the list of unique categories:
=IF(COUNTIF(B$1:B2,B2)=1,MAX(C$1:C1)+1,"")
Then it's a matter of picking out those categories for the second table:
=IF(ROW()-1>MAX(Table 3 :: Hidden),"",LOOKUP(ROW()-1, Table 3 :: Hidden,Table 3 :: B))
Then the obvious SUMIF to get the values: =IF(A2="","",SUMIF(Table 3 :: B, A2,Table 3 :: A))

That's correct, multi-value attributes do not support this in Endeca.
If you're looking to do it, I would keep writing your updates to the multi-value attribute (to maintain the functionality that depends on this attribute and its multiple values) and also write it to a separate single-value that is constantly being updated, rather than appended to.
Something like:
One attribute called MyValueMulti as a multi-assign.
AND
One attribute called MyValueLatest as a single-assign.

I just found a way to print contacts in ABC order. I signed in to my iCloud account online, then went to Contacts. I selected the contact group I wanted to print on the left page (example Xmas card list). On the right page at the bottom, I clicked on the gear symbol and clicked "select all", then clicked again on "print". When the print window appeared, I saved the file to PDF, just to see if the information was in ABC. It was!
It's not perfect but it works... you can also do the entire list this way also... no choices as to what appears but it is a beginning...

Every object in repository is marked with the 'repoMod' attribute which is the last object modification time stamp. You can use it to filter objects modified after installation.

Parameter Form-How to use a user parameter to retrieve list of values for another par

I am developing a report in Reports 6i. There are 2 parameters on parameter form namely year and month.
LOV for Year is retrieved from database. After user selects a value from LOV for year, I want to retrieve another LOV for month parameter based on selected year. That is how can we use a user parameter's value to dynamically retrieve an LOV for another parameter on the same parameter form.

You can't restrict the "List of Values" of one parameter based on the value of another parameter within the Reports Builder/Runtime parameter form.
The SQL select statements within LOV's are only executed once. They aren't re-calculated when you enter, leave or change other field values in the parameter form. This is mainly because there is no event model in the Reports parameter form and it only supports basic form functionality.
To do what you're after in a client-server environment you need to create an Oracle Forms "parameter form" and use that to execute the Report using the run_product() call. Actually, you should probably use Oracle Forms for any more generic "form" functionality such as radio buttons or check boxes.
If you're in a Web rather than Client-Server environment, it may be easier to create a JSP based parameter form. You can then use Reports 9i since it has JSP support to assist here.
